As Iolaire opens the door, the stench of animal feces combined with the smoky smell of cured meat evades the room behind it. It's obvious that the smell stems from the slabs of meat dangling from hooks attached to the ceiling. It's equally obvious that the biting stench was caused by two big, pale-scaled and pink-eyed cave lizard that might be set here as guardians of the room. Both turn their head simultaneously to the door, when one of them is already hit by Kendren's Acid Splash. It hisses, when the acid urns through its scales. Then realizing that the persons in front of the door are none of their masters, they set in motion to attack.

Seeing the two lizards, Kendren immediately takes action to try and trip them up, then moves clear of their line of sight.

Standard action: cast grease, spend point from Arcane pool to up the DC by 2 for a DC 17 reflex save or fall prone. It's a DC 10 Acrobatics check to move. If they fail the Acrobatics check by 5 or more, they fall prone. The greased area is the green area. Move action: step behind Arianna.

When Kendren's spell goes into effect, the lizard he hit with his Acid Spray just started to jump towards him. Forlegs in the air, it slips when it tries to push off from the ground, and lands hard on its belly.

The second lizard though seems unfazed by the magical attack.

Uldir bulls into the room, juking right in order to hem in the lizards and give his allies space to get in. Unfortunately, he's still a little rusty in his new form and isn't as graceful as he'd like, exposing himself to attack from the other. Jyoldukir's presence surges as the dwarf-turned-elemental ducks its head and tries to gut the lizard with gleaming ruby tusks.

Uldir uses the opportunity and hits the lizard again, which was just getting on its feet again and so isn't able to evade tha attack. It is still trying to gain its balance when Iolaire's glaive makes an end to its struggle.

Lann is hesitating, but seeing how the others made short work with the first lizard, he decides to stay out of the way of his companions and rather stays with the spellcasters, just in case that a new enemy might appear through one of the other doors.

After a quick check turns up nothing of interest the boar gives a small grunt and leaves the room. "Nothing of note, time to move on?" he whispers, before moving the flank the door once Arianna waves them over.

The Exchange

Cautiously Iolaire opens the door, ready to attack anything that might wait on the other side. The room though seems empty of enemies, even if it looks like the most comfortable room the group got to see so far in this complex. Stone chairs stand around a larger block of stone that obviously serves as a table for the inhabitants. Cracked clay jugs stand on it, and some dice made of bone lie between them, while stained pillows rest on the chairs. The room is filled by the warm orange glow of burning coals that hang in a copper bowl from the room's ceiling.

At the far side of the room, there's a door in the left corner while an alcove extends the room at the right corner.

Looking down the shaft, you see that it opens into a damp, natural cavern. Unluckily it's a bit too deep to get a good view on the room under you without using the rope ladder to climb down. But at least the ladder seems stable enough so that you can all use it without having to fear that it would give way under your feet.

Vigilante Persona RETIRED - killed Queen Ileosa and saved Korvosa.

Crouching at the top of the shaft Iolaire squints down the hole, doing her best to see what else was down the shaft. Unable to do anything else she gestures down the shaft and points to herself, then Alfred and then shrugs eloquently, making a back and forth gesture.
