@Skane, sure go ahead.

Regarding hp, take the best of average or roll.

Cheers.

HP: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 LOL dammit. So that'll be the average then :)

Skane's HP: 7

Will implement the new trait and feat [means some lucky party member could benefit from a +4 AC bonus for 1 round 1/day - by combining the trait & feat]

Stay close people... :)

Male Elf Slayer /2/AC:19, T: 14, FF:15/HP:22/22/F:3, R:7, W:1/Init:+6/Perc:+8

I hear ya - I went with the two-handed weapon build this level. So, either Bjorn or me will likely be right by your side!

You combine that with Weapon: Finesse at 3rd and Dieredon will be plain nasty in melee...

Male Elf Slayer /2/AC:19, T: 14, FF:15/HP:22/22/F:3, R:7, W:1/Init:+6/Perc:+8

Already have Weapon Finesse! Took Power Attack this level as a combat feat!

My bad! Man that's a nasty combo w/ the curveblade! And here's me thinking Skane was looking tasty lol.

Male Elf Slayer /2/AC:19, T: 14, FF:15/HP:22/22/F:3, R:7, W:1/Init:+6/Perc:+8

Yeah, my weak spot is AC, but your build will definitely help with that. I have not heard anything from Bjorn in this game or the Iobarian Saga - Is he still active? i thought for sure that Dieredon's recent comments towards him would elicit some hearty response. :-)

Drayen has been pretty quiet. Hope all is good - will possibly PM him later to check.

Male Elf Slayer /2/AC:19, T: 14, FF:15/HP:22/22/F:3, R:7, W:1/Init:+6/Perc:+8

Me too...I know our PCs do not necessarily get along in Randall's PbP, but I think he is a great player, and I am looking forward to a new sort of interraction in yours. Let me know if you hear anything.

male Human (Varisian) cleric 2

Yeah Bjorn is an interesting character.

Hey all. Sorry for the prolonged absence. I moved last Friday and then promptly got sick. I didn't have Internet access at home (and none of my neighbors were nice enough to leave me an unsecured wireless network). The cable company finally came out today to install the cable modem at home just in time for me to return to work. I'll get to posting as soon as I can tonight.

Honestly I think we're all interesting - Wesh and Bramble have particular depths; Bramble as she's just a damn cool character and Wesh because there's so much more to get from him... kindof enigmatic lol.

Skane I just play as a straight up Northman fighter, so he's pretty shallow lol, hoping we have some further adventures after 3 Days...

Bizarrely seem to have been unable to say Brambleknight above... mmm.

Anyhoo - a jetty and boat in game... looks tempting... I do think we need to explore some sidequest opps to get the rest of the group up to 2nd level before we hit the mansion.

Perhaps a river-reccy by some of the party?

Okay much as it goes against the grain we need to take at least one of the pail boys alive.

They can potentially give us a ton of info regards set up and draw a rudimentary map??

Male Elf Slayer /2/AC:19, T: 14, FF:15/HP:22/22/F:3, R:7, W:1/Init:+6/Perc:+8

I agree...

male Human (Varisian) cleric 2

Makes a lot of sense.

Oh and putting 2 and 2 together and getting 3, these creepy cult folk the pail boys are carrying... Sect of Sixty was it? Knew those wickerman types were wrong un's... :)

Who was it who had the most contact with them again?

So how we doing this, spell? grapple?? Skane could try an intimidate @ +6???

Looks likely that the Northern Bear will scrag one [prepped attack an all] but that'll leave one lucky slopper to sing for us...

male Human (Varisian) cleric 2

I do have a command spell prepared. I could order them to drop there weapons and then someone could grapple them.

Not sure they have weapons handy Wesh, although I'm not for tackling anyone with a pole of privvy pails at their disposal lol.

Commanding one to Drop! or Silence! might work... Rianna any advances on your duping them?

Drop would work.

Cheliax

Guys, I am just hammered at work. I am going to have to take a back seat for now. If I need to be replaced, I understand.

As I mentioned in my own game thread Drayen sorry your snowed under.

Want me to run Bjorn in your stead if its short-term?

Been itching to bring back the valkyrie lol...

male Human (Varisian) cleric 2

Sorry for not remembering to tell you just got back from a camping trip. I wasn't here to get the intitive roll. Quarter in college is aobut to start agian.

male Human (Varisian) cleric 2

Time to level up Wesh but need a nights rest before so time to add hp roll.

1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
putting favored class in linguistics to pick up skald as a langauge.
One more skill rank in sense motive heal and knowledge religion.

Female Gnome Cavalier 2; Knight of the Shield

That was a great use of 'Indifferent Cop, Bad Cop'. :P

Betony HP -> 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

Will update her sheet tonight.

Betony Avilia wrote:

I thank thee. Was fun, gods only know how nasty they'd get under my sole control...

Damn hp rolling is impressive - here's me thinking Skane was supposed to be the tough one - Wesh and Bethony are pretty nails!

@Wesh - wise man, those who speak with the cold voice of the North are marked for great things... :)

male Human (Varisian) cleric 2

Hmm when will I get my new stats for the next level.

Also new campaign features made in tabs.

Level up takes place after you first rest.

Okay tactics folks...

My initial gut reaction was a stealth team getting in ninja style and a brute squad to smash in, attract attention? They meet in the middle...

BUT splitting the group against a bandit leader, some cultists [one of whom will probably havic magicks] may be too risky.

As/when the action goes down, should there be two "groups" or we get split up - Bethony will be key as a fast and mobile fighter who can support individuals and groups very quickly.

Skane can take a licking, fight defensively and protect others with his shield abilities... shoulder to shoulder with Bjorn or Dieredon [using the curveblade] that combo could be nasty. His high AC, decent HP and defensive fighting means Skane can probably suck it up for a while should we tackle anything nasty [Bandit leader/cultists etc]

Male Elf Slayer /2/AC:19, T: 14, FF:15/HP:22/22/F:3, R:7, W:1/Init:+6/Perc:+8

I agree. Maybe we put everyone in position as close to the front as we can get, and I start by trying to take out a few from range, then we bust in. If we want to split, my stealth abilities and movement should lend itself well to getting inside, but I agree that this is highly risky - splitting the group.

male Human (Varisian) cleric 2

I agree splitting the group is risky.

Randall and Co

I'm currently running Bjornhildr ;) in Drayen's absence but also realise that she's not levelled up...

I've emailed Drayen about this and his status - hoping he'd be back with us at this impending climax, but am doubley wary:

Would rather not level Bjorn up in Drayen's stead as The Great North Bear is his character (while I know he'd trust me to do the big gal justice... its a principle thing!)

Would rather we had a 2nd level druid going into this stage than a 1st level one... [extra hp, skills, spells and some nifty bear totem abilities...] could be a difference maker?

Thoughts? Particularly from Randall would be welcome here before we're knee deep in things!

male Human (Varisian) cleric 2

What choices do you have to make with the level 2 druid. Maybe if he wants to change things let him rebuild the level 2 character when he returns?

Male Elf Slayer /2/AC:19, T: 14, FF:15/HP:22/22/F:3, R:7, W:1/Init:+6/Perc:+8

I agree with Wesh...just level the PC, and if Bjorn wants to change when he returns, then he should be permitted to do so. Just my 2 cents.

About to enter the climax of the story, I think the team needs all the help it needs. I wouldn't mind if Bjorn returns and requests for a character rebuild once you've taken his char to level 2.

I think I would take in a new pc later on the party's return to Deeptown.
If Bjorn doesn't return by then, maybe he'll chill out, spending his loot if he survives, drinking it off at Deeptown's taverns.

Now, since Bjorn and Rianna are related, I'll give her the option of what to do with her character, regarding this scenario.

At level 3, I would give the option to those interested to take on hirelings, what do you think?

I hope you don't get yourselves killed.

Female Gnome Cavalier 2; Knight of the Shield

Ohhhh hirelings, a doggie groomer would be nice....and a gnomie groomer too.

Male Elf Slayer /2/AC:19, T: 14, FF:15/HP:22/22/F:3, R:7, W:1/Init:+6/Perc:+8

Sure - I would not mind a protege of sorts, like a valet.

male Human (Varisian) cleric 2

HAving a chef might be nice.

It's optional after all. Seeing the group beginning to establish themselves should attract people for a piece of the action. Not to mention a more welcoming environment for other support pcs to join in.

Skull-cup buffer would be sweet, and some bond thralls...

Har! Wesh wants a chef, the Bramble a groomer and Dieredon a valet... that's why I love this group so much!

Okay I'll get Bjornhildr up to second using Bjorn as a template, that way Drayen can change him back to his vision once he's back...

Okay almost have Bjornhildr up and running at her new level...

Need to roll for HP and double check all my math!

1d8 ⇒ 8 Sweet! Think Drayen will keep that :)

Cheliax

Hey all! Sorry for the absence (and doubly sorry for not responding to the e-mail.. yet). Work is still hectic. I have also taken on some additional quasi-real world responsibilities. I hate to leave this game, but I think it's best for the group that you find another player. Thank you all so much for the great role playing. I know that this experience is going to show in my future games.

Male Elf Slayer /2/AC:19, T: 14, FF:15/HP:22/22/F:3, R:7, W:1/Init:+6/Perc:+8

Drayen: You will be missed...who am I going to get into good-natured banter nd, even after I went as far as to learn your language! LOL! Good luck in the RL endeavors!

Ditto on that sentiment Drayen.

Am hugely saddened to see you go, but know that RL has got to take precident. Truly hope to play with you again someday and a massive thanks for making the group, game and Skane better.

Good luck man and keep in touch nei?

Oh and just remember:

'Lo, there do I see...
The line of my people...
Back to the beginning.

'Lo, they do call to me.
They bid me take my place among them...

Just remember where we are should you hear the call again :)

Its been a pleasure my skjöldur bróðir.

male Human (Varisian) cleric 2

Yes Drayden will really be missed.

Thanks for playing drayen. Hairy Bjorn would be missed.

For game purposes we'll let his shield brother guide him before he parts ways back at Deeptown. There he'll spend his newly gotten loot drinking his days.

I'll opening up recruitment for 2 new pcs soon. What class do you guys need currently?

BTW, Rianna. I'd like to hear your ideas on Rianna's actions after Bjorn leaves the group.

An arcane spellcaster to compliment Rianna [if she doesn't elope with Bjorn lol] and either another scrapper or skills monkey...

My 2 runes worth

Male Elf Slayer /2/AC:19, T: 14, FF:15/HP:22/22/F:3, R:7, W:1/Init:+6/Perc:+8

Arcane caster!

male Human (Varisian) cleric 2

A lot fo these eneimes seem to have low will saves.

A magus might be nice. I think we were restricted to 3/4 to full bab only though.
