Iraedra Myval |
" as the dimmer didn't give us much useful information." Iraedra clears her throat " is the powder magical or alcemical, how is it triggered, are there ways to render it inactive, or to destroy it without triggering it, how much of it exists here, what kind of enemies are we likely to encounter, how do we receive our payment when we are finished " the Drider girl takes a deep breath and continues "do you know the supplier of the powder, what is the relation between amount of powder and effect size, how does the powder look like, are there any other factors affecting our payment on success other than bringing a sample, is there anything other of interest in the warehouse, is there anything else that you can tell me about the powder or the warehouse?"
Animated Puppet |
The puppet takes in your questions for a second. He rattles and lifts an arm.
the powder is black, powered alchemy from the far east. Water renders it temporary useless, yet it may still activate. It is activated by fire, or considerable momentum, such as that from a blunt arrow. There is a whole ships worth here. The more powder, the more powerful the effect. Every quart is a 5ft blast. The amount here can level this building and cause considerable damage to the nearby buildings, which is why we emptied them. We do not know what the powder is made from, nor how to make it.
The puppet sputters for a second before continuing.
there are several clockwork soldiers inside. There is also 5 men put in charge of winding up the soldiers. They have a lower hall, guarded by something that destroys our puppet scouts. We assume it is an animal or similar beast.
The puppet holds out its hands, in which are two vials.
these are vials of Greek flame. Do not drink them or open them too close to the powder. These alone will destroy the building without aid from the powder. But the construct will remain.
Sabrina De'Foe |
and I will ask this yet one more time, Sabrina adds starting to sound a little annoyed. what is so important about this powder and who has control of it now. and who wants it destroyed.
basically, who controls this powder now and for what purpose, why must it be destroyed, and who are you, who do you serve, what is your connection to this powder.
.Sunset. |
She leans casually against the corner she has chosen and keeps a look out at the passing traffic, pedestrian or otherwise.
Bluff:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20 (Just a casual bystander, taking in the sights... Nothing worth noting here...)
Perception:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Animated Puppet |
The puppet rattles at your questions. my master wants the powder destroyed. The theives have this powder, but it has an outrageous price. We need a sample. I am a puppet. My master is he who pulls all strings, the puppet maker.
It motions at small hooks on its limbs, hooks that would have held strings on a normal puppet.
as for why... The theives are planning to assault the lords castle, they intended to blow the west side apart, removing the town guard who sleep there. This will allow them more freedom.
the docks are clear. Down the walk you spot another puppet, sulking in the shadows. As well as another the other direction. The two guards in front of the warehouse are holding almost dead still.
You otherwise see nothing of interest.
.Sunset. |
"The guards at the warehouse door are remaining at their post. We should seek a secluded way inside." She tells her compatriot.
Seeing nothing dangerous to the group Sunset slinks back to where they are receiving information from their contact.
"There are two guards on the front doors. Perhaps we should seek a different entrance?" She says quietly to those lurking. Then she looks up.
"Who can climb? Perhaps fly?"" She asks.
.Sunset. |
Sunset smiles encouragingly to/at Iraedra, "Well.. perhaps we can see how well you manage it?" She looks to the others...
"I am with out rope or such.... there was no much call for such back at the temple. How might we follow our good friend?" She asks.
Animated Puppet |
The puppet moves to follow you. I am to follow it says,
The puppet then twist its hand and a grapple hook appears
It throws the grappling hook to the roof, where it latches to the gutter.
Sabrina De'Foe |
Sabrina takes her stuff from Sunset, she is clearly not pleased with this situation.
she slings the bag over her back and covers with her cloak. to make things easier.
As the other make preparations, Sabrina moves to a corner so she can keep an eye on the guards by the door.
Strigh |
how do i link a doc non pdf to here? I noticed my gear and such did not come through when i originally set my toon up and would like to correct that.
I walk over and test the rope making sure it feels secure and then climb after sliding my "knapsack" into and through the back of my vest and sash to secure it.
climb: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (1) + 0 = 1
Xathrid Vosh |
Xathrid waits for the others to climb up the rope, he presses against the wall, hoping to be overlooked by the casual observer.
stealth take ten 10 + 3 = 13
"hurry up, he hisses through his teeth...
I don't trust the puppets... I thought that puppet would stay behind and we would do the work
.Sunset. |
Sunset waits patiently guarding the rear and waiting till enough comrades have scaled the heights to help assist her ascent.
Note that a roe and only a little pulling will give Sunset the edge she needs to easily 'Take ten' at climbing the warehouse walls. :)
Sabrina De'Foe |
Sabrina ascends last making sure everyone was safe. she still is not too happy with the situation and hopes to find out more inside.
taking ten on climb will give her an 11
.Sunset. |
Once upon the rood, Sunset looks over the terrain thoughtfully.
Perception:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
Before turning and giving Sabrina a hand up, (Help pull on the rope to haul her to the top, kind of thing) (Aiding another should net Sabrina another +2, making her climb at least safe. (^_^)
