Daeron Woodblood |
Daeron tries to moves forward and gain momentum. As a full-round action tries to moves 3 cards
Initiative: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15Mythic Surge: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (4, 4) + 1 = 9
First one is a success
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Climb: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11
Acrobatics (5* Reroll): 1d20 + 5 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 + 5 = 22
Fall from less than 5 one roll so can move one card and my turn stops.
Using his Mythic power, Daeron is able to gain a little advantage !
GM Z..D.. |
Daeron by my understanding of the rules. you only roll the two checks for the card you are leaving. So i think you still move the three squares.
nefti: 1d20 ⇒ 14
kafar: 1d20 ⇒ 7
Daeron-You are at a quicksand patch- You can either make a survival check to find solid ground or a slightly higher swim check to force your way through it.
Omrijka and Apollyanna-you find yourself in a narrow pass-you can either try to evade it with a reflex or break through it with a strength
Ezren-you're still stuck on the steep slope-climb or acrobatics
Kyra-still on the high ground-initiative or perception
Daeron Woodblood |
@GM In this case, cool ! and I will not use my star reroll ^^
Moving with ease through the canyon, Daeron is stopped by quicksand. He tries to find solid ground to pass through.
Survival: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
Apollyanna Lapin Sukino |
Any idea how much strength or reflex? I mean looking at a hill I as a player could figure out how hard it is to climb in relation to looking at say the Everest in the Himalayas.
Omrijka |
Omrijka will try strength and reflex
strength check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
reflex: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
With a mythic point on the strength if needed to bet the dc
mythic: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
mythic: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
GM Z..D.. |
Sorry polly, forgot to go and add the DCs strength and reflex are both 15. And with Omrijka now succeeding on two, she can move thee squares forward and catch the two Aspis. So the chase is over, that was quick.
Omrijka: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Ezren: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Daeron: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
Kyra: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Apollyana: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
Kafar: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Nefti: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21

Once the two aspis catched, Daeron tries to discuss first !
Guys! We don't need to fight. We are Pathfinders, not murderers. I understand that one of you is quite ill. Kyra here, is able to help you heal the disease and can provide you the first basic need.
We also are ready to forgot your past and welcome you into our Society. You are two bright and competent men and the Society needs man like you.
Join us rather than fight and together we will find the Diamond Sage.
Listen to my friends first !
GM Z..D.. |
If that's the route we are to go. Diplomacy roll to call a parley?
GM Z..D.. |
Sure, ill allow it, I never mind avoiding a fight if the opponent can communicate
Bemmer - Kyra |
I can try to talk to them
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
Hold! We need not shed each other's blood today. Let us talk and resolve this amicably. I believe that one of you may be sickened and we may be able to assist.
Omrijka |
diplomacy aid: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
"they say you work for bad raisins. Is that true?"
Apollyanna Lapin Sukino |
Sorry polly, forgot to go and add the DCs strength and reflex are both 15. And with Omrijka now succeeding on two, she can move thee squares forward and catch the two Aspis. So the chase is over, that was quick.
Now we're talkin'! She uses her mythic surge to overcome her movement penalties for the rest of the chase and tries both challenges.
Strength check (Mythic Str): 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 1 = 7 Or not....
Reflex save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8 Mired.
"$#@%! I mean, 'drat'."
Next round: full-round action to stand up again.
GM Z..D.. |
The male with the goatee replies first, Yes, we both sustained injuries while dealing with the akatas. And it is true, we are currently employed but the Aspis Consortium. After this mission, we were going to take our cut and leave.
The younger one nods in agreement with his friend.
GM Z..D.. |
going to need an additional diplomacy for this request. At least they are indifferent to you now.
The younger one speaks first this time, Let us discuss this. With that, they move a couple feet away and start going over things.
GM Z..D.. |
The PC's see the to nod and the older male with the goatee and purple turban approaches the group. We agree, we shall help you in this quest of yours. I am Kafar, He turns to the other, And this is Nefti. We just completed a transaction in the Pillars of the Sun. And were about to make our way back before you started after us.
Nefti steps forward, What help could we be of, you guys seem really capable yourselves.
Bemmer - Kyra |
Two more pairs of hands will always make work lighter. And you two seem to be fairly capable yourselves. Please assist us in our quest.
I have 1 scroll of lesser restoration. I could cast it on one of them or maybe we can save it. I did promise to help as much as I could. GM Z..D.. Can I make a couple of heal checks to see which is more in need of the healing of the scroll? Will lesser restoration even fix those glass worm things?
Heal: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18
Heal: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17
GM Z..D.. |
Unfortunately no, since it is technically disease. But I will allow the heal checks to know that it will not progress further for another hour or two
Bemmer - Kyra |
Sarenrae has not granted me the ability to cure your disease outright, but I can see that you have some time before your condition will worsen. I will see that you are connected with the Society's best healers when we return to the lodge.
Daeron Woodblood |
What do you know about the Diamond Sage ? And how have you been able to get ahead of us ? What have you done to the Sage's stone you found before us in the Sanctum ?
Asks Daeron who would like to know more about what they know and how.
GM Z..D.. |
Kafar responds to the questions, We do not know too much about the sages themselves. As for the stones, like we said, we already sold the Emerald and the topaz. As he says this he pulls out 3 pieces of parchment. Two terms of sale and a letter of credit worth 6,000 gp, all three of which are signed by a Angvar Branmaz.
Apollyanna Lapin Sukino |
I could use a bit of magic to make at least one of them a bit more friendly suggests the mage.
"I didn't know you could heal."
Apollyanna Lapin Sukino |

"Who's that? What do you suppose that all means?"
Apollyanna Lapin Sukino |
"I don't get it. Is that the 'party of the first part' or 'corporate entity'? Isn't that some sort of outsider? And why is first guy going to so many parties? I mean doesn't he have a job or something?"
Omrijka |
knowledge local: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
"Who this Angar Bramvar? Is she rich? And why did you have to sell the jewels?"
sorry stupid paladin taking the story nowhere
Apollyanna Lapin Sukino |
Whaddya mean I'm not taking it anywhere!? ;P
Daeron Woodblood |
Know. (local) with Pin's Faction: 1d20 + 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (7) + (4) + 5 = 16
May be a local merchant. We will investigate later but that's a shame you sell them to him. he says to their new allies and to their two paladins.
Daeron is ready to go.
GM Z..D.. |
As the PC's finish their conversation with Nefti and Kafar, the Sapphire Sage, Amenopheus comes from behind a rock formation.
Ah, there you are. I finally caught up to you. He looks over at the two people he does not quite recognize. These must be the theives then. I take it you all came it a pleasant resolution since they are still alive. Good job. He takes a moment to catch his breath. Before, he starts again, in the same direction Nefti and Kafar was heading. Shall we continue, he calls back over his shoulder.
After a few more minutes of walking, the group finds themselves at a dead end, where the gorge abruptly ends in a wall of stone.
Ah, I see the illusion has held after all these years. Amenopheus pushes back his sleeve and says a short incantation while making minor movements with his hand.
A moment later, where solid rock once was now stands beautifully engraved columns support the ornate entablature topped by a wide tapered cornice. The style hearkens back to Osirion’s golden age, and the impeccable design and craftsmanship lives up to the ] standards set by the ancient dynasties. A short flight of stairs ascends to stone door in the mountain.
The PC's enter the sanctum, lead by the Sapphire Sage. Water gurgles in fountains set at either end of this crescent-shaped chamber. Fourteen columns support the vaulted ceiling, and the walls are polished to a smooth finish that reflects and scatters any light that the PCs introduce or that shines in from outside.
Now is a good time to mention, unless noted, the ceiling is 10 feet high, and is dark unless light is brought in with you.
GM Z..D.. |
The group decided to head through the North door. Amenopheus pulls out a wand and mutters something. A moment later, the tip begins to glow white shining brightly and reflecting off of every surface.
This chamber’s floor angles upward as it meets the walls, which in turn angle inward like those of a pyramid, creating a space shaped like a cut diamond. The walls are smooth and somewhat transparent, like foggy quartz, save for where three opaque doors stand to the north, east, and west. In the center of the room, a clear 5-foot diameter crystal hovers a short distances from the floor and spins slowly.
Amenopheus approaches the diamond and seems to speak to it announcing himself.
I am Amenopheus, the Sapphire Sage. I seek the Diamond sage With that, a vision or reflection appears in the diamond of a garundi man walking towards the North door. A small key shaped sliver of diamond breaks from the crystal. Amenopheus nods and takes the key and turns for the door.
As the PC's past by the crystal, they receive an empathic feeling of curiosity and inquiry, as though the crystal is trying to determine who they are.
Ok, a lot of text I know. Had to get through it
Apollyanna Lapin Sukino |

"You mean this isn't a desert?"
Amenopheus pushes back his sleeve and says a short incantation while making minor movements with his hand.

"Oh."
Apollyanna will stow her shield and ready her lantern if there isn't another, easier to handle, secondary light to be had.
Omrijka |
At the diamond thing Omrijka will speak I am Omrijka, Protector of pretty things. I'm with old dude seeking diamond sage."
She follows Amenopheus
