Well, here's Alaric.
I'm looking forward to playing with you all, but I first and foremost need a good introduction that won't interrupt or skew the scene, and won't have the rest of the party immediately rolling initiative on me. Price and I have figured out a good connection to her; I'm curious to know if my character's ever met Cain. As for introduction, hoping that Mark will have something to suggest as far as that goes.
I've read the majority of the thread and enjoyed it. All that's left is to take a last glance at my background and sheet, fix my final mistakes or tweak it and then I'm good to smite. (Also still looking on a definitive about the bonus Thorn trait/feat :()

Regarding the Thorn trait and bonus feat. At first I was going to say no simply because you weren't with the group. But the more I thought about it I don't want to start a new player behind the others like that. So I'm on fence so to speak. So I'm going to say go ahead and take them, since I'm more interested in player's having fun (which I hope that will help).
I'm fine with him having them. we'll just say he's a super-fast learner. :)

As to knowing Cain. Depending on the story connection you and Price put together, you may or may not have met Cain. Actually, depending on the story, you may have worked with Cain some in the past.... which could be kinda cool. IF that's the direction you want to go, let me know, and you can tell me what Cain knows of Alaric. Given that you've read at least some of the story, you can feel free to use whatever info you have on Cain if it's appropriate for Alaric to know it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.
