I made the character before we knew much about androids and I don't know that I've even opened any of my Iron Gods books, don't want to spoil it.

Dakkar was just assumed to have been built as a short android. Hadn't thought too much on emulating a race. Small human (little person) would be most appropriate.

edit: Lord Manticore, I was a bit uncertain. On those levels when we would ordinarily gain an ability boost (4th, 8th, 12th, 16th, 20th), you state that we gain an additional Evolution point. Is that instead of an ability boost, or in addition to? Given the wording, I was uncertain.

basically underneath some rubble from a collapsed tower, hundreds of feet below the surface of Kenabres. You fell down here during a massive demon attack on the city. You found some mongrelmen, who seemed friendly enough, although a bit nervous around a surface dweller. The resulting aftershocks caused the tower to crumble, and you find yourself under the tower, so to speak. You're not injured, miraculously enough; you are in a small space, surrounded by rubble. Your oxygen is getting low, but you can hear the other guy who is trapped and he has told you that he can hear his friends, who are trying to lift the last of the rocks from his position.

Yes, I have the Iron Gods AP issue which has more information regarding Androids.

edit: After making the Ability adjustments from the point-buy changes Dakkar pointed out in the Recruitment thread, Iacobus is now eligible for the Empathy Feat. I took Endurance mostly for thematic reasons, Iacobus is an athlete after all, but it doesn't do much for an Android; although I think I might have been intending to pick up Diehard later...
That said, Empathy also makes sense for him. What do the rest of you guys think? Lord Manticore, would you be willing to allow me to switch the two out?

Yes, but after that, the character is 'locked' no more changes before we get started again.

Do I conclude then that I am not aware that I am in fact an Android? If that is the case, would it be acceptable to you for me to switch out Endurance for Empathy?

It looks like we might be waiting a little longer for our fifth person, so at this point, I'm going to start moving things forward. There are places up the road that we can insert our fifth as needed.

He's a jump into action kinda guy, literally. Acrobatics +17. He could have felt tremors and come to investigate, somersaulting onto the scene... Maybe he's chased by several pack animals, undead, infernal, etc... (not wolves). Knowing he can't defeat them alone, he leads them to... help. Bringing himself to the cavalry. Not sure what you had in mind.

@Gabriel: The issue is trying to bring you into the cavern. Without giving away spoilers, the only other way out (that the party is not currently near), leads to an area a surface dweller would not have access to. I'm still thinking about it, just need a little time.

Not a problem. You are likely to make the Perception check anyway.

I don't know why, but the boards weren't letting me post in the game play thread just now. (>_<) So I tried posting in the discussion, and voila! So, if it's okay for now, this will be my post for the perception checks, until the boards behave themselves for me again.

I have to say that, it is rather annoying. I'm having the same problem with my other group as well; it makes it appear as if they are not posting for days at a time.

It's possible, Gabriel. That being said, I use Chrome at work and Firefox at home; haven't had any problems.

The problem seems to be gone. I use chrome as well, and this is the first time I've encountered such a thing. But, I'm back in the gameplay thread, so all's well! ^^ Just wish I coulda kept up with the good rolls. ;/

No, although you had heard rumors that androids were coming to Mendev to join the Crusade. But not Archie specifically. As far as you know atm, she is just another human.

Hahaha. Well, now that you are freed, hopefully you are feeling better. (^_^) In my earlier post, Sarasanna gave up the possession theory in favor that a rock hit Iacobus on the head. She had offered you a helping hand to climb out from the rubble if you would take it. :)

Are the rest of us able to hear Iacobus over grayfang, now that we are closer and he's out of the rubble, or is the network still patchy? ^^

Oh, I figured it was. I am trying to make him entertaining. Most of my characters are quite a bit less lighthearted than I am aiming for with Iacobus. Of course, at the same time, I don't want to make him a lampoon...

Right now, I'm going to play it out the way that Iacobus was handling it: his network software is glitching (badly), and he is not yet aware that he's an android. We probably just need to upgrade him to Lollipop is my guess. :p

He's a compact model. Fits in smaller parking spaces.

The part of Iacobus that still 'knows' 'he' is an Android is commiserating, specifically with Akkramar, but generally with all the other Androids, now that they are having to deal with Iacobus & his 'derangement'.

Basically, it is a more dramatic way of saying 'see what I have to deal with?'

I'll be out of town for Turkey Weekend, and won't be back at the house until sometime Sunday. So I finished an interview this afternoon after finishing the written portion of my Final exam...

And they offered me the job. All things go well, I will be starting full time as an HVAC technician trainee on the nineteenth.

The down side is that my free time will be drastically curtailed. It shouldn't be enough the I have to start paring down games, but it is likely that my posting rate will drop, possibly to as little as once a day or so.
