'Well, These three can handle the skeletons I will grab their horses, just in case.' Seeing the party move in on foot to attack the undead threat, Seamus also dismounts, and begins to gather the reins of the rider less horses, hoping to keep them from spooking..."Good horsey's, everybody stay calm, no need to stampede, Seamus is here."

he doesn't have any skill on 'handle animal' hopefully this is just 'hang on' to animal and won't need a skill check

As the party attacks the skeletons Seamus gathers the reins to everyone horses and keeps them from funning off.

With that the last of the skeletons fall. XP=100 each.

Retired to Taldor?

Seamus nods his head, "Good Job everyone!" He hands everyone back the reins of their horses and mounts back up. "I assume were still heading west?"

Pardon me my dear sirs, but you are aware that you are going the bloody wrong direction, we are going in a westwardly direction, not east, east is behind us, so get you mind right good fellow.

Male Human Rogue6/Clr1 Current Map

You are heading due west.

Retired to Taldor?

thanks, I changed it, don't want to offend the continuity fairies.

Male Human Rogue6/Clr1 Current Map

You prolly shouldn't have changed it. It is natural for Seamus to not have his directions right! Now Autumns' statement is out of place.

Retired to Taldor?

oops, tell her not to hate me

She is not going to hate you, but is losing the story both here and in RC.

Male Human Rogue6/Clr1 Current Map

You continue along the high ridge for another four miles (please give me an updated order of march please.) The rocks and snow along this part of the ridge are red stained a red dish brown, and many tracks, both animal and human, cross the area.

Female Half-elf Urban Barbarian 1 / Mobile Fighter 2, HP 31/31

Paletress is in front again.

Survival: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8Attempting to make sense of the tracks.

Male Human Rogue6/Clr1 Current Map

You find a corpse half buried in the snow. You can make a knowledge nature on the tracks.

Retired to Taldor?

"Give me a minute, I'll check the corpse" Seamus dismounts and carefully checks the corpse, 'might be like the trunk and be booby trapped' while he searches the corpse for traps and the for valuables, he attempts to see what killed it.

Aside from his bloody and ripped (but still usable) cold-weather outfit, he also wears a pair of homemade snowshoes, and though his shortbow is snapped in half, two arrows remain in his quiver. His bloodstained pack lying half- covered by a fresh dusting of snow nearby. It holds 3 days' worth of trail rations, a half-full hip flask of strong applejack, and a journal.

Grand Lodge

Well first casting detect magic for the new items and then take another crack at that danm bloody cloak. Then also cast mending on the two broken but not destroyed condition to make it good as new.

Ok,Seamus, let me help you, also who has the cloak. Also let me see the journal, Hmm, wasn't expecting this but my sword is glowing too. (what language is it).

Male Human Rogue6/Clr1 Current Map

The cloak is a cloak of the yeti. This heavy cloak is crafted from shaggy white yeti fur. When the cloak's hood is pulled up over the wearer's head , it takes on a semblance of its arctic namesake's fearsome visage.
Northern warriors value its ability to ward against the chill of winter, as well as the protection it provides in combat. The cloak of the yeti provides a constant endure elements effect in cold weather (it has no effect in hot weather). In battle, the cloak wraps around the wearer, granting a +1 natural armor bonus . In addition , with the hood drawn over the wearer's head , the cloak grants a +2 competence bonus on Intimidate skill checks.

Male Human Rogue6/Clr1 Current Map

The short sword you were identifying is +1. While you were detecting magic, the 2 arrows are also magical.

Retired to Taldor?

Seamus pulls the cloak out of his pack and hands it to Autimn, "here it is Autumn."While Autumn is taking a closer look at the equipment, Seamus looks through the mans journal.

Male Human Rogue6/Clr1 Current Map

The journal detailing Dryden's efforts in tracking the giant weasel. The journal mentions the bear traps he set at the head of Somir Valley, as well as his discovery of the strange hut nearby and the even stranger doll inside it. Story award 100 XP each.

Retired to Taldor?

After reading through the journal Seamus tucks it in his pack. Cringing a little as he removes the usable gear from the corpse, "Dryden here was hunting a giant weasel, he even placed some traps in the head of the Somir Valley. Also says he found a strange hut with an even stranger doll inside. Sounds like we'll need to keep an eye out for all three the Giant weasel, the traps and the dollhut." Looking at the body he asks. "Do we take the time to bury Dryden here or build a cairn and light him on fire. Or are we just going to leave him?"

Male Human Rogue6/Clr1 Current Map

In going through the experience, you should have received another 120 for role playing with the orc rogue. So the total by my count at least for the four of you is 1780 XP.

everyone deserves a proper final rest.

Female Half-elf Urban Barbarian 1 / Mobile Fighter 2, HP 31/31

"Burn him," Paletress says without hesitation. "Ground's too hard, heh, and don't wanna risk him forgetting he's dead."

Paletress is gonna stare at that cloak REALLY hard...

Retired to Taldor?

no offence, were all looking at it pretty hard. We can either discuss who needs/deserves it based on amount of gear they already possess, Armor Class and fortitude or roll dice for it. Speaking of what gear we have, Sparhawk do you want to give Beollimandus the longbow since his dex is 14, he can then also carry the +1 arrows.

Seamus begins helping gather wood for the fire, once the team has enough wood to give the man a proper final rest. As he pulls out his flint and steel he asks "Does anyone want to say a few words before I light this?"

Male Human Rogue6/Clr1 Current Map

Well, you have to get it away from Autumn as she is currently wearing it so I know she will put a hand it for it! Without her mage armor which lasts currently 1 hour a day she is AC 12.

Retired to Taldor?

exactly, course she also has natural cold resistance and the +1 sword, I'm just looking for a way to get Seamus in out of the cold. His AC is 18 and he has the masterwork chainshirt, MW thieves tools and MW dagger, so he's not hurting on gear or AC. Do we want to vote who gets it or Roll?

Male Human Magus (Bladebound Eldritch Scion of Destiny) 2; HP 20/20, Init +0, AC 15/FF 15/T 10; F5+4, R +0, W +3; Per +4; CMB +4 CMD 13

Sparhawk doesn't need cold protection though eventually he will be doing intimidates. For now he doesn't have an opinion.

Sparhawk helps strip the poor man of his belongings and then nudges his horse along again.

Retired to Taldor?

may as well let Autumn keep it, there will be other stuff and she needs the AC

'Hope I don't get stacked on a wood pile and set out fire out here.' After the funeral pyre was started for the stranger Seamus mounts onto the sorrel mare.

Watching Autumn put the magical cloak on Seamus smiles pulling his own bear rug cloak up around his shoulders, 'She probably wouldn't appreciate it if I ask if I can climb under the cloak with her'

Calling forward to the big half elf and the guy with the fancy horse. "Well if we are heading to the Somir Valley keep an eye out for traps, if you find them I will disable them, maybe we can take them with us and use them around or camp at night."

Male Human Rogue6/Clr1 Current Map

A cold wind blows through the forest atop the ridge. Heavy snow burdens the boughs of the evergreen trees, but someone has apparently cleared the snow from large patch o f ground to dig in the pine - needle- carpeted soil.

Female Half-elf Urban Barbarian 1 / Mobile Fighter 2, HP 31/31

Think my most expensive piece of gear is the breastplate. Don't think I have a thing of masterwork. I'm just thinking as the person whose primary objective is to run in and tangle with as many people as possible that the cloak might be a good addition. Roll or vote, I'd like a shot.

Paletress attempts to ascertain what the meaning of the uncovered ground might be.

Survival: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21 In case it is buried stuff

Retired to Taldor?

@ Paletress, I agree you don't have a lot, the breastplate and the coldiron long sword appear to be it. Seamus just pointed out that Autumn was putting on the cloak to get moving again, we can vote or roll, I just figured out the game could keep moving while we did so ;)

well that's rather odd' seeing the odd uncovered patch if ground Seamus dismounts, tying the mare to a tree he carefully approaches the area along side Paletress "I don't know a lot about the woods but that doesn't look normal. As they get nearer Seamus takes a careful look around. I wonder if this is where that hunter put his traps'

Then consider my previous post as having gone over to investigate... 10 foot pole in hand. She will use it to test the ground before doing any digging.
