Greetings Heroes!

Human Warlock 6; AC 16 (18 with shield); HP 39/39; Saves Str +2, Dex +2, Con +1*, Int +0, Wis +4; Cha +7; Init +2; Passive Perception 9

Hello

Greetings

Male Halfling Bard

Greetings and salutations.

Human Warlock 6; AC 16 (18 with shield); HP 39/39; Saves Str +2, Dex +2, Con +1*, Int +0, Wis +4; Cha +7; Init +2; Passive Perception 9

What city are we to start in? My character hails from Aundair, but as a scholar/researcher, it is easy to explain him being just about anywhere. ESPECIALLY Morgrave or Korranberg.

Male Halfling Bard

If memory serves me correctly, Sharn. It's good to be home. My character hails from Sharn originally. Like your warlock my cleric is also a researcher. Did you pick up a glyphbook by any chance?

Male Wargorged Fighter 1

Bludgeon reporting for duty, sir!

I am sorry yes you guys are in Sharn.

Human Warlock 6; AC 16 (18 with shield); HP 39/39; Saves Str +2, Dex +2, Con +1*, Int +0, Wis +4; Cha +7; Init +2; Passive Perception 9

No, I dont recall having seen that equipment... what book is it in?

Eberron Campaign setting, it gives bonuses deciphering the glyphs in xen'drik.

Human Warlock 6; AC 16 (18 with shield); HP 39/39; Saves Str +2, Dex +2, Con +1*, Int +0, Wis +4; Cha +7; Init +2; Passive Perception 9

Ah it would make sense my character bought that when expecting to respond to a xendrik expedition invitation

Male Halfling Bard

so far introductions seem to be going well, has anybody tried sending a message to mir or nix?

Human Warlock 6; AC 16 (18 with shield); HP 39/39; Saves Str +2, Dex +2, Con +1*, Int +0, Wis +4; Cha +7; Init +2; Passive Perception 9

i sent one to Mir as the DM noted we were missing an elf.

Female Elf Duskblade 1

Thanks for the reminder. Here I am.

Male Halfling Bard

Now let's see if we can get Nix in here.

Human Warlock 6; AC 16 (18 with shield); HP 39/39; Saves Str +2, Dex +2, Con +1*, Int +0, Wis +4; Cha +7; Init +2; Passive Perception 9

sent a PM

Male Halfling Bard

What should those of us who prepare spells do to show what spells we have prepared? I believe that right now I would be preparing 1 Scholar's Touch, 1 Touch of Jorasco, and for my domain slot detect secret doors (knowledge domain). Mind you I can lose a slot for any spell in the healing domain, and I believe I can lose my domain slot for a cure spell. Phb II cleric options are pretty good.

Human Warlock 6; AC 16 (18 with shield); HP 39/39; Saves Str +2, Dex +2, Con +1*, Int +0, Wis +4; Cha +7; Init +2; Passive Perception 9

I don't have spells, but i have invocations. actually, just one invocation. It is one of the ones you use at the beginning of the day and lasts 24 hrs, gives me a bonus on knowledges.

i have charm person 1/day via aberrant dragonmark, but i cant prepare that or change it.

then a measly little eldritch blast.

i am excited to get some more invocations as we level, but for now i am kind of a one-and-a-half-trick pony.

Male Wargorged Fighter 1

Normally clerics can't convert domain slots, however I can spontaneously cast the whole array of inflict wounds spells, and my spells don't offer a save for half. ;)

Hey thanks for getting Mir back here.

Male Halfling Bard

You are correct Bludgeon. I'm using the spontaneous Domain Casting from the phb II. In addition to allowing me to spontaneously cast spells from the healing domain, I can choose to fill my domain slots with cure spells I could normally fill with domain spells. It will be helpful starting around lvl 8 I think, if we get that far. Cloistered Cleric 5/Soverign Speaker 3 will lower my spellcasting by 1 for a lot of spells but I will have a bunch of extra domain slots.

Male Wargorged Fighter 1

Cool!
I'm just a fighter, currently planning to become a Juggernaut, also known as the "bad-ass" prestice class for warforged :)

M Humanborn

ah yes, i am working on a juggernaut in my home game. i get kind of bored though, because we don't get into a lot of combat. i should have picked something else, haha!

Male Halfling Bard

If I remember correctly wasn't there an option in the races of eberron book for the warforged fighter that was pretty good. Well I mean the first two levels were meh but the 6th level bonus was awesome.

Male Wargorged Fighter 1

There is, in fact I took the racial substitution level and plan to take the 2nd and 4th as well.
The 1st level gives me 1d12 hp, +3 vs fear and +3 initiative for the fighter feat.
2nd level gives me 1d12 hp and a warforged feat (I'm thinking improved damage reduction) for the fighter feat.
4th level gives me 1d12 hp and a +2 bonus to damage with the slam attack and attached weapons (I would eventually love to have one) for the fighter feat.

That's why I can start with much needed 16 hp at first level.

Male Wargorged Fighter 1

Roleplaying low wisdom and charisma is a lot of fun! :D
Mirana, would you be ok if you actually found Bludgeon in the Mournland, and be his commander ever since he was repaired?

Male Wargorged Fighter 1

Also, I think I meant "halfling" instead of "gnome" in my reply, which was meant to be for Simon.

Hey guys, sorry for being away for so long, I lost track of things for a little bit then failed to notice that the other thread had gone onto a second page. I'm still interested in playing if you don't mind me making a late entrance. On the other hand, I completely understand that things are underway if you'd rather I bowed out.

Human Warlock 6; AC 16 (18 with shield); HP 39/39; Saves Str +2, Dex +2, Con +1*, Int +0, Wis +4; Cha +7; Init +2; Passive Perception 9

Doesnt bother me one bit. We haven't even left the first room.

Male Wargorged Fighter 1

Yeah, we just told our names and started to talk about the mission, so I think you're perfectly in time to join.

Well, thanks you two.

I've read through the gameplay and, pending Ashman's okay, I I'll have been disguised as serving staff to monitor what was going on before committing myself. That way I can just do a quick reveal and be in the action lickety-split.

Also I've finally pasted Nix's backstory in their profile and I was how you'd feel about changing their avatar to reflect their current form. I think it would be an interesting addition but I could see it getting in the way of realizing who I am.

Human Warlock 6; AC 16 (18 with shield); HP 39/39; Saves Str +2, Dex +2, Con +1*, Int +0, Wis +4; Cha +7; Init +2; Passive Perception 9

Bludgeon/Krinn: have you read Keith Baker's book series "The Dreaming Dark"? in the books there is a character named Pierce that is in much the same predicament as Bludgeon.

Male Wargorged Fighter 1

Yeah I did! Awesome read! I've been enamored with Eberron ever since.

Human Warlock 6; AC 16 (18 with shield); HP 39/39; Saves Str +2, Dex +2, Con +1*, Int +0, Wis +4; Cha +7; Init +2; Passive Perception 9

I accidentally read the second trilogy by him before the first. Makes things kinda interesting though.

I loved his first series and second one as well

Male Fetchling Ninja 10 / Shadowdancer 10

Wouldn't this be a good time for boss_smiley to chime in? :)

Yeah, I'm gonna hop in before it becomes completely unfeasible.

@Ashman, if you don't want me in please let me know and just write off my entrance. Turn Nix into a recurring enemy, a spy that is trying to beat the group to whatever they end up finding.

Male Wargorged Fighter 1

5 people is better than 4, and you being a changleing this was a perfect entrance imho :D
I was laughing while imagining Bludgeon's reaction :)

I would love to have you. 5 is better than 4!

So I'm already a big fan of setting up Bludgeon to be confused by not-quite-literal snarkiness. That crazy bot.

Usually I don't look into the faith's of my character very much but I think I'm actually gonna have Nix be a devotee of the traveler in some small way (thank you Eldramin for the prompt). The traveler's focus on change and mutability clashes nicely with Nix's desire to settle down and I think it'll be a nice bit of internal conflict as well as a motivation to keep adventuring.

Human Warlock 6; AC 16 (18 with shield); HP 39/39; Saves Str +2, Dex +2, Con +1*, Int +0, Wis +4; Cha +7; Init +2; Passive Perception 9

Heh, no problem. Changelings are widely considered to be the traveler's minions, as they act.

that said, have you read Races of Eberron? it has some cool stuff about changelings and their lives, outlooks, etc.

I haven't, I was really intrigued by a Dragon article from way back that talked about changeling culture. It discussed the tendency for Changelings to live numerous lives that differ drastically in just about every way, and I really like the idea of a race of people that were super fluid about everything. Will take a quick look at Races when I have a chance.

Male Wargorged Fighter 1

Heh, picking on Bludgeon is like shooting apples in a barrel, smiley. :D

Male Halfling Bard

I have a feeling that Simon has had waaaay too much sugar.

Male Halfling Bard

How much would a conqueror set cost? Not a fancy one, we aren't in Stormreach so we can't get any from the Gary Gygax analogue (Garay Gyriaz the elf in the bazaar)

Sorry for the lack of posting, had a full day.

Guys don't worry about not posting if life gets busy. I am still driving across country right now.

Oooh, what's the voucher for/worth?

Also, I set aside a bit of my starting cash for different clothing and I was wondering if you'd allow me to create double-sided clothing that just costs more than normal.

I'll probably go about town and see if anyone has heard of the Emerald Claw making any moves. I have a low Gather Information though, so if someone is better off, I'd enjoy the company.

Male Wargorged Fighter 1

My gather information score is... -3 :D

Male Halfling Bard

Since my character's family is here, would I be able to arrange room for my adventuring friends. Favorite in House does have it's benefits. Unless you'd like me to roll for it, although I'm not asking for a lot. My character' wife is in Stormreach since this is where he's lived for the past few years since his marriage.
