ok for starters, i rolled randomly on who would find Lore and orn.

2 what dm feel would you guys like, comical, high adventure, mysterious, ect what ever you guys can think of, for right now i am making it a bit comical while still keeping in line with the ap.

C what kind of descriptions of actions would you guys like to see and or do, from rolling a hit and saying it hit, to rolling a hit and the foes body spin in place from the blow before he regains his balance starring at you with rage. or even the sexual stuff for that matter, of saying they did the deed to being more graphic with it. they plant a fair amount of potential romance partners in the AP and flat out call them that as well, so would be good to know how we should handle the carnal stuff as well.

DEE do you guys want me to decide on how extra uses of skills are used outside of what the book says. ie using bluff to seduce, or would you like a say in it. and do you want me to say what the rules are and where to find them. or just tell you in role playing how it goes.

i ask these things because i want the game to be enjoyable to everyone and to me the best way to do that is to get feedback on what they would like or be ok with in a game, after all it is not just the dm playing it is all of us.

side note Odiseo it seems we are in the same carrion crown game, i am the witch,

side side note. just got two jobs both part time ones, but after looking for work for over a year i am really exited about having work. and i still will be able to gm because well if i am not at work i am on the computer.

Male Human Barbarian (Sea Reaver) 2 HP 22/23, NLD 0; AC 16, FF 14, T 12; Fort +5, Ref +2, Will +1; Init +4, Perc +6

A. I like a good mix, I suppose. Too comedic can get annoying, too dreary and brutal is wearying. Swashbuckling adventure on the high seas can accommodate a good mix of tones as the AP progresses.

B. I'd prefer at least a little description rather than "Okay, you hit for x damage." Each combat round doesn't have to be a novel and it does help if we each describe what we're doing and how we're doing it compared to just leaving it to you to make it all up. As far as the romance angle- I think keeping it classy and PG-13 is the best route. Bodice ripping comes with the genre, but I don't think we need to know it all. Fading to black is cool with me.

C. I think leaving improvised skill use decided on a case by case basis is better than making a long list of exceptions for everything.

Sovereign Court

Female Halfling Witch 1

I agree - especially with this bunch I think there will be a good deal of comic relief, and that's totally cool. That said, let's try not to let it get too over the top, and remember we're still trying to play a fairly realistic game here.

I'm a HUGE fan of vivid descriptions, and always encourage my players to describe what's happening in their actions instead of "17 - I hit for 6 damage!" Show us what's happening in the text, and then if needed provide the mechanics in ooc.

We do need to remember that these are open, public boards with younger folks and those with sensibilities around, so there are times when description might be "too much". I think the PG-13 guideline is a good one to follow.

For skills, I'm fine with it being transparent to me most of the time. You can roll whatever you want and use whatever mechanics to make things happen, and just tell me what the results are - I don't need to know how or why you got to that point. To me that helps with immersion.

Male Goblin Alchemist/1

Havok has the potential to be comic relief, or scary psychopath. He's currently playing both and not really leaning towards any at the time, so I can swing either way

I am also a fan of the combat descriptions, both as a player and as a GM. I however believe that we can be as gory as we should be, as long as everyone is ok with it.

Other ways for skills is good, nice and imaginative

I'd type out a response of my own, but it's easier to just say that I agree with the previous posts. :)

Human Oracle (Dark Tapestry) 1

Next weekend will be my fun weekend. It'll be the first time I've been with my husband since March. So don't be too surprised it you don't here from me then. ;)

Liberty's Edge

Oh, happy for you! I've done the being longs ways apart from spouse for many many months thing before, and it's no fun at all. You then are completely excused that weekend.

well seems we have lost havok, so i will be getting him off the party here shortly.

If someone does not post in a weeks time, i will have to move the game along, if it is in combat, then i will try to have you take an action that you would likely do, or take a delay action if i am unsure what you might do. if in other times i will have you listen as the situation calls for it.

i am not trying to be mean with any of this. i just wish to move the game along and have people have fun.
