This was a short playtest for the Pathfinder RPG Beta rules (although I think it was a bit too late to be of much use). A group of 18th level PCs faced a CR 17 frost giant jarl and a CR 17 white dragon from the 3.5 Monster Manual. They wailed on them pretty easily, although the dragon managed to scare a couple of PCs off with dragonfear + Dazzling Display and the frost giant dishonourably sundered a couple of Cloaks of Flying.
