imimrtl's Drow War Campaign Play by Post

Game Master imimrtl

So I have been playing in a few games and gotten the bug to run one. I ran this campaign a few years ago and it was an absolute blast. I am updating it to Pathfinder and looking for 3 people as I already have two spots filled.

Character creation rules:

25 point buy

Core Races and Classes + APG + Ultimate Magic + Ultimate Combat Playtest

2 traits

Set in the world of Ashfar - good Ashfar wiki

We are using the gods from Ashfar - I will add domains where needed to update for pathfinder. If there is a god you like let me know and I will update the domains.

Everyone must pick a patron star from the following list which comes with a corresponding birthmark in the vague shape of the patron star:

Patron Star:
The Benefits Of The Signs
One (and only one) of the benefits of a given
sign can be invoked once per out of game week. As the benefit is
a manifestation of fate, it takes the form of a luck bonus to the
stated check. A result of ‘automatic success’ gives the minimum
result necessary to indicate success, no more. The ability can
only be used when the skill check DC is 20 or less.

1. The Great Wolf
A wolf’s head bares its teeth, with a single star forming the
gleam in its eye. The wolf represents the threat of starvation
during the cold, dark months of winter, but is also a positive
sign, as he devours the old year and its woes.
Those born under the wolf’s sign are usually practical, down-toearth
people, with a tendency to be harsh, having contempt for
the soft and weak. They are fiercely protective of their few true
friends and allies.
Benefit: +1 luck bonus to any single attack roll or +1d4 additional
damage to any damage roll.
2. The Unicorn
The unicorn’s star-tipped horn, reminiscent of the icicles of
winter, breaks the horizon as the snowdrops break the cold earth.
It is as cold, bright and pure as the ice but brings the promise of
renewed life.
People born under the unicorn are enthusiastic, keen and direct.
They can become obsessive; when they want something, they
stop at nothing to get it. They detest circumlocution and petty
debate when there is action to be taken.
Benefit: +2 luck bonus to Armour Class for one round or +10 ft.
increase to movement speed for 1d4 rounds.
3. The Delver
The earth has now softened after the winter frosts. The symbol
of a man (or, as some say, a dwarf) digging the ground represents
the sowing time, when the farmers plant seeds in the soil. A star
gleams at the tip of his shovel.
Those born under this sign are often curious, inquisitive people,
with a desire to look below the surface and find out the secrets
of others.
Benefit: +2 luck bonus to a single Fortitude saving throw or
automatic success on a single Strength-based skill check.
4. The Wave
Heavy rains and floodwaters follow the full thaws of spring.
The Wave is the symbol of the rushing waters and signals the
beginning of the season of safe sea voyaging.
Those born under the Wave tend to be graceful, empathic people,
though like the waters they can be deceptive and shallow.
Benefit: +2 luck bonus to a single Reflex saving throw or
automatic success on a single Charisma-based skill check.
5. The Satyr
With spring in full bloom, the blood runs hot in man and beast
alike. The Satyr is the sign of animal energy, fully restored to
life. This is an exultant sign, representing joy in one’s own
strength and the freedom to exercise it.
Those who have the Satyr as their birthsign enjoy life to the full.
They can sometimes annoy people by taking nothing seriously,
treating life as one big joke. When they are in the mood to be
cruel, they can be viciously sadistic in the name of their own
fun.
Benefit: +2 luck bonus to a single Will saving throw or temporary
hit points (+1 per character level) lasting 5 rounds.
6. The Rose
The Rose is the beauty of the blossoming earth made manifest
in the heavens, though its thorns also symbolise treachery and
cruelty for its own sake.
The people of the Rose are often physically attractive and able to
manipulate those around them by subtle cues. They make good
leaders, whether of heroes or villains.
Benefit: +3 luck bonus to any single Initiative check or automatic
increase in Non-Player Character reaction by one stage upon
initial contact (see the Diplomacy skill).
7. The Firedrake
A firedrake is the old name for a dragon, specifically one
who breathes flame. This sign symbolises the searing heat of
summer. It also calls to mind the dim memory of the time when
Ibon Presno Gonzalez (order #35881) 83.213.56.127
22
dragons would visit the towns of men to receive tribute; this
would always be in the seventh month, as the herds and crops
were at their fullest then, allowing for the greatest plunder.
Those born Firedrakes are difficult to read; they conceal deep
thoughts behind placid faces and can smoulder with resentment
for years before taking action. They are usually rational and
calm, though they can break into furious fits of passion when
provoked or stirred.
Benefit: +2 luck bonus to Armour Class for one round or +1
luck bonus to Armour Class for three rounds.
8. The Reaper
The Reaper appears at the end of summer, the figure of a tall
man with a sweeping scythe. He stands for hard work, the fruits
of labour and the reward (or punishment) that waits for you after
death. This is an auspicious sign to be born under, signifying the
power to conquer whatever lies before you.
Those born under the Reaper’s scythe are strong-willed,
sometimes to the point of bullheadedness. They do not give up
easily.
Benefit: +1 luck bonus to any single attack roll or +3 luck bonus
to a single critical check (made after a critical threat has already
been scored).
9. The Flail
The Flail is both the tool that threshes the barley and the weapon
of the same name. As the Flail rises in the sky, the earth beneath
is scourged by wind and rain. Summer is over and the hardships
of the darker months begin.
Those whose sign is the Flail are meticulous and focused.
They are very thorough in their investigations and tend to stick
doggedly to a task until it is achieved. They make excellent
researchers; many wizards are born under this sign.
Benefit: +2 luck bonus to a single Fortitude saving throw or
automatic success on a single Intelligence-based skill check.
10. The Spinner
The Spinner is one of the more mysterious signs: a huge spider,
with eight closely clustered stars for eyes. The common
interpretation is that the spider stores up food and weaves webs,
reflecting the work of stockpiling and cloth spinning that happens
at this time. Other interpretations see the spinner as the sign of
magic, weaving the web of fate and trapping the unsuspecting
with charms.
Spinners are patient people by nature, who enjoy making plans
and hatching plots. They can bide their time for a long while
before taking quick, decisive action.
Benefit: +2 luck bonus to a single Reflex saving throw or
automatic success on a single Wisdom-based skill check.
11. The Spectre
The eleventh month is often said to be of ill omen. The animals
are slaughtered on its first day, in the blood-harvest; by the end
of the month, the bitter cold of the season has usually claimed its
first victims. The sign of the Spectre is a grim reminder of death,
which also has its place in the order of things. It also recalls the
belief that the souls of the dead are believed to revisit the world
during this month, to make sure they have not been forgotten.
Those born under the sign of the Spectre seem to be older than
their true age, as if they were recalling some previous life.
Benefit: +2 luck bonus to a single Will saving throw or +2 luck
bonus to any skill check.
12. The Watchman
Sixteen stars form the shape of a man holding a lantern aloft.
His lantern is the brightest star in the sky, the symbol of hope
through the winter months.
Characters born under the Watchman make natural leaders.
They have a nigh-unshakable confidence in themselves, which
radiates to those around them. This leadership ability makes
them superb teachers, battle leaders or even criminal bosses.
Benefit: +2 luck bonus to any other character’s skill check or +1
luck bonus to any other character’s saving throw; the character
must be within line of sight.

You may not know any of the other characters in the game at the start but you must be the type of person that can work in a group.

You should be able to post daily with consistency (if something comes up thats fine but let us know if you will be unable to post for a few days)

I will accept character submissions until noon on Wednesday east coast US time. I will then pick three from the submissions. Thank you and happy gaming!

Would being familiar with the adventure in a general sense be a problem?

I bought the trilogy with the intent to run it as a DM for my group eventually, but i am tempted by the idea of pre-playing it as well. I can separate player and character knowledge easily.

Also my posting times tend to be late afternoons and during the evenings(EST for relevance), so if that would interfere with the flow you hope for, i'd understand as well.

If both of those are not a problem, i will come up with a character concept. When would you be looking to start by?

That's not a problem like you said if you could separate player and character knowledge. Posting time is not a problem either. I would like to start by the end of the week.

I've been thinking about a Mages / Rogue knife master. I'll put up something tonight.

Thanks for the quick reply.

In the interest of group teamwork, would it be possible to know what classes the other 2 members are already? (in vague general terms) (fighter type even if they are a barb, ranger, fighter etc)

They havent selected anything yet and will be posting up here when they do. As it is right now just post what you would like to play and we'll go from there.

Sounds like an interesting game. Good luck with the campaign!

I'd like to throw together something. I'm thinking two weapon fighter. I'll have the concept up in about an hour.

Slice will multiclass as a Rogue / Magus
Background (More to follow if chosen)

Spoiler:

Slice grew up in a normal middle class guild family in The Topaz Dominions. His father was a dealer in fine steel knives, blades and especially scissors and cutters for the silk industries. He was born Ka’RihnBodaki, but had been called Slice by everyone since he was 2-years old. He was busy playing on the floor in the kitchen, when his mother was called away by a friend to the front of the house. When she came back in the kitchen several minutes later, she was horrified, and amazed to find that young Ka’Rihn had somehow climbed up on the table, took her sharpest knife, and sliced several pears, and lemons into perfect 1/8” slices, without even nicking himself.
Throughout his youth he helped his father sharpen, and repair blades, and seemed to have a gift for not only caring for them, but using them. He was a prodigy at throwing the blades with either hand, and his slight of hand tricks using the blades…juggling, and hiding them were known throughout his small town.
He had always planned on taking over the family business one day but for one problem. His Wanderlust. He longed to see more of the world, and knew that though he loved his family, and enjoyed working with the blades, he knew that he must see something of the world before he could settle down and be happy. Fortunately his father was still vigorous, and they agreed that Slice should take some time while he was young and see something of the world.
So he packed up his favorite knives, and took the next ship out…to see the world.
Slice is a 19 year old human, tall and thin of build. He is remarkable in that his hair is prematurely shockingly white. With his tanned skin, and piercing green eyes, his is not a face easily forgotten. He dresses in loose dark colored silk garments, and often wears a felt hat to hide his hair from the stares of others.
Birthplace: The Topaz Dominions
Star Sign: The Spectre

I would like to throw my proverbial hat into the ring. The character would be a samurai. When he was younger he was trained as an assassin, but during one training session he severely damaged one of his legs. He was unable to continue training as a ninja and was depressed. His grandfather came to him with a present, a samurai sword. He let him know that a shogun was willing to take him on as an apprentice and train him in the ways of the samurai and that his injury would not be a problem. He trained for years and became not only an excellent swordman, but a top notch horseman as well.

I would like to put forth my character for consideration:

Germon:

Name: Germon Falleyas

LVL 1 Cavalier: Order of the Dragon
Born in Jehannum
Human Male. Age: 19. Hair: Blonde Eyes:Blue
Ability scores:
Str: 16
Dex: 14
Con: 10
Int: 14
Wis: 10
Cha: 16

He started with 250 gold

Alignment: Chaotic Good (He is a general do gooder but he does not hate evil. He does hate unethical rules and many social norms.)
Patron: Rose

His choice traits are Natural Born Leader, and Armor Expert
Feats: Mounted Combat, Ride-by-Attack
Languages: In keeping with my bio: Common, Undercommon, Elven, Drow sign Language
He carries both a lance and a longsword. He is armored in chainmail.
His horse has the feat Run and is armored in leather.

An exile of Jehannum. Germon grew up in the military and showed much talent as a capable leader and was well liked by his fellows. He was a good student and an able fighter. His family was highly respectable.
For all his qualities he had one fault that would be his downfall. When he was ten he came across an old Drow woman in hiding. At first he thought her to be an enemy because of the stories but she had manage to convince him otherwise. She was one who had managed to live peacefully for many years despite the Jehannum's treachery. She welcomed the Germon warmly and she could tell he had the gift of a leader.
She told him stories of the Drow and the times they had lived peacefully among the Jehannum. She taught him the language, even the drow sign language. She taught him the culture of the Drow and though he did not like most of the origin, he believed that they were entitled to their own opinion. He had gone to see her many times and had learned much of their kind. He found them a fascinating people, if a little misguided in their beliefs, but their ability to cohabit meant there was promise. She not only taught him of the drow but she also taught him other lores and and other knowledges. She had become his secret mentor.
Over the years he had begun to voice his disagreement with the courts about how they handled their Drow wards and that they and the elves should be ashamed for their prejudice and treachery. At one point he made the mistake of revealing the old drows location. One day before his very eyes, he watched as she was beheaded in front of him. He felt guilt, that he had inadvertently betrayed his mentor and dear friend.
Germon may have been intelligent and a good people person but he was, as the old drow had mentioned several times, very naive. He had gone to the local duke and declared him ambition to rule. That he would change things and make this a place that would accept drow and rebuke prejudice against others due to their alignment. For this he was banished. He had been deemed possessed by the drow witch's evil spirit and must be dealt with. He was to be executed but he chose to flee. He swore that one day he would found his own nation and make it a nation of tolerance. Personally he would love nothing more than to return and claim Juhannum as that nation. In order to accomplish this great task, he knew he had to grow stronger. He would take whatever task the gods set before him.

Additional Information about me the player:
I live in the central time zone and have easy access to a pc and have enough time in each day to post once or twice (Good days can be more)
I have more than 12 years experience as a Gamemaster but not much as a player. I am hoping to enjoy the game to its fullest. I am creative, and good at playing my role, I have no intention of being offensive or to make things difficult for anyone. I am very good at role play and story writing and I adapt quickly to different scenarios. I will work with the group to the best of my abilities.

Hope this is cool. I spent a nice amount of time on this character. He's a real team player, and will take a leadership role if the party allows.
If there is anything I need to know, please tell me.

Awesome concepts so far everyone! This is going to be tough. Keep them coming!

Because i forgot to post a bio..

Spoiler:

Darnail at first glance would lead one to believe that like most elves he was aloof, but once engaged in conversation he quickly dispels that notion. Gregarious and easygoing on the outside, he has a gift for making others feel at ease.
A sworn servant of Brith, elven god of the sun, he happily spreads the word of his faith to any who care to listen. His friendly nature is far from an act, as he often times find himself getting involved to help those in trouble or less fortunate.
In his own words: "If you can see into the heart of those you have dealings with, how can you not act to ease any suffering or hardships found therein?"
Despite this outlook, he knows he is still relatively inexperienced when it comes to worldly matters, and has repeatedly asked the church to send him for field duty to remedy this. Due to his social skills, the immediate higher ups have been reluctant to do so, enjoying the boost he has given to the Church in Xoth Sarandi.

Liberty's Edge

I'm dotting this to follow along. I ran the Drow War campaign for my in person group up til about half-way through the third book(we finally decided that epic rules weren't really for us), and I really love the story. I'm looking forward to reading along as this progresses.

Was going to email you but figured it might be just as helpful for others to see the Barbarian I'll be playing.

Ok thats everything. Hope this helps with your decision. I am for the prestige class Battle Herald down the road

Hey guys great submissions. One quick thing, I've been reading over the campaign again and there are a good number of dungeon crawls. That being said it might not be a good idea to focus so much on mounted combat. I love the characters but I don't want anyone to feel like they arent getting to use their fun abilities as much because of the nature of the campaign, at least during the first 10 levels or so. Thanks again and sorry if this causes any inconvenience. As a result if anyone wishes to resubmit a concept I will be extending the submission deadline till tomorrow at midnight to give time if anyone wishes to change their character builds. Once i have the submissions I will have the decisions by noon on Friday at the latest and I hope to start on sunday or monday. Thanks again everyone!

Ok after reading your last post I have decided to change my character.
Logarth is a half-orc who at a young age became a prize fighter. He traveled the world fighting and gaining fame, until one day during a contest he killed someone in the ring. He was quickly ran out of town and became an outcast and a vagabond. Nobody would let him stay and for a year he wandered around the world trying to find a place that he could fit in, but because he was famous everyone knew him by sight and knew that he was in fact a killer. It was during a terrible blizzard that Logarth managed to wander into a temple of Aranu. He asked if he could stay until the storm passed and to his suprize he was allowed to remain. The blizzard lasted for 2 weeks and each day he grew more inquisitive until when the storm finally broke he asked if he could stay here and study to become an acolyte for Aranu. The priest and the god Aranu allowed him to do that and he pursued his studies and training with the same vigor that he possessed as a prize fighter. He now seeks to go out and prove his metal so that he too may become a priest for Aranu and establish a monostary for other outcasts such as himself. Should he be chosen I will gear him out. Thank you for your consideration.

By the hides of the gods! I knew that wizardlings didn't have the stones to step forward when needed. We've had a priest, a thief, a puglist, and some strange men with an unnatural affinity for their horses yet no wizardlings! Bah, I am done with their lot!

(technically someone posted a rogue/wizard!)

Lantern Lodge

It was a rogue/magus

magus is a martial spell casting class they get no where near the versitility.

Just saying it might be helpful to have an arcane outlit because this is a melee heavy group.

EDIT: sorry if this sounds snotty, its not intended that way.

If my cavalier wont do well mounted then his mount wont be his source of combat. While the steed may be useful to my class, it isn't what I wanted. I want the leadership perks that come with cavalier and battle herald. So that being said, I can re-customize my cavalier to be less dependent of his mount for combat bonus. Its possible. If the dungeons we enter are at least 8 feet in hight, my mount can follow if not I have taught him the stay trick and have a whistle (With GMs approval) that can call him. This character is designed using the Heirloom Weapon trait from the player's companion "Adventurers Armory" If that isn't allowed I will simply change it to armor expert.
I will achieve battle herald at level 6 so and both the herald and cavalier don't require skill in mounted combat.

There, this character will run just fine without needing his mount. He will work well as a battle coordinator and strategist. He is also designed to assist the party in a variety of ways. The Bio still stands. If there are any questions please let me know

Threadjack!

It seems you may be trying to start another thread recruiting for Kingmaker. If so, I would like to be the first to throw his name in the ring for consideration.

Leithbridge Gravenhurst

The character is an human Aldori Swordlord. Background in the character profile. Please let me know if there is anything else I can provide. I will keep checking for your recruitment thread.

End threadjack!

Much better Shanosuke! Thank you!

So have you made your choice yet?

Have you considered Cody's houndmaster archetype from this last RPG Superstar contest? It is not official content, but your GM might let it fly.

My GM? I thought you were the GM?

Sorry for the confusion. No, imimrtl (your GM) and I have the same avatar picture when we post, but that's just a coincidence. I was just lurking in the thread and thought I'd throw in my two cents on this.

The link to the Houndmaster archetype is here.

I looked over the hound master and it looks pretty cool. If my GM will allow it I'll take it. Otherwise I'll do just fine with my standard build.
Wow, Same avatar. That caught me off gaurd

I will definitely allow the houndmaster archetype if that is of interest. I was going to allow submissions till later tonight but since there hasn't been any others Ill go ahead. First thank you to everyone for your submissions and I wish I could have a party of 8. As it is I am increasing to 6 total because I couldnt decide. Here is the group with the two preselected first.

Daway/Cael - Human Barbarian
Dain/?? - Human Gunslinger
Rathendar/Darnail - Elven Cleric of Brith
Scranford/Slice - Human Rogue
Erefine/Logarth - Half-orc Monk
Shanosuke/Germon - Human Cavalier

Mathpro I liked Thom but the concept was very similar to Daway's in terms of build. If a spot opens up I will be happy to have you if you want to submit another character. Thanks again.

Those in the group here are the In Character and Out Of Character messageboards where the game will take place. I will be posting a character survey on the OOC boards that I would like you all to complete to give me an idea of your character history. If you would like to write it instead that's fine just try to have most of the questions from the survey answered in the back story.

Let me know if a spot opens up then. Good luck to everyone who made it and Congratulations Shanosuke I know you've been waiting for a while to get into a game. Imimrtl you made a very good choice when it came to him.

Feat Description
Gunsmithing: Access to a Gunsmith Kit allows you to craft firearms and ammunition. No check required.

Craft Firearm: Can craft firearm for 1 day of work every 1,000 GP per cost of Firearm and half the cost of firearm.

Craft Ammunition: You can craft basic ammunition at 10% market value with Gunsmith Kit. If you have one Rank in Craft: Alchemy, you can craft Alchemical ammunition for half the cost of item. The same applies to cartridges. This task takes one day per 1,000 GP of value, minimum of 1 day.

Repair Broken Firearm: Each day you can repair a broken firearm in one hour. No check needed.

Rapid Reload: Reloading a firearm is now a move action. This used to be a Standard Action.

Weapon Finesse: Use Dexterity instead of Strength on light or special weaponse.
Class Ability Description
Deeds: Deeds are specific tasks a Gunslinger can do each day with the use of “Grit”.

Deadeye: The Gunslinger can perform an attack as a “touch attack” beyond their range increment, provided they spend 1 Grit Point. They still suffer the usual penalty to Range Increment.

Gunslingers Dodge: At 1st level, the gunslinger gains an uncanny knack for getting out of the way of ranged attacks. When a ranged attack is made against the gunslinger, she can spend 1 grit point to move 5 feet as an immediate action; doing so grants the gunslinger a +2 bonus to AC against the triggering attack. This movement is not a 5-foot step, and provokes attacks of opportunity. Alternatively, the gunslinger can drop prone to gain a +4 bonus to AC against the triggering attack. The gunslinger can only perform this deed while wearing medium or light armor, and while carrying no more than a light load

Quick Clear (Ex): At 1st level, as a standard action, the gunslinger can remove the broken condition from a single firearm she is currently wielding, as long as that condition was gained by a firearm misfire. The gunslinger must have at least 1 grit point to perform this deed. Alternatively, if the gunslinger spends 1 grit point to perform this deed, she can perform quick clear as a move-equivalent action instead of a standard action.

Grit: Gunslinger starts each day with “Grit” equal to Wisdom Modifier. In this case “+2”.

Gunsmith: Gain the Feat “Gunsmith” for free and starts the game with a battered gun which he can upgrade to “Masterwork” at the cost of 300 GP.

1. Background for Character

Where was your character born?
– Xoth Sarandi

Who raised him?
-- Lance was raised by his parents. The Antares family first got its big start when several centuries one of the ancestors of the modern family ended up saving the life of a minor elven noblewoman. The man, one Orion Antares, was a wealthy merchant and free trader. The elven maid was promised to him as wife, if he cemented a shipping industry with the city; which he did. The marriage prospered, and occasionally his offspring have intra-married with Elven stock, though it is predominately human. Even today, Orion’s sword has been passed down father to son, and was now given to Lance by his father Elriq on graduation from the Naval Academy.

Lance’s father, Elriq, is a stout man of power who has encouraged his son to enlist in the town’s naval academy and serve the nation of Xoth Sarandi. Lance did so, to placate his father’s needs, and was bequeathed a weapon that was passed down for his efforts. However, after a four year term in the naval academy, he purchased a small sloop and set sail to make his fortune.

What was happening in the region when your character was growing up?
– Xoth Sarandi was, and is, a metropolis of great renown. To this day, when in town, Lance is recognized as a ship’s captain, a former member of the Elven Navy, and is regarded with minor respect and accolades due his title. However, he spends little time there, preferring the open sea and the freedom to chart his own course.

Does your character have any relatives?
– Yes. He has a mother and a father (Elriq) a human 50 years old. His mother is Josephine, a human of 41 years of age. He also has a younger sister Madeline, who is 15 and engaged to a 18 year old Human ensign (Derek Rand) that has recently received his papers to serve a 2 year term with the Elven Navy. Derek completely loves the Antares family, though is often distrusting and suspicious of Lance, feeling he should have continued to serve with the people that helped him instead of leaving the empire.

2. Motivation

What are your character’s immediate goals? What would he like to do in the coming year?
– Get back his ship! Lance is a competent sailor, and a good fighter. However, his sloop “The Scarlet Succubus” was taken from him in a raid by a pirate lord. More on this below.

What are his long-term goals?
-- Get his ship and kill the miserable sod who took it!

What type of person would be his ideal mate?
– Someone with heart, compassion, spirit, and beauty. Someone with danger, mystery and intrigue.

Who is his patron deity? Is he a devout worshiper?
--- No specific patron deity. He respects all gods alike, both Avillon and Callistan but is a bit partial to Old Heakun and Arosi, though he will place most of his “patronage” to Valkazz.

Is he a devout member of any nonreligious cause?
-- He is a former member of the Naval Academy of the Xoth Sarandi. He is respectful of their military heirchy, and the government of his home. He also respects the “laws” of the sea, honoring the codes he traveled under while during his time as a Free Trader/Privateer. He still possesses his letters of marquee from Xoth Sarandi, even though he does not have a ship.

Is there any race, creed, alignment, religion or the like against which he is strongly prejudiced?
-- He mistrusts many, specifically those of “evil alignment”. But believes actions, not race should call the man what he is. Those who deliberately choose to align with a cause that he feels to be dangerous or deadly, or evil, he will judge by the actions of the cause.

What is his greatest fear?
– Becoming a slave, and having his freedom stolen.

What is the one task he absolutely refuses to do?
– Carry or transport slavers. Lance may be a bit of a wild person, but he has his own “code” that he always sticks to.

Idiosyncrasies
What is your character’s motto or favorite saying?
– “Never tell me the odds!”
What is his favorite color?
--- Silver
Describe what he would wear if money were no object?
-- He is already wearing it, though if he had the time, it would be better mended and cared for.

What is his favorite food? Drink?
-- He enjoys seafood; shellfish, salmon steaks, lobsters, cracked crabs, oyster stew, gumbo, shrimp, and so forth. He has a refined taste for wine, preferring “Elven” wine, to human style; he enjoys white with his sea food, namely mead, and also likes sweater types; liquor’s, port, and a type of Elven Sangria.

What is his favorite animal?
-- He enjoys falcon’s and also dolphins. Both are wise beasts that are good to sailors and epitomize “freedom” to him.

What habits of his friends annoy him most?
-- His tendency to go on with long stories and occasionally talk down to “common folk” a bad trait he developed while being “classically educated” while serving with his family.

Miscellaneous

What well-known media figure from sports, movies or politics most closely resembles your character?
-- Most likely Harrison Ford, with a touch of Nathon Fillion.

What would be his theme song?
-- As for THAT… go here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LZcMv0H1bI

If his friends were to write his epitaph, what would it be?
-- Here lies Lance Antares. He may have been a bit of a bastard from time to time, but he was always true to his friends, and good to his word. We’ll miss him.

What would be his job in modern society?
-- Soldier of Fortune.

The above is a simple description of my character for the game. I will have a more detailed "backstory" added soon for consideration. I'm looking forward to gaming soon.
