I'm not sure what has been retconned. Has Mini-Balin still made his speech? Can we get an update with the changes?

I think the ret-con is Gwyn's actions. She wnted to bluff her way next to him and try to deliver the shank that way, right?

I could be wrong.

King of Talingarde

The retcon was Gwyn's bluff attempt, and Teon casting Enlarge prior to door opening. The speech was still made.

King of Talingarde

Before I adjucate the trip, I need to know if Gwyn is counting for flanking for the trip or not. If she does, Cain gets the +2 but her bluff is over. If she does not, Cain does not get the flank bonus but she may still be bluffing him (depending on if she succeeded or not).

Female Aasimar (Musetouched) Fighter 1/Rogue 1 HP: 16/16 AC 17/13/14: F+3, R +5, W+0 (+1 versus Charm/Compulsion), Per:+5, Init: +3

Until she knows he didn't buy it, she's going to try and keep up the act. Sorry Cain, no flank for you.

Besides, if his WIS and Sense Motive are low enough, she might just manage to pull it off, even with the low roll.

HP 49/37, AC 18, CMD 15, Fort +0, Ref +1, Will +5 Per +4 Channel 9/9, Grave Touch 8/8, Shirt 1/1, Vestments 1/1, Slippers 10/10 Current effects: Detect Magic, False Life, Mage Armor, Message, Spider Climb, Shield

If Cain Delays to coordinate with Teon, they can approach from either side at the same time, maintaining the Flank.

King of Talingarde

I'd be fine with that as well, but Teon won't get the bonus on his disarm. Just let me know.

HP 49/37, AC 18, CMD 15, Fort +0, Ref +1, Will +5 Per +4 Channel 9/9, Grave Touch 8/8, Shirt 1/1, Vestments 1/1, Slippers 10/10 Current effects: Detect Magic, False Life, Mage Armor, Message, Spider Climb, Shield

Well, he'd get the Flanking bonus, but not the bonus for attacking a Prone target. On the other hand, he rolled a 27. I think he can afford to lose a couple points.

Hey Gwyn, if you want to be extra awesome, you should totally Steal that fancy holy symbol instead of stabbing him. Then he can't heal, turn undead, or any of that other holy nonsense. :D

Outsider (AC: 22|12|20- For:+5| Rex:+6| Wil:+7- Per:+2Init:+3)

I am fine with that. I am gong from reach anyway, so he does not get an AoO. Its even more fun if I run in and take his sword, then Cain trips him.

Female Aasimar (Musetouched) Fighter 1/Rogue 1 HP: 16/16 AC 17/13/14: F+3, R +5, W+0 (+1 versus Charm/Compulsion), Per:+5, Init: +3

Sure, as soon as someone burns his AO for me. She may have 14 HP right now, but it only takes 22 points of damage to kill her, and if he smites he could make that. I don't trust my luck that much.

HP 49/37, AC 18, CMD 15, Fort +0, Ref +1, Will +5 Per +4 Channel 9/9, Grave Touch 8/8, Shirt 1/1, Vestments 1/1, Slippers 10/10 Current effects: Detect Magic, False Life, Mage Armor, Message, Spider Climb, Shield

Not then, while Cain trips him.

Coordinated actions are cool :)

If he's Flat Footed he doesn't get AoOs against you. Guess we'll have to wait and see if he buys it.

You might need to roll Sense Motive to figure out if you tricked him or not, though.

King of Talingarde

I'll adjust initiatives to help coordinate this, since only Grumblejack goes after Sir Eldon shouldn't be too much of an issue (I hope!).

King of Talingarde

Xanos, the Draugr can only move 30', and it's 35' to Sir Eldon. He missed anyway, but just letting you know he did have to double move.

Female Aasimar (Musetouched) Fighter 1/Rogue 1 HP: 16/16 AC 17/13/14: F+3, R +5, W+0 (+1 versus Charm/Compulsion), Per:+5, Init: +3

He said it was charging. -2 to AC, but can double move and attack.

King of Talingarde

Price was in the way of a charge.

Female Aasimar (Musetouched) Fighter 1/Rogue 1 HP: 16/16 AC 17/13/14: F+3, R +5, W+0 (+1 versus Charm/Compulsion), Per:+5, Init: +3

Oh. Boy I feel silly for not checking the map.

King of Talingarde

That's what GMs are for. Ruining people's fun :)

Shrug, he missed anyway. No biggie.

Thanks for the map image, that's what I needed. And I'll try again to see if I can figure out wth is causing no background to show.

Percep +4. Init +8 -- Hp 50/50. AC 18, t12, ff16. Fort+4, Ref+4, Will+6

Any chances of a sneaky AoO for Gwyn as well? Flanked, prone, and unprepared for a backstab... it doesn't get any better! ;)

King of Talingarde

I don't believe Gwyn has a weapon out to take advantage of an Attack of Opportunity. Though yes, this would most definitely be an ideal circumstance.

King of Talingarde

I've got to say, nice job on Sir Eldon. You saw the damage output he would have been able to do with his shield, imagine if he still had his sword! He's pretty lethal.

My home group fought him and did something similar. First round, everyone moved up to flank. Second round he dropped two players, they paniced. Round ended with him getting tripped (lucky 20 on it too!) Third round he stood up and they managed to knock him down by 1 point from AoOs.

Yah, I was worried that this was supposed to be a little mini-boss fight, considering who he is.

That is DANGEROUS damage output. Good coordination, guys!

Class: AC: 16|12|14 - For:+4 | Rex:+3 | Wil:+9 - Per:+15 Init:+7

Nice. I'm assuming he was Smiting there... or at least I HOPE he was smiting there. 8O

I may have to sneak into the Parchment 1 thread just to see how the other team fares against him. That dude was a beast.

The description of his Iomedae pendant... is that the goodie we are after?

If it is, guys, do you wanna roam the rest of this dungeon and have a little fun - in addition to picking up our bag of snakes obviously... and possibly giving Timeon his boss' head as a consolation prize?

Price wrote:

Aaaaand this right here needs to happen. >:D

:Channels Martha Stewart: Now, If we had some ribbons or a bow to make the gift more festive...

King of Talingarde

Just to clarify, he was NOT smiting.

Class: AC: 16|12|14 - For:+4 | Rex:+3 | Wil:+9 - Per:+15 Init:+7

And I just pooped myself. :)

Male Half Elf (AC: 15|11|14 - For:+4 | Rex:+3| Wil:+5- Per:+2Init:+3)

Then were was that damage coming from. That was brutal. And I think his holy symbol was probably what we wanted. And I agree we might as well clear the dungeon, grab our snakes and have fun with timeon.

King of Talingarde

1d6 (Shield) + 6 (1.5 strength from two handing it) + 6 (Power attack)

So 1d6+12 He did lose it's armor bonus though.

Outsider (AC: 22|12|20- For:+5| Rex:+6| Wil:+7- Per:+2Init:+3)

I thought you could not two hand a shield. Ok that makes sense.

King of Talingarde

Hmm, don't see anything specific that prevents it, but I'll look into it just to confirm. If anyone finds anything, please let me know.

Male Half Elf (AC: 15|11|14 - For:+4 | Rex:+3| Wil:+5- Per:+2Init:+3)

I know nothing specific, I just think it is one of those things that the boards were going on about a while ago before all the synthasists are better than fighters threats got started.

Percep +4. Init +8 -- Hp 50/50. AC 18, t12, ff16. Fort+4, Ref+4, Will+6

I recall there was a debate in the rules forum a while ago on whether some certain wording describing how you could use a shield as an off-hand weapon meant you couldn't use it as anything but. I don't know that it ever was resolved. Personally I don't see why someone shouldn't be able to 2h a shield.

And I'm all for clearing out the rest of the dungeon - after we loot him ;)

Male Half Elf (AC: 15|11|14 - For:+4 | Rex:+3| Wil:+5- Per:+2Init:+3)

Last Saturday, my wife and I were watching The Tenth Kingdom and the protagonists knock out an adversary that had been chasing them and held one of them captive. They flee after knocking him out and fail to relieve him of his hunting knife and magic crossbow. I turned to my wife and told her it was ovoise none of them ever roll played. They would have cou de graced and then looted him.

Class: AC: 16|12|14 - For:+4 | Rex:+3 | Wil:+9 - Per:+15 Init:+7

That, or the writers watch way too many slasher flicks. :)

Honestly, when you knock out the homicidal maniac, don't run away. Finish him off in the most expedient way possible. If you've got a gun - empty the clip into him!

HP 49/37, AC 18, CMD 15, Fort +0, Ref +1, Will +5 Per +4 Channel 9/9, Grave Touch 8/8, Shirt 1/1, Vestments 1/1, Slippers 10/10 Current effects: Detect Magic, False Life, Mage Armor, Message, Spider Climb, Shield

You absolutely can 2 hand a Sheild. In game it's a 1 handed weapon (which can all be 2 handed per RAW. Only Light weapons can't). Out of game, standard swat Sheild training involves some pretty awful 2handed Sheild techniques. (they are really vicious)

Female Aasimar (Musetouched) Fighter 1/Rogue 1 HP: 16/16 AC 17/13/14: F+3, R +5, W+0 (+1 versus Charm/Compulsion), Per:+5, Init: +3

All I have to say is I am soooooooo glad he failed his Sense Motive. That could have turned very ugly for our little blood-soaked rogue.

Male Half Elf (AC: 15|11|14 - For:+4 | Rex:+3| Wil:+5- Per:+2Init:+3)

Is someone thinking about the minor magic talent?

HP 49/37, AC 18, CMD 15, Fort +0, Ref +1, Will +5 Per +4 Channel 9/9, Grave Touch 8/8, Shirt 1/1, Vestments 1/1, Slippers 10/10 Current effects: Detect Magic, False Life, Mage Armor, Message, Spider Climb, Shield

I can make you an at-will magic item that casts prestidigitation for about 500 gp.

Male Half Elf (AC: 15|11|14 - For:+4 | Rex:+3| Wil:+5- Per:+2Init:+3)

Do you have crafting feats?

HP 49/37, AC 18, CMD 15, Fort +0, Ref +1, Will +5 Per +4 Channel 9/9, Grave Touch 8/8, Shirt 1/1, Vestments 1/1, Slippers 10/10 Current effects: Detect Magic, False Life, Mage Armor, Message, Spider Climb, Shield

Next level.

So who takes the cloak? I"m tempted to say Gwyn. She seems to have the worst saves. I'm open to other ideas, though
