I've got nothing..apart from the two scrolls I can use on him if I get the chance and his will save is probably as horrendous the rest off him.
That means I have little to no chance of affecting this combat..and with his high AC fast healing and other powers we are completely outmatched.
Off course if we had been on track level wise we might have stood a chance but we have been nerfed at every turn by our uber stingy DM

Actually Thon one PC's choice brought it on..and you could have just had Arkminos leave..and we are suppossed to finish the dungeon crawl at 7th level.
Lets look at our opponent again
He has
High AC
Electrical resistance
Fast healing..
We cant do enough damage a round to keep him hurting badly enough to capitalise on it.
All he has to do is wear us down and if we do get him down far enough gaseous form out and heal again.

Wellard,
Heather is mis-remembering a few things.
1. The lightning bolts did the majority of the party's damage, maybe his resistance isn't everything you think it is. He was laughing off Istas' channels, mostly cause she rolled poorly.
2. He didn't gaseous form out. Badly hurt -- Flash, pop, smoke and he was gone. (Probably some kind of spell trigger item.) You guys chased him off due to damage inflicted.
I submit that you haven't really finished the crawl yet.
I will be happy to discuss other points after this combat is over.

So here's the deal.
You are indeed strong. Everyone level up. Complete recharge on spells, etc. to your new level. Heal all hp damage, remove any ability damage. Add 2 to the ability score of your choice.
And get ready for the twist yet to come.
This is no holy hand grenade. It won't fight the battle for you, but it is one heck of a logistics system.

I've been planning this for a long time. It didn't go down quite the way I'd figured. I had thought you would tackle Ramoska before the leukodaemon room and Lady A. Jeorik was still with the party and flirting with paladin and Istas is Istas. Brutal combat seemed inevitable and I really thought RA would hurt you bad, so I figured I needed an ace in the hole. That's when I statted up this gadget and then planted it with Istas.
You cleverly delayed the battle with RA. And then I wasn't sure whether to scale it back or not, but it is what it is and I described it as originally written, except you didn't need the raise recently dead feature.
You won't see another of these from me. It's pretty much a one off.

Well that was disappointing and anticlimactic, to say the least.
Are we still under the affects of Heroes' Feast?
Heroes' Feast lasts 12 hours. You've a ton of time left.
Anticlimatic, maybe. Like I said, I built the item figuring you'd be pushed into a combat that was over your head, Istas and Jeorik being what they were way back then. And having set its parameters, I didn't change them for my own convenience. It was what it was.
Of course you still have to beat Ramoska.

Bill, it applies to all levels.
You may change your spell selection now, or, if you would like, I'll scout the next two segments to confirm my memory.
If Heather was a wizard, I wouldn't care, but sorcerer spell selection is tricky and has such long lasting ramifications.

Thom, if Istas goes up a level (i.e., to 7th), that means she gains access to 4th level spells. But, she hasn't prepared any. So, I assume those spell slots are empty? Or, should I pick something to suddenly become available to her in the course of the battle as her originally prepared spells refresh?
| Neil Spicer RPG Superstar 2009, Contributor |

I'll fill the new slots with lower level spells. I think that makes more sense...except for the domain spell. I assume her daily uses of channeling positive energy replenish as well?
I'll bump her Wisdom by 2, take Improved Channel for her feat, 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 additional hit points, and prepare her two open spell slots with searing light (x2) and her domain spell slot with divination.

Understood. And I do realize Ramoska has a potent Will save. Nevertheless, I'm guaranteed to always do half damage. And a 4d6 attack even at half damage is more potent at the moment. It also helps knock back his fast healing and doesn't run the risk of missing his high AC. As long as everyone else chips in, we'll wear him down round by round. And, perhaps more importantly for this round, I wanted to make sure all the zombies were taken down so there'd be no further impediments to surrounding the nosferatu. Next round, he gets Istas' sole attention. :->

So you kill a vampire and it goes gaseous and you chase it down and kill it in its coffin. You don't attack the gas cloud. (At least my other groups never have.)
The nosferatu reverts to swarm form which presents a viable target. While the nosferatu is "unlive" if it goes to swarm form you can target it. Is the swarm suddenly invulnerable because the nosferatu is below zero hit points? What do you guys think?

It works the same as a vampire. Here's the relevant text from a nosferatu's fast healing defensive ability:
Fast healing 5. If reduced to 0 hit points in combat, a nosferatu assumes swarm form...and attempts to escape. Additional damage dealt to a nosferatu forced into swarm form has no effect. Once at rest, the nosferatu is helpless. It regains 1 hit point after 1 hour, then is no longer helpless and resumes healing at the rate of 5 hit points per round.
So, we need to follow the swarm just like most heroes follow after a vampire in gaseous form. The write-up for a vampire says it must reach its coffin within 2 hours if forced into gaseous form. Otherwise, it is utterly destroyed. I'd assume the same thing happens to a nosferatu. So, if Ramoska can't reach his coffin in 2 hours while in swarm form, he permanently dies. If we can follow him and discover him in his coffin before he's had 1 hour to recover, we can slay him while he's incapacitated. After 1 hour, he'll recover 1 hit point and resume his fast healing.

You read my spoiler to you above?
What alternate favored class feature?
The one I have been using for thelast three levels that gives me an extra spell at least one level below the maximum level I can cast..instead of the 1hp or 1sp a level it is written on my character profile..and has been there since we levelled up to fifth a year ago.
Dont worry Thom I get to change my spell selection at 8th and 10th levels anyway..
and yeh a smart Nosferatu always has a decoy coffin and the real one well hidden

hit points 1d8 ⇒ 2
edit: 2? 2?!? grrrrr. . . .
Okay, gentlemen, give me your opinions. Should I add +2 to dexterity, bumping Keliwyn to 20, for all the benefits that confers (except to AC, chain shirt has a max dex benefit of +4), or should I add +2 to constitution to get some badly needed hp? thoughts?

And Ramoska Arkminos is a very smart nosferatu. He is a wizard after all.

Things are hopping on my end, as well. Trying to tie off the last 1500 words of my current Paizo assignment. Hope to have that done this evening. After that comes Project: OMG!...provided my wife gives me the green light to say yes to it. If so, it'll become the longest writing assignment (both in word count and time committment) I've ever attempted. So...yeah. Things could get busy really quickly.
