Autumn manages to get a fire started. You will need to gather wood to keep it going.

after the tent is set up, Seamus heads into the nearby woods to begin gathering up firewood.

Caan hunkers down in the tent, making his night prayers and rituals to Groetus.

Sparhawk helps to gather firewood quietly, then sits down and rests his feet.

After Seamus gathers as much good dry wood as he can carry he returns to the tent, placing the wood in as dry a spot a possible he asks the team, "How shall we do guard duty, I don't mind having the middle shift, I don't sleep well anyway?" As the group discusses the watch, need to make sure the horse is taken care of, don't want to carry all that stuff myself Seamus unloads the horse, checks it's blanket, then feeds and waters it. Eventually settling down with his lyre, ready to play a little as the team rests.

"Third watch for me. I love the sounds of morning!" Caan rejoins the group, eyes still wild from his nightly supplications.

Sparhawk offers to take any watch, though he can't see too well in the dark.

Paletress pats her cloak several times after dropping an armful of wood, then begins to pick up the wood and thump it against a nearby tree to shake bits of ice and snow from it.

"I'm first. Heh. I like to walk around before settling in. Might open up a clearing around the tent so I can move normally, long as it doesn't snow."

as a caster just put me on first or 3rd, I just need my rest. i can see well in the dark unlike some elves and hedwig too, night time is our element.

while were sitting about resting, does anyone want to try and make snowshoes?

Is it very late? Maybe we can time it so 3rd watch is dark and the two with night vision can be on third.

It has to be at least six as you didn't leave Heldrin until noon and you spent a lot of time in between sites.

Per crafting rules on the road, you can spend four hours crafting in camp but it only yields two hours worth of work.

After a quick bite to eat, then playing his lute for a little bit, Seamus goes to sleep, waiting for Paletress to wake him up for the middle watch.

I know how snow shoes are made, i will need some rope, leather cut into strips and some sticks to make a frame. then lace the rope in a cross pattern

When Caan's turn to watch the camp rolls around, the half-orc spies Autumn's snowshoes: inspired, he spends most of his morning trying to replicate them.

Caan spends a moment working himself up before getting to work: his eyes go a little wild with passion and creativity. Caan is using Visions of madness on himself to boost skill checks, at the expense of his attacks/saves.

Samus, waking, I hate getting out of a warm bed into the cold wraps himself in his blanket, crossbow in hand, walks around trying to wake up as he keeps watch.

You see movement in the trees as a wild boar starts charging at you. Roll init!

through the flickering fire light Seamus sees the boar rush out from under the snow covered pine tree, he drops his blanket from around his shoulders preparing to fire the crossbow.

who gets to go first incase of a tie? just in case

Seamus, stalling for what seems to be an eternity, finally brings his crossbow to bear yelling Boar!

Seamus, feeling the boars tusk brush against his cold leg, drops the crossbow, pulling out his rapier, stabbing at the beast as he jumps back away from it.

The boar feels cold steel and advances toward Seamus again:

Picking up her sword and shield as she rises, Paletress grumbles several lines of vitriolic invective as she moves outside just in time to see Seamus get most heartily truffled by the boar.

Autumn just misses with her spell. Caen and Sparhawk are up.

When able, Caan stands up and makes his way out of the tent, waving his greataxe around. Is it dark?

The only light is from the campfire and from the stars.

Since paletresswas sleeping and casters were on 1st or 3rd watch I assume Sparhawk was keeping watch with Seamus? If not will just move closer.

Sparhawk pulls his sword and shield and moves forward, attacking the boar.

Seamus. gored badly by the boar falls unconscious, bleeding heavily from his leg.

Sparhawk are you not a castor as a magus? The boar is staggered, but does not go down and attempts to gore Sparhawk.

Correct. Magus kinda suck at spell combat at level 1-2 so he is mainly just being a fighter haha. I also forgot about my spell keep watch, which will allow someone to keep watch all night with no ill effects, though combat breaks it and you must finish resting if attacked.

Autumn is having computer issues so if Caen and Paletress could go.
