Fipps 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (8) - 1 = 7 looks at Odiseo, almost as if he understands what the strange man is saying. 1d100 ⇒ 741d3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 "GET IT OFF ME!" he howls, and punches himself in the mouth.
Maheem 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11 gets traction this time and races up the steps towards the deck.
Sy 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15 scrambles awkwardly to her feet and takes a swing 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12 at Ornotck, catching him on the side as he tries to fend off Jape.1d3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3non-lethal
Jape, wary of the rat, steps up to flank Ornotck (F3) and takes another swipe at his legs 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18, hooking the peg this time and dropping the half-orc on the ground.
Aretta, ignoring the easier target beside her, lashes out in retaliation at Ragnar, 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21 kicking him viciously in the shin. 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2non-lethal.
Lorelei |
punch 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
non-lethal damage 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Unhappy with the gang-up on the half-orc, Lorelei steps towards Sy and aims a punch right at her nose. Taking up a protective stance near the downed half-orc.
Taking a swipe at someone's peg leg just ain't fair fighting. What a bunch of scum...
Ornotck Kalsor |
stands up-move action, unarmed strike jape
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
1d3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
why do the dice hate me
to jape you will get a rat for breakfast after i break your face.
i can almost see fen in a cheerleader outfit yelling that out. so funny and cute.
DM Nerk |
A note on Aretta's curious behavior: I had marked down Rag's damage from last round, which was enough to make her retreat. Except he missed her. So we'll say she backed off in shock from the ankle-biter.
Sy, tears streaming down her face from Lorelei's shot to the nose, returns the attack, swinging recklessly 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14 and landing one on the jaw.1d3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 "Stay and fight, you rat."
Aretta hears Sy and turns on the greasy floor 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20 stepping back up and trying her very best to stomp the goblin. 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21 A heavy foot comes down on his leg, slamming his knee painfully against the hard floor. 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Jape hears Odiseo's peculiar words, 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (9) - 1 = 8 gasps and 1d100 ⇒ 52 delivers a powerful, two handed blow to his own belly. 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Fipps, recovers from his confusion and glares at Odiseo, knowing who the source of his temporary madness was. He 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16 slides across the greased floor behind his allies, to stand in front of his tormenter and throw a punch, 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19 which hits. 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4.
Ragnar Stolen-Voice |
Seeing that Slippering Sy is the apparent leader, Ragnar punches her across the mouth.
Unarmed: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Nonlethal: 1d3 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
"Sjuhbuhlnuh guh vuhstuhck!", he cusses in mangled Skald.
DM Nerk |
Sy (1d20 - 1 ⇒ (12) - 1 = 11) is horrified by the oracle's dark (and utterly incomprehensible) prognostications. With a gasp, she turns and (1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13) flees to the stairs.
(Aretta stomps Havok, carried over from last round)
Fipps, (couldn't have punched Odiseo last round from E4, so must have run to F7) sees the oracle as the biggest threat, and steps up to G6 to take another swing (1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3) but is obviously too shaken by the airy nonsense pouring from Odiseo's mouth. (1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15)
Jape, consummate bully that he is, decides not to aggravate the barbarian or the half-orc any further, and takes a swipe at Fen, who's just ticked him off with her cheering. (1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18) He (1d3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2) lands a solid hit.
Ornotck Kalsor |
to speed things up i will go now, only waiting for ragnar now, also fen was only cheering ooc from my understanding.
Ornotck moves over to jape to attack.
You don't mess with the cook.
never mess with a cook you never know what they can feed you next. moron
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
1d3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
landing a solid hit on the bully, hopeful making him back down.
Lorelei |
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21
non leathal damage 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
If Sy is still up after Ragnar's hit, Lorelei lands another punch on her. If not, she then moves and punches Jape for picking on the halfling. Or whoever else is still up and around.
DM Nerk |
@ Ragnar: Sorry, it would seem Sy fled before you could whack her. Assigning that punch to Jape instead, since you can reach him and he's a jerk. Unless you tell me otherwise
@ Ornotck & Fen: I believed her cheering was ooc as well. The thing is that Fipps is the kind of person who would punch a non-combatant halfling out of pure meanness.
Round Four:
I think this is where everyone is. If anyone sees a mistake, let me know. It can be fixed.
Lorelei - G5 Punches Sy, no luck
Odiseo - G6 Fears Sy.
Sy - F5 Flees
Fipps - (moves to) F7 Misses Odiseo
Jape - E4 Hits Fen (mean!)
Aretta - E5 Stomps Havok 3ptsNL
Ragnar - G4 Punches (Jape?) 5ptsNL
Fen - G3 objects strenuously
Havok - F6 Bites again, 3ptsNL
Ornotck - (moves to) F5 pops Jape.
DM Nerk |
Round 5
Lorelei - G5 Punches Jape, possible crit (1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14) confirmed. Scattering his teeth across the hold, Lorelei shows Jape how to do a backflip by punching him in the mouth so hard he does one. And doesn't get up.
Odiseo - G6
Sy - HAS FLED
Fipps - F3
Jape - E4 IS KNOCKED OUT
Aretta - E5
Ragnar - G4
Fen - G3
Havok - F6
Ornotck - F4
Odiseo Haddad |
Nerk: Odiseo should be at H6; he took a step back during his last turn.
Odiseo advances towards Fipps. Moves to H3.
He holds out his hands, palms up and says, "Menk’ khatuts’i dzer dazhanut’yamb e anmeghsunak."
Odiseo uses gift of madness on Fipps; DC 15 Will save or be confused for 1 round.

Odiseo - H6 moves to H3. Madness @ Fipps.
Sy - HAS FLED
Fipps - F3
Jape - E4 IS KNOCKED OUT
Aretta - E5
Ragnar - G4
Fen - G3
Havok - F6 Bites his tongue
Ornotck - F4
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (19) - 1 = 18Fipps makes his save! and throws a punch at Ragnar.1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 landing a punch for 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 hps.
Aretta's eyes go wide when the sees Jape decked, and swings wildly at Lorelei 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9, missing completely.
Ragnar Stolen-Voice |
Ragnar sags at Fipps' punch, still bruised and bloodied from his fall out of the rigging the previous day. He sways for a moment as the blood rushes into his head and a fit of fury overtakes him. Snapping back with bloodshot eyes, he lashes out at Fipps with renewed vigor.
I will use a free action to Rage, which should move me from 0 hp to 2 temporary hp, and attack.
Punch w/rage: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 81d3 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
"SKUHBJUH DUH MUHDUHFUHRUHGUH!!!", he bellows.
Would have been cooler if he actually connected, but whatevs.
DM Nerk |
Fipps eyes open wide in panic as Ragnar charges at him, bellowing, and he deftly leaps out of the way. Cleverly, he leapt directly into the path of Ornotck's hard swing. He managed to spin twice in place with a look of surprise on his face before dropping to the floor like a sack of oats.
END ROUND FIVE
Ornotck Kalsor |
just looked over it and from what it looks like to me damage is like this,
Lorelei 7
Odiseo 4
ragnar 5
fen 2
havok 3
Ornotck 6
just damage from this battle, any damage from nonleathal heals one point an hour even if your active if i remember right. so we should heal this up in the day shift, in theory.
Ragnar Stolen-Voice |
Corrected my sheet; I'm at 1 hp, 3 with the temporary hp from rage. Healing would be really helpful since I took a bad spill yesterday and I've got a flogging tonight.
Teeth clenched and temples throbbing, Ragnar runs at Aretta (assuming she hasn't run up on deck) with a beastly snarl.
Punch vs. Aretta: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 181d3 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
DM Nerk |
Aretta takes another stomp at Havok, still smarting from the teeth on her leg. 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 She misses, and then...
Ragnar clocks her in the jaw, not the dramatic finish that took out Fipps and Jape but a good solid punch that buckles her knees and sends her to the floor at your feet.
Odiseo Haddad |
A round is six seconds, right? 36 seconds late isn't too bad, unless Plugg and Scourge are real sticklers for punctuality.
Odiseo shudders and his eyes become more focused. He blinks a few times as he surveys the unconscious bodies on the floor and the generally disheveled states of his shipmates.
"What happened? Was their a fight?" he asks groggily. "I must have gotten knocked out; it feels like someone punched me in the face."
