Shrouded in thick fog, the shifting Gloomspires north of the Shackles have long frustrated explorers. However, a recent discovery by the Pathfinder Society has revealed a brief opportunity to navigate the columns safely and search for the lost treasure of the legendary pirate Sevenfingers. The only problem is that the Pathfinders are not the only visitors to the Gloomspires.
Welcome everyone! Please check in and provide the usual:

I like to keep my games moving so I'll ask you to post once a day and to say if, for whatever reasons, you can't do so. Thank you! :)
Please report your perception and initiative modifiers in the second slide of the handouts.

I added a line to both for Robyyn's bat familiar, Ayrii.

With nobody getting notifications, it's likely that at least one player--if not more--isn't aware of new posts. And the problem will just get bigger if the rest of us keep going.
So, I'm putting all of my games on hold until either:
1) Paizo fixes the problem (they are working on it).
OR
2) Everybody posts in this thread, so that we know they are aware of the problem and manually checking for new posts.
Lord Braggett Fizzlebotham IV |
Checking in
Iqaal of the Miusunnit |
Also manually checking.

I had an exceptionally long day today that I didn't expect and haven't the time to get anything posted tonight. I will try to get something done in the morning before work. Sorry bout that.

Gremlins! They'll get ya every time :) Good luck getting you computer back to normal.

@GM Zinou: I'm having a little difficulty in understanding the mounted combat and ride rules fully. Specifically, the rules that allow for both Kibble and Braggett to attack in the same turn.
Fight with a Combat-Trained Mount: If you direct your war-trained mount to attack in battle, you can still make your own attack or attacks normally. This usage is a free action.
The way I figure it is that if Kibble attacks then I will have to succeed in a ride check DC 10 or Braggett will not be able to attack. Is that how you see it? Also, if I fail the check, would Braggett be free to perform a standard action instead?

Hey everyone, this weekend is going to be extremely busy for me. I'll be offline from Friday afternoon EST (UTC -4) until Essentially Monday morning.

I understand it the same way: each round, Braggett has to make a DC 5 ride check or be unable to act. The DC rises to 10 if you want Kibble to attack.

Ah that new computer smell... Oh wait that's cars... Or is it babies? Anywho, glad you're up and running again, and thanks for the rules clarification.
Agis of Sothis |
I'm back online too. My schedule also just got a lot freer for the next few weeks as I no longer have a tournament to prep and run.
Alons-y!
Robyyn |
Robyyn feels once again that his spell finds nowhere to take place in the mindless spirit of these cannibals. He begins to understand that they are surely immune in some way to these kind of charms and curses.
I did prep some non-mind-affecting spells in anticipation of fighting undead, but kinda figured I'd have some fun affecting OTHER minds throughout the scenario....
Seems a witch might not be the best class for this one? I'll make the best of it. :)
GM Zinou |
Yeah, barbarians immune to mind-affecting effects are hard to deal with :/
Indeed, it might have not been the easier scenario for a witch. But some non-mind-affecting hexes exist: fortune and misfortune.
I GM'ed once a serie of scenarios featuring almost only undeads and the witch kept on spamming misfortune...
Robyyn |
I'm still eligible to rebuild; I was planning on Misfortune for later, but may need to rebuild that in after this scenario. Flight is just so flavorful for the sylph, it's hard to give up.
Findlefarb |
Hey, I'm feeling the same way right now. Many of my actions expect the enemy to put two thoughts together. Thankfully, I've got the Inspire Courage fallback.
Lord Braggett Fizzlebotham IV |
I usually play bards, and yeah mindless enemies can be pretty annoying for that class :)
BTW, I just noticed that it looks like Indra's first attack should have hit afterall (she had a 40 for the miss chance).
Lord Braggett Fizzlebotham IV |
Just to let you know, I'll be away from my computer and unable to post on Friday and Saturday.
Agis of Sothis |
Yes sorry, it's Force Ward. I'm still working on how to make a good profile for the Kineticist. I'll try to clean it up during my office hours today.

In my experience, the stat block look that Paizo uses is a particularly poor way to display the capabilities of a PC, especially since we tend to accrue various situational modifiers.
