@Dieredon - yep, it's -20 so I'll modify that in. Waiting for Rianna till tonight.

Sczarni

My apologies, am sick and haven't been checking the internet lately.

Rianna casts daze on Axeman 1 and then drops prone hoping to gain some cover from the crossbowman from behind the log.

daze = Will DC 14

The crossbowman (AC4) manages a look of surprise as his neck seemingly sprouts an arrow shaft. He collapses, gurgling. @Dieredon. With a cumulative -4 to stealth roll, you're visible to all.

Rianna, Axeman 1 is already down. Changing your target to Guardsman 4. Will save 1d20 ⇒ 8 Fail!.

As the clubman (AJ9) raises his club to strike, Rianna's spell brings a blank stare as tries to remember some forgotten errand.

Clubmen

G6 moves to AK10 and flanks Skane before attacking.
G6 attack Skane 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 3 + 2 = 12
The hit bounces off Skane's armoured coat, ineffective.

G1 stays put as he too flank attacks Skane.
G1 attack Skane 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 3 + 2 = 15
Skane manages to block the drive with his shield effectively.

G7 spots the skulking elf and he closes to engage.
G7 moves to AI0 and attacks Dieredon. 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
damage 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Dieredon catches the blow full on as it it knocks the breath out of him.

Axeman

The lone axeman charges up to Bjorn hoping to end his sorry life.
Charges to AJ10. Attacks Bjorn 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 2 = 7
But he fumbles and misses entirely.

Skane to act. Bjorn to choose target of attack. ===MAP===

His beard now streaked with crimson Skane continues to use his shield to great effect despite the biting pain in his axe shoulder still fighting defensively

Snarling at his now two opponents he presses forth an attack on his original opponent (Guardsman 1) ; O' veikburða suður- froða! Við stríðsmaður Norður- það að vera sonur vilja sýning þú rauður dauði í öxi eða orf!:

Battle Axe: 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (14) + 5 - 4 = 15

Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Bjorn:

O' veikburða suður- froða! Við stríðsmaður Norður- það að vera sonur vilja sýning þú rauður dauði í öxi eða orf! = O' weak southern chattel! We brave Northern sons will show you red death in axe or scythe!

Rianna:

Surrounded by enemies, Bjorn lets out a roar in thanks and honor of the ursine spirits, to whom he has pledged himself, for the bounty they are providing unto him.

His basso voice rumbles out a joyful warsong, the sound of his scythe slicing the air as he swings towards an injured foe keeping musical accompaniment to his exuberant praise.

'Langt burt a kyndill var lit og nú það hefur til a á af logi

Svo mjög kuldi ert þessir slóð af norður þessi við munu herganga söngur áfram

Óttalaus við þjóta á þinn blað, Þangað til dauði eða sigur og frægð

Scythe attack on a wounded opponent in reach: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Damage: 2d4 + 6 ⇒ (3, 3) + 6 = 12

Skane:

Langt burt a kyndill var lit og nú það hefur til a á af logi = Afar the torch was lit and now it has grown to a river of flames,

Svo mjög kuldi ert þessir slóð af norður þessi við munu herganga söngur áfram = So very cold are these trails of north that we shall march singing forth

Rianna:

Langt burt a kyndill var lit og nú það hefur til a á af logi = Far drive away a flambeau var lit and today there hast to a river with flame

Bjorn:
I'll use the previous roll made instead. This attack will make you unconscious the next turn though, due to being disabled.

Skane directs his attack on his previous attacker, who anticipated this attack and easily avoids it.

Bjorn scythe bites easily into the dazed clubman, leaving just barely standing, shaken out from his reverie. Bjorn crumbles down, exerted from his grievious wounds.

Round 16 ===M A P===

Leader moves to AE14, attacks Rianna
attack 1d20 + 6 - 4 - 4 ⇒ (5) + 6 - 4 - 4 = 3 prone, in melee
The leader moves and fire an arrow in a fluid motion, however misses as he overshoots the prone gypsy.

G3 loads calmly and sights Skane through the melee.
attack 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (12) + 5 - 4 = 13 in melee, defensive fighting
Again the riddled shield catches a bolt meant for Skane's hairy hide.

G5 spots the prone gypsy and shoots after a moment reloading.
attack 1d20 + 5 - 4 - 4 ⇒ (3) + 5 - 4 - 4 = 0 prone, in melee
Rianna though prone almost gets hit by bolt in her rump, being the most exposed area of her body.

@Dieredon luckily a cleric brewed that potion...;)

Wesh moves with a 5 foot step to An1 and casts a blessign of Desna to make the warriors hit in battle as tstrligh slowly giudes the weapons into hitting. Wesh then drops his crossbow and get out his morning star to cahrge on the next round.

@GM: Seriously - Go Pharasma!!! Now we just need the dice roller to continue to be kind in melee so we can survive this encounter! Love the challenge though...;-)

@DM: Just realised that I'd meant to also have Skane take a 5 foot step at the end of the round to AM9. Realise this is a little late, if it can be retconned great, if not I'll take my lumps as they come this round. Cheers

@Skane, sure.

Do that voodoo that you do, Rianna!

Sczarni

Rianna in all her wisdom notices that Bjorn is down and Skane is not far behind. She begins to sing. Trying to take up the song of the Northman. Hoping to keep the clubmen from noticing Skane. You guys will have to help me with the words as I don't really know the song you were singing.

Rianna is trying to use her "Disappearing Act", Bardic ability. This allows her to try to make all foes within 30' treat any one ally as if he were invisible. Will save, DC 14. If this works, all foes within 30' of Rianna will treat Skane as if he went invisible. Of course it also means that Rianna might not live to see if it worked. ;)

Dieredon steps back and chugs down a potion, revitalizing him.

Wesh calls down the favor of the goddess, before steeling himself for melee.

Rianna sings prone, diverting attention to herself with the act.
How effective it is remains to be seen..

DM Saves:
Saves: 1d20 ⇒ 191d20 ⇒ 141d20 ⇒ 141d20 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1.

Clubmen

One of the clubmen decides he's had enough and withdraws, only to collapse at the end of his weary retreat.

G1 and G6 partner up, trying to surround Skane and ignoring Rianna.

G1 5ft step AN9, attacks Skane.
attack 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 3 + 2 = 20
His battered shield holding up, it deflects another well aimed strike.

G6 5ft step AL9, attacks Skane
attack 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 3 + 2 = 20
Working overtime, Skane counters each strke with a whirl of his shield.

Axeman charges Rianna, AL10
attack 1d20 + 2 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 2 + 4 + 4 = 17 charge,prone
Oblivious to Skane's presence, the axeman bellows and charges towards the prone gypsy. His greataxe sickeningly bites a chunk out of her.
damage 1d12 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14

Brambleknight and Skane to act. Don't forget the bless.

Hearing his brother's battle hymn, a battered and bloody Skane smiles a wild grin and takes up the song:

Forgoing his defensive stance he bellows the words loudly, spraying blood and spit as he does:

DM:

Skane chops at the passing axeman charging Rianna

The Brambleknight charges out of the darkness, lance trained. However the crossbowmen dodges as the last moment.

Skane emerges from behind his shield and strikes out with his axe, hitting air as the clubman moves out of the way.

Dieredon repays the clubman in full as he shifts, draws and strikes him in fluid motion. Weakened by the previous grenade attack, the clubman falls, breathing heavily.

Wesh unhesitatingly charges and strikes two handed with his morningstar, missing his intended target.

G1 shifts to AO8 and continues attempts to pummel Skane into submission.
attack 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Surely Skane's armor deserves a thorough cleaning as it disperses the impact of the clubman's blow without due harm.

G6 stays in his position as he turns his attention to Wesh and swings his club in a measured strike.
attack 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Caught out of position after the charge, the greatclub grazes Wesh.

Thistledown does his best to engage and distract the bandit. Surprising agile on the lunging wolf, Betony pulls her axe free and swings a good downward blow.

Bruised and bleeding Skane is renewed by the arrival of his fellow guardsmen; Hagl vinur prestur! Velkominn til stríð veisla!

With a grim smile he hunkers back behind his battered shield; kissing its chipped edge and launches a vicious backhand swipe at the axeman who felled Rianna:

The light of the brazier highlights bodies lying everywhere. Moaning and deep breathing could be heard from the fallen as the sound of battle continues on.

Skane's cautious style of battle finally pays dividends as the body count rises around him. His axe tastes blood the second time as it lays open a ghastly wound. Looking almost as battered as his opponent, the axeman continues the fight.

The combined team effort of fey and wolf brings tthe opposition down and the Brambleknight forges ahead to engage her next target. Startled, the crossbowman draws his short sword and prepares to defend himself. He opens up with a backhanded slash, but this is easily dodged by the knight and her mount.

Rianna continues to lie still, her body now no longer bleeding.

Wesh's calls forth a burst a wave of energy which washes over the battlefield. For some it soothes the pain of battle ready to begin anew.

His attack spectacularly fails though as he fumbles his grip.
