Nicely done. I didn't even need the translation.

And I already responded to the substance in my last post.

So, yeah.

That might be hard for some people as it admits that their character isn't important, but here goes

For Fun:
Fen Tova, halfling witch. (Love Witches)
Lorelei, 1/2 elf bard (bards are so misunderstood)
Kiernan D'Agostin, human fighter (corsair) (need a frontliner)
Cecic, halfling cleric of Besmara. (Everyone needs a pirate cleric!)

would be better with a fifth though

Yeah. I was going to just assume that everyone would include themselves in their ideal party.

Also, I'm deciding between 4,5 and 6 members in the final group, if anyone has any thoughts on the subject.

Well I didn't include a ranged character in my list ;)

Five is the optimal number, four is hard for the class roles, and six can get difficult. The less people to wait to post for the best, but you still need enough for the right roles, which is why five is best imo

Sensible.

I was thinking for 6 on the assumption that at least one person flakes.

You can always re-recruit, although that's usually a death sentence at that point.

Six is still resonable, as I'm a heavy poster, I may fill up the gameplay thread with my crazy antics, unless it's combat.

Also something to note, I am aware of the storyline of this AP, as my RL group is just about to start the third book. SO if I am chosen, I will act as naive and blissfully unaware as everyone else, and if you need help with anything, please feel free to ask :)

I tend to prefer 5-6 people. It allows non-optimal character builds a little better (Fen certainly isn't optimized and has very few combat options at the beginning) and more opportunities for intra-party roleplaying. Of course my home group always seems to grow to 8+ people, but that's a completely different animal - and I'll just chalk it up to being such an awesome GM :P

8+ home groups! Wow, I can't do that many people, unless its society, and then the max is 7

I like to have at least 5, so usually go with 6 because it seems like at least one person drops out of every game.

Also, nice list Havok. ;)

In the early days I had 10 at the table once. It was messy, but not too bad. That was when the whole game was a 36 page paperback. OK, probably more than that, but still.

bards are misunderstood :D

I'm sure goblins are too. :)

Lorelei, 1/2 elf bard
Odiseo Haddad, human oracle
Fen Tova, halfling witch.
Havok Fingerburst, goblin alchemist (grenadier).

I think that would be a fairly interesting party, lots of options to play with for them.

A challenging party, with not a full BAB in the bunch.
Then again, so many buffs they will be crippled by the sheer arithmetic of calculating their bonuses. Muahahaha!

Grand Lodge

Felix sits around the tavern, obviously drunk. "How long, does it, take, for, someone, to pick, a, group..."

He gasps for breath in between every word.

Not really, Im just waiting for your selections

Rather than telling him to read the thread, Nerk just slips a dose of Dungeon Master's Mickey into Felix's drink and smiles when he hears the loud thump of a body hitting the floor.

"Just step over him," he tells the next customer. "He'll be out til Monday, when I pick the group."

Havok sniffs Felix unconscious body before making a face and sticking out his tongue in disgust, "Ugh, this bugger smells 'ike soap, he does! Bleah!"

Havok takes out a flask from inside his pocket, smiles with a slight grin and pops the stopper on top. He slobbers into the flask, gives it a good shackle and places the stopper back on the top. He slides it into Felix's pocket before running and diving behind the counter of the tavern. He wraps his huge ears in a ball to stifle the sound

Blowing up the tavern before the AP starts, eh?

I'm sure taverns get blown up all the time around here. Just adds character to the place.

Exothermic redecoration.

Looks like there is plenty of interest in this, so I think I'll withdraw from consideration.

Good luck!

A small blast is heard, and the tavern begins to rain pieces of Felix. Havok jumps up from behind the bar counter and surveys the damage. He bends down and picks up one of Felix's arms, he gives the stump a good sniff.

"Oi mates! This bloke's innards smell delicious, one o' yous gibbers me a shovel, Havok make stew!" He begins collecting various pieces. He also pools some of the blood into some of his flasks. "Havok find use for this too!"

Now might be a good time to become a vegetarian...

Rubbing the sleep out of his eyes, the GM/barkeeps trudges to the door, muttering under his breath. He squats down and hangs a sign on the door at waist height to an ordinary human.

"Blowing up potential shipmates and sleeping customers on the premises is not permitted. The Management."

Are positions still open? If so, might I 'jump ship'? (^_^)

A tall, lithe Elf wanders into the tavern. Her blond mop of hair and tanned physique indicate a life spent under the sun. Her clothing seems to consist of little more than a shirt and skirt, though the handle of a large-ish sword does rise above her shoulder. A small back-pack might hold the rest of her earthly possessions.

She pads barefoot up to the bar, leans against the wood and her lips move in silent concentration as she reads the menu scrawled across the chalk-board there...eventually she seems to understand the goods on offer and leans back, looking over at the Bar-keep,

I'll be havin' a jug o' yer neatest Rum...an' perhaps be lookin' fer lodgin'." She says.

Also, if'n me 'brough' does get a mite thick fer folks t'understand? Jus' gi' me a smack an' I'll tone it down a notch. (^_^)

@ Sunny
Bear with me if I'm missing something obvious.
Where did your bonus feat come from?

No worries there.

I do believe t'is a lil' quirk of the previous campaign's DM.

I'll have a quick look through an' see I can take out any such lil' perks, hey? (^_^)

Glad I am fer gettin' a look in.

Much cheers to all.

Morning, mates.

Recruitment is done and, since the thread has become a virtual trickle, I've had time to look it all over and make my choices.

Ornotck
Lorelei
Fen
Ragnar
Odiseo
Havok

If the six of you would join me in the discussion thread at your earliest convenience, we'll catch the tide and be underway.

For the rest, thank you.
