"Right here. Behind any of those rocks. She might be able to sense some of you still, but at least not all of you. Good luck." With that, the Fulsome queen turns back into sludge and drifts away.

Gorn-Rel takes his position to await the dragon. "Can anyone protect us from negative energy attacks?"

Aen takes out a flask and drinks it, his movements becoming quicker. [ooc](mutagen).

He then begins peering through his flask, looking for something to help.

"I can try", Na'shok offers.

If we enter initiative before it shows up, I'll ready to put up a wall if it tries to breath.

The party hides for a few minutes, but sure enough a very large shape flaps into the cavern. Over twenty feet long and equally wide, this ancient dark dragon sees the party in their hiding spots.

Gorn-Rel steels himself as the dragon attacks. Absorb Blow

The dragon's attacks a vicious and one would expect them to leave the prince torn asunder, but he is merely broken and bloody on the floor of the cavern.

After damage reduction he took 193 points of damage. Enough to knock him out, but not enough to kill him.

As an immediate action, Varda will use Fight On: With an order or a determined look, you spur a wounded ally to keep fighting. As an immediate action, you can expend one use of mythic power to allow a creature other than yourself that is reduced to fewer than 0 hit points to remain conscious and alive. The creature can't die from hit point damage until after the start of your next turn. You can extend this effect for 1 round at the start of your next turn by expending another use of mythic power as a free action. Though the creature can't be killed by hit point damage, any damage it takes still applies to its current hit points. When this ability's effect ends, the creature falls unconscious or dies if its current hit points or other circumstances would otherwise cause it to do so.

The bloodied, bruised dragon flies over, landing near Nash and attempts to breath pure dark energy. Take your ready, Nash.

Having prepared for the attack, Na'shok finishes his spell as the dragon lands. He thrusts his fist into the air and as he does a thick wall of worked iron springs up from the ground alongside him, shielding the party from the dragon's dark breath.

Casting an augmented wall of iron in a way that it will block the breath.

And Nash's wall blocks the dark breath from harming the party. Everyone is up again.

"Finish it!" exclaims Varda, "I'll help Gorn-Rel!" So saying, she hurries toward her hobgoblin friend and calls out, "Gorn-Rel! We need you! Torag, he needs your healing!"

Swift action and a mythic point to use Advance; everybody but Gorn can immediately take either a single move action of the character's choice or a 5-foot step for no action. Varda will use hers to move to H24, and then use a move action to get to F19. She'll then use Word of Healing to lay hands on Gorn from a distance.

Varda heals Gorn back from the brink of death while Aen fires off two shots that finally fell the dragon. Combat over!

Aen breathes a loud sigh of relief and calls out. "It's dead!" He then begin to look about the room.

After helping his companions gather the slain dragon's hoard, Nash gestures back the way the party came. "We should let the mud-woman know her problem's been dealt with."

And as if on cue, the mud nearby coalesces into a now familiar shapely form. "No need, I was watching from nearby. Most impressive. Is your goblin leader going to be alright? That was gruesome, even for me. If you want, you can have her corpse. I heard her kind make decent clothes and armor."

"That was challenging."

The prince begins to use the healing wand.

"Do you want to skin the demon-dragon, Nash?"

"I could come up with a use for it", Nash answers. "If we have a way to cure and transport it until we finish our task here."

Both of these tunnels lead deeper into the mountains, eventually branching into a larger network of caverns after traveling for 2 miles on a slight downward slope.A shaft extends above and below into darkness; the cave it penetrates is dimly lit by a pair of smokeless fires burning in braziers against the wall. A large winch sits to the northwest of the shaft, its thick chain hanging down into the gloom below. Columns of rock carved into statues of a winged, goat-headed
demon leer from the cave’s sides, where numerous exits and doors branch off. To the southwest, the cavern walls are carved with an increasing number of goat-headed demon carvings, while a sickly amber glow flickers from an opening at the far end of the cave.

While this temple has a few demons, none of them pose a threat and you dispatch them with no exertion on your part. Though you do find a small stash of items.

Though you eventually get to a door that reads:

When you open said door, an odd sight awaits you. An even larger breed of Glabrezu sits here, enjoying the company of four succubi. They stand at your arrival upset at being interrupted.

Aen and Gorn!

Aen peers at the door with a perplexed expression, and once the door is opened, he becomes even more perplexed. "Sorry to habve interuppted!" He calls out in Abyssal. "What are you the foreman of?"

"We are in a mine."

Gorn-Rel rushes forward to hammer the massive demon with his fists.
