Bunny misses!

Bunnies (and other Tiny or smaller creatures) can't flank.

Bunny Owner hits regardless!

Me and My Shadow both miss!

Young Whipper-Snapper hits!

And because we felt bad for the Johnny-Come-Lately:

A battered Teag takes a step back and produces an apparently empty (or perhaps clear fluid-filled) vial and pops the cork.

"Uh... That was just a warm up! Now you shall see the power of a true believer of Razmir! BWAHAHAHAHA! Marvel at the mayhem!"

Tawner AoO!

Did you confuse that blade you carry for a paintbrush? It has a edge, you kill people with it. If it doesn't have a edge, you can still kill people with it, it just takes a little more effort. You are in the WRONG line of work if you don't want people ending up dead.

Black Maiden finds the carriage filled with sets of fine silverware, well-crafted furniture, artwork of various types and other personal items of value.

Meanwhile, Dominic after searching the moaning Teag, remembers he tossed the wand aside when the party came upon him. Dominican goes to the spot and finds it, but instead of a gold and jewel-encrusted symbol of excess, the rod has become a dull base metal. Its jewels revealed as glass.

Quick note about vigilante's and alignment. Your character's real alignment is the one you have in your "heroic" guise. Your social guise is your cover alignment (i.e. Often serious, caped avengers of the people pretend to be rich, feckless playboys and such). In PFS play this means your caped personal has to be non-evil. Since neither of the Maiden's personas has an alignment listed this becomes a potential problem for me to judge. Hint, hint.

Under the effects of a detect magic spell (a necessary step in doing most things with spellcraft) the Maiden watches as the rod's magic ebbs away to nothing like a wand after its last charge is spent.

Sorry about listing it, Lucy is undergoing a complete revamp after this mission is finished so I haven't prettied it up. Lucy is LN, Black Maiden is CN... and is very close to CE on a good day. I'm well aware from the slightly spoilery info from the discussion that this is the townsfolk stuff and we should return it, but Black Maiden is super selfish... and Lucy would probably say that they are a bunch of rubes who let themselves get conned into following a false god and deserve what they get.

In otherwords, I'm counting on the rest of the party to act decently and tell Black Maiden to return the stuff! Or not, but she won't fight or argue if anyone tells her to give it back. ;)

Is taking the treasure for ourselves even a real option (like, that gets us more treasure on the Chronicle)? Lydia and Fomalhaut don't care much at all for pious peasant mobs; they might actually stand closer to Black Maiden than they do to Tawner on this issue....

This is a role-playing game, so long as folks are having fun you can do whatever you like. However, there are consequences for actions. That and there is only one open seat left on the whole of the carriage (a single driver's seat).... If it turns out that through play you discover that your character is more "good" or "evil" than you initially thought that character's outlook to be that alignment can change to reflect reality.

Technically speaking, stealing goods from people just recovering from mind control is a an E act by pretty much every measure and therefore a definite alignment violation (even if you are just stealing what you think are stolen goods) for those with a G (who exemplify benevolence, mercy, honor, etc....) in their stat block. It would deserve a mention on a chronicle sheet even for those PFS characters without a G, especially considering the party has already attacked their contact and then left them to face possible assassination. At some point when these actions constitute a trend, decisions need to be made. I'm just pointing it out now so that folks can course correct if they feel they don't want to go down the E road (which ultimately would by the current rules force a PC to retire from organized play).

The crowd still, a bit dazed and slightly amnesiac about recent events seem amenable, and soon enough a group of children have defaced the big statue of Teag with paint and the sweaty owner of the VI Inn is inviting everyone back to the ale house for a round on the ex-mayor and to introduce the party to real mayor--Mayor Wilson.

"Hidey-Ho neighbors." he says from beneath a swath of bandages wrapped around his face. "We can't thank you enough for helping free our little town from Teag."

"I believe it was High Senator Marcy who said 'to the victor belong the spoils'." He says handing a bag full of coin to Black Maiden. Then he adds in a whisper: "Don't worry your, secret is safe with me. I know all about obscuring one's identity."

the bag:
The bag contains 300 gp.

"Oh and here's some homemade sun block that I use when I'm out in my garden." Mayor Wilson says handing a jar of the stuff to Lydia.

"Now I'm going to go rest after taking just enough time to ingest some delicious willow bark tincture I have stored along with my strawberry preserves."

Where too next?

Technically, he's not a corpse (at least not for a few rounds after Tawner hits him). Though it is funny to see Tawner (read: the group's healer) fretting about how he's just killed the man as that man dies before him and no one checks. I'm sure he will feel terrible when he hears Teag's death rattle, realizes what just happened and begin angsting again. ;)

You've still got a chance!

"It was fiasco. One that I'll never forget. I stained my last good shirt in that mob...." Dibbler stops. It as if a magical lantern is lit above Dibbler's head.

He rushes over to were Teag tossed his sign-painting supplies and grabs a brush and some paint. Very carefully and up-side-down he paints the message: 'I survived Teag's take-over!' on the front of his shirt.

A villager walks by and says: "That's pretty nice."

To which Dibbler offers to paint him one for a small fee. The man accepts and Dibbler paints the same message on the man's shirt. "It's sort of commemorative. To remember your amnesia with."

After several other people ask for the same, and Dibbler has painted their shirts, the initial man's wife arrives and ask for one of her own. "I want mine to say: 'I'm with stupid'."

"Custom job. That'll be extra." says Dibbler.

Cannibal grove is the closest of your next possible destinations, but is so remote that riding in a carriage is no faster than walking. It is about a week's travel. Feel free to stock up on gear before leaving.

After six days of hiking toward the River Kingdoms' neglected border with dreary Ustalav the party arrives at the Restless Bear Inn on a gray and overcast afternoon.

Knock off the cost of rations, assuming you don't want to go through the bother of foraging (which adds to your travel time), or reading over the starvation rules.

This crumbling, moss-choked inn stands alone at the end of a wheel-rutted cart lane. Looming over its squat frame, a dense curtain of foliage marks the border of the Forest of Veils. The sign above the door reads “Der Restless Bear,” and it seems to refer to a mangy stuffed bear’s head that lolls upon the wall just beneath the eaves.

From the outside it is remarkably similar to the peasant farm shacks that are dotted throughout the area. These places always seemed to have their shutters closed, their walls flaking paint and looked sad and uninhabited as well as nearly uninhabitable.

On the inside, the inn is a one-and half story hostel with a claustrophobic ambience. It features plain walls, simple wooden doors, shuttered windows, and smoky tallow-fat candles that keep the interior in dim illumination. The upper area is a storage loft filled with dusty boxes and cobwebs. The only soul in the place seems to a wild-eyed, wild-haired, old human woman with a crooked back and gaunt face.

Dibbler is staying in Allenstead this time, as he doesn't want to have to replace the entire suspension on his carriage that such a trip would require (possibly twice). That and he is allergic to werewolf bites. He'll be in Allenstead waiting for you (with the meter running of course).

"Can I helllp you?" says the woman in a thickly accented voice as smooth as rough sandpaper.

"Odd, I've heard it's a nice quiet place to spend some private time. They say no one can hear the screams from there." He flashes Blanch a smile.

"Do you know the way, Blanch? And why do they call it Cannibal's Grove? I expect some gruesome story."

He doesn't believe in 'game balance'. Gandalf always lets him pass. As a feat, he has Exotic Weapon Proficiency (beard). The city guard often question him, just because they find him so interesting. His dice bag is woven from tarrasque leather. His TPKs end game lines. His blood cures moderate wounds. He once punched a flumph. Yes, you heard me. He belongs to a prestige class whose sole requirement for entry is just being him. ♬ He is indeed, the most interesting GM in the world. ♬

Heads up, we're in need of a dice action here.
