Then all is absolute darkness. Not even those with the ability to see at night can pierce these shadows. When the light returns, you are all sitting in a large room. In front of you, seated at a table in a high backed, comfortable looking chair are three people. One of them is the bartender from the Shadowed Dragon. One is the man who spoke to you all before who sits in the middle. To his left is one of the most hauntingly beautiful women any of you have ever seen. Her skin is pale white, her hair a dark, almost black purple. She is flawless in the truest meaning of the word.

The man in the middle speaks "Welcome to the Blood Knives. Each of you was chosen due to possessing skills we value. As I am sure many of have guessed, we who sit before you wield power. But we are looking to expand, both here in Absalom and beyond. Possibly way beyond. We are mighty, but we are currently few." He looks at each of you in turn.

"That is where you come in. You are our chosen agents to go forth into the world and not only uphold the tenants and values of the Blood Knives, but also to conquer other gangs like us. Or put them down. We seek nothing less than to be the sole criminal organization in all Golarion, if not the very planes." He pauses to let that sink in and to allow you to respond.

Grats Castieen and thanks for everyone who RP'ed with us, it was a blast!

While we were all RPing there, I was reading everyone's backgrounds, especially Castieen's as we had that little scuffle. Cast, there's one thing I might consider changing for your character. From your backstory, I get the feeling like your Jack the Ripper meets Spartacus, your a cool collected killer that can go crazy and murder a lot of people at the same time, but your alignment says your Chaotic Neutral. Would you consider downshifting it to one of the evils? maybe come join me and Ragar at NE?

As for everyone else, not sure if anyone was noticing, but Natalia was acting that she knew of everyone else in some manner. The way I justify this is that in the mob movies, even though certain people haven't met, everyone knows who Vinny the Snake or Boris the Bullet Dodger is. So you guys can assume the same of Natalia, you do know of her and you have heard stories. She's the cold middle aged russian lady that everyone is a little uncomfortable around. If anyone has seen the anime Black Lagoon, then they know the character concept I'm trying to achieve.

And to Voice, I will try to post as much as I can this weekend, but I will be pretty busy so I may be lacking my usual 10+ posts a day. I'm Canadian and tomorrow is our countries b-day.

While I don't think Al is right for this party I think he would make a fine NPC or even enemy eventually. Feel free to take him or just build your own dread they're super fun.

Under my character creation rules, I had listed several skills that one could choose as a bonus class skill. I realize a few of you probably already have all of the ones listed as class skills. Therefore, if you are of a class that grants them all thusly, you may instead gain a +1 bonus to one of those skills.

I initially had bluff as that, but seeing as he's much better at intimidating, i made a last second change to sleight of hand, as long as you don't mind.

As a rogue, I did indeed have every skill you listed as a class skill. I'm glad to see you decided to change your mind. Another +1 to Stealth for me!

actually I'm wrong, looking at my hero lab, I took my social trait for bluff and took my extra class skill as diplomacy

Ragar took stealth as well.

I need to find a way to take a level of Eidolon so I can get that delicious +8 racial bonus to a single skill of my choice...Also if I could find some way of getting extra skill ranks so I can bump up Stealthy and Skill Focus faster...argh! +26 at level 3 is not enough! I must be as invisible as invisible without actually casting it! (And then stacking with it).

Anyone got any suggestions for how I can get my Stealth bonus up to +40?

you want it to be natural right? no potions or anything?

I'm an arcane trickster. I'm going wizard 3 right now, and then I'll be going into the prestige class, so I'll have plenty of spell slots reserved for invisibility and greater invisibility.

And yeah, sorry Ragar. I shouldn't be trying to break the game. +26 at level 3 is already pretty impressive (though I did burn two feats on being that impressive).

One of the reason's I don't play or GM in many homebrews. I've had some bad experiences in my many years of roleplaying and now I feel that I need the rules for protectiong. Had evil GM's

Absolutely not serious. There are plenty of ways within the rules to deal with a high stealth without resorting to cheating.

Just to keep things clear,

Bonus Skill: Natalia=Diplomacy, Darkstalker=Stealth, Ragar=Stealth, Castieen=Sleight of Hand.

Waiting on Rupert(if he follows through with the ritual) and Kyrani.

Optimization is fun and all, and the broken builds are fun thought experiments, but it seems they're never all that much fun to play, and having to build them over the course of the game always seemed to damage my own personal sense of verisimilitude. Don't let my sensibilities stop you, I'm just merely adding my own thoughts to the discussion.

EDIT: The address to the hosts was either a request for permission to refrain from the ritual or an invitation to command his participation. As for extra skill, I'll decide and edit that in momentarily.

EDIT 2: Wow, the Excel sheet I used to generate a stat block is...not very good. My stat block is actually kind of disgusting. It appears that some skills repeat, and Bluff isn't even listed, which seems odd. I need to clean that up quite a bit. I'll put the extra point into Bluff. Reading everybody else's stat blocks, it appears that there's rather a lot of overlap. Just an observation.

I find optimization is best for PFS, the restricted rules are there to make sure nothing is too broken, and it's less about roleplaying and more about rollplaying

In the crunch of the character sheet it says "Modifiers Sociable, +1 Sleight of hand GM bonus"
