I suppose it's a difference of approach. Bugbears scare people by waving spiky clubs in their faces. Orcs scare people by cutting their friends in half with an axe.
The longspear is a bit of a thematic stretch. It was pulled mostly from the idea of creating a central theme around goblinoids as a whole. Losing it wouldn't hurt them. I'd have them drop the morningstar still, and probably replace it with a Kukri or a Sap. If I were giving them a complete overhaul, I'd give them racial proficiency in the Net and the Mancatcher. Maybe the Bola too.
Then all of a sudden Bugbears have an underlying theme of live capture, which is both frightening and opens up a lot of interesting narrative possibilities.
It's definitely interesting. I guess I always associated live capture with slavers, but this version would definitely put a different slant on strategy. :)

Mark,
I was considering hopping into GMing a Pathfinder campaign on the forums and I was wondering a) where your magical map came from and b) how you create the tiny trinket-esque tokens for the game.
Thoughts or techniques shared would be appreciated
The map came from a google search for "forest map with grid".
The tokens were made with token tool from RPtools.net The learning curve for Token Tool is pretty small. I actually found it harder to get the program to run than to use it, lol.
For the map itself, I just create a Google Drawing and give everyone permission rights to edit it. Realizing I haven't said it yet to you, Alaric. If you accidentally move the base map, just center it both horitzontally and vertically by right clicking on it (you have to do it once for each). I always align it both ways in case I move it by mistake, happens more than I care to admit.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
I have been waiting on Shulme to post before starting the combat. I just sent him a PM. If I don't hear from him by tomorrow around this time, I'll go ahead and start it off, and he can catch up.
