My post rate is actually very slow of late as i'm in an exceptionally busy period :).

King of Talingarde

As Beatrix walks into the room, a red mist suddenly charges up from the holes in the ground, coalesceing into a mist-like creature, causing bleeding wounds to open over her body, draining away some of the blood. Then as quickly as it appeared, it suddenly retreats back into the floor with unnatural speed.

Beatrix takes 1 bleed damage, and 2 constitution damage.

The Red Mist forms once again, appearing between Beatrix and Morthos, this time going after the unholy warrior. It's appearance triggers a barrage of blows upon, starting with Tatya's curse, rendering the creature more susceptible to everyone's blows.

Next it's followed by twin strikes from torches between Morthos and Beatrix. Both torches find purchase into the creature, a particularly nasty strike from the Fallen. The torches themselves seem to have little effect on the mist, but as the fire strikes, a burning smell like that of blood aflame comes forth.

The creature shrieks in a strange tongue* as though in pain. It strikes at Morthos in a rage, a blood red haze enveloping him. Morthos takes 3 bleed damage and 2 con damage.

The creature seems once again able to move at a normal pace, it's previous speed having vanished.

Bostarg and Alzandaru are up, and well everyone else can go if they choose.

Attacked and missed Alazandaru, attempts to move below the surface. It provokes from everyone besides Tatya. Tatya frowns as the mist successfully retreats beneath the floor. "Alazandaru! Step aside and let Morthos move back to the doorway. He's not looking well." She grasps her unholy symbol as she eyes the antipaladin, whose encounter with the mist seems to have left him rapidly weakening.

Delay until Morthos moves to the doorway. Infernal healing is a full-round casting, so she can't move over to him and cast this round, but if Alazandaru will take at least a 5 foot step on his init, Morthos can move into his square; they can both still ready an action if the mist reappears, and Tatya can 5-foot and cast to stop the bleed on Morthos.

King of Talingarde

The mist once again rises from the floor, this time choosing to move under the ground first to a better position if unable to retreat. Alazandaru swipes at the mist as it comes up, but it encircles the torch, causing it's own attack to miss greatly.

The mist is still above ground at this point. It attacked Alazandaru and missed.

Doesn't everyone else act before the mist? Alazandaru's action finished that round. The init order is all over the place and i'm struggling to follow what is going on. If people are going to post ahead of the current turn can they indicate thus- perhaps numbering the rounds would help this.

Tatya finishes her incantation, and Morthos feels a surge of power from hell itself running through his veins like fire. "Like wrapping lots of tiny flaming puddings? But it would take too long. Could we not just use a torch to set the oil alight as we pour it down the holes? I don't know how deeply the floor is recessed beneath the surface." King of Talingarde

As you watch, the mist recoils away, both from the living presence above, as well as that of the touch of light emanated from the spell cast by Tatya. The space beneath does not appear too deep, an area perhaps one inch down with a 3 inch deep area below, though it covers the entire underside of the floor upon which you stand. Occasional solid points keep the two floors separate.

At this point the mist will continue to recoil away from you. If you like, we can drop out of initiative, and you can choose how to act.

Female Human Witch 3 / Rogue (Poisoner) 1

"Hmmm... don't like the light, do you?" Tatya murmurs thoughtfully. "We could use the lights to herd it to a corner and try to finish it with burning oil," she suggests.
