WE ARE GO FOR GAMEPLAY!
This is another one of those damned Adventure Paths that begins like "Hey all of your players are already a group, right?" Honestly, I don't care to rush into that because it can feel so incredibly forced. It's essentially the introduction of "SO YOU'RE ALL IN THIS TAVERN" which we somehow haven't moved past after 40 years.
Since it's a small(ish) town and (going back discussion canon), you all likely at least know of each other, feel free to interact but, you know, don't feel obligated to be like, "Hey let's solve all of this! AVENGERS ASSEMBLE" right off the bat.
I have a few tricks in mind to get you guys together if it doesn't happen organically. In the meantime, explore the town, meet people, talk to each other, maybe go to the town meeting, maybe just kiss a boy/girl/creature in the middle of the day.

Oh, also, so you know, I'm likely to drop off very quickly with asking what do you do? just because I'll forget. It should be assumed that, you know, when I present you with something that I'm waiting for your response.
With a few of you being new to DW, please do feel free to ask questions. It's a bit different and can take some getting used to.

Sorry to hear, Goromatz. I was looking forward to giving you lots of weird things to try and make into food.
I'm good with taking a peek through the applicants again - and since we have a cohesive party now, please feel free to help me out with that. If you'd like to, send me a recommendation or two from those who posted by, say, Wednesday at noon EST, and I'll see where our opinions line up, and see if someone is still interested / available to join up. There's a decent enough hook coming up for them soon.

I have been called?
I'll have to read up on what happened so far as a player, then it's key to see if we need to retcon anything. Maybe I've been stalking the party since they left, maybe we jsut bumped into each other.
I just had a successful presentation of my graduation project so it looks like I'll be receiving my bachelor's degree soon. Also means I'll have even more time.
Also going on holiday for a month, so I might slow down just a little bit around then. (Also might not, plenty of time to write when my fiancé is off to work :D)

Welcome. Good to see you back here. If there's anything you want to establish with me, just send me a PM. Don't know about everyone else, but I doubt they'd be too opposed to it. Just do what you need to do, make your preparations, and have a good time.
And nice job on your presentation.

Super not looking to interrupt the roleplay. Let me know when you guys are ready to move on and where you're going to go.
Also, FYI I'll be away from the 2nd until the 9th as I'll be at GenCon, so things will be quiet there. I'd like to get in a few posts beforehand, but we can play it by ear.

Gotcha. Anyone, if you're going to look like a problem, get it out of the way! Changeling's been looking after this town for ages, and he ain't having anyone causing problems in it! Just line up, and you'll get your turn with him attempting to get you to behave.
Anyway, no problem with you being absent, have fun. I'm used to waiting on this game, so it's not a problem here.

Yeah... Sorry about that. :( I wasn't expecting to have both crunch time at my job as well as the added time and brain suck that is finding a new job. I'm a web developer so every place I applied to I basically had to have a complex phone screen, ~4 hour pre-interview test, and ~4-6 hour interview.
The good news is that I have found a place, so I should be able to get us onto an actual regular schedule instead of this like, once a week b#$!%~!!.
"Changeling" |
Hey, it can be easy to forget, but everyone's a person on here. They have their own lives to handle. You can't be faulted for that.
You do whatever you need to. Just don't forget about us, alright? Glad to hear you have a place, and look forward to seeing things pick up...hopefully. Stuff happens, after all.

Man y'all have been BUSY in my absence.
I just realised that I never updated you that I was in Indianapolis for a week at GenCon, so you've all probably been thinking I abandoned you. Sorry about that. :(
I've got a post coming for you now, and I swear we're getting back to an actual schedule.

Hi everyone. My apologies for going thread to thread hat in hand looking for players, but I'd very much like to keep my Trail of Cthulhu campaign going, but we're down to only two regular posters and I haven't been able to get much interest for more yet. It's a great campaign with an admittedly slow build up that is fortunately heating up now.
So if you're at all interested in trying out a straightforward mystery rpg system, maybe going a little mad while you're at it while tracking down the remnants of a Mythos sex cult in Los Angeles 1937, the recruitment thread is here. Thanks!
