Hey everyone, I think I'm going to need to drop out of the game. I've got two things going on, the first being my computer's decided to bite the dust and I'm really not sure when I'll be able to get up and running again. The other issue is I've really been struggling with free time.

I'd really rather not drop out if I can help it but given the circumstances I think I'm really going to struggle to keep up with the game. Thanks particularly Woodsmoke for a super game and being a great GM, Hope to game with you all again in the future.

Sorry to see you go Asgrid - enjoyed the short game time we had together - cool concept and best eidolon I've seen in-game.

Hope to play alongside you again down the line.

I do think we need to add another player. Some sort of healer type would be really helpful, unless you all want Geedra to sort of pivot and start memorizing mostly healing spells. I'd be happy to do that if we wanted.

EDIT: I'm ok either way on the 'another player' end. Katie doesn't do a lot with her spells so I can pick up the Cures as we go as well--though she wouldn't have the depth of casting that a cleric would. She can also use wands of CLW.

Sorry to see you go Asgrid, but I completely understand real life taking the toll and demanding the focus. My life's still in a bit of turmoil myself so I can sympathize. Best of luck with everything. I've really enjoyed Red Hand and Serpent Skull as well.

I'll let the rest of you decide on recruiting another player. I could add in an NPC as well if you'd rather. I'll update tomorrow. Apologies on the slow progress as of late; a mix of the aforementioned turmoil and the sluggishness of the boards. Should be getting into better shape here presently.

I think I'd prefer a healer NPC, the more players the slower the gameplay. Four is a good number.

Healer NPC would work. We'll just have to be canny as a group on healing and such... will make our lives (and potential deaths) interesting :)

I'm running with Skäne not picking up on the perception and was engaged with the troll (essentially ahead of sequence to the warning shouts of the others).

Hopefully you guys don't think I'm being bloodthirsty for the Hel of it - just Skäne is a red-handed warrior facing what he perceives as a troll (a very worthy foe to kill or be killed by).

Hopefully he's just down and not... dead... Of course it crits now.

In either case, that was a hell of a good shot.

Oh right, with Asgrid having to head off I copied the loot document into a different file so I could edit it.

It's also up-to-date!

Hey guys, I'm leaving tomorrow for vacation for a week. I'll have the book and my laptop with me, so as long as the hotel's internet connection isn't terrible, I should still be able to get some posts up.

Hey guys, I'm building up the soon-to-be NPC healer, and was just wondering any class preferences or if you kind of just want the ol "healbot" cleric or what not. I'm particularly fond of the oracle myself, but I also think it would be quite interesting to put a shaman in the group from a party interaction perspective (and I'll admit I'd like to see how one plays). Whatever the case, NPC will be tooled to be primarily healer.

Shaman would be pretty interesting - also not seen one play in-depth.

I'm fine with whatever you think would be helpful/interesting.

Okay, I have the NPC ready so expect an introduction soon.

I also just spent an hour writing up a dramatis personae for the campaign thread, clicked preview, and it deleted it all. Serves me right for typing it directly into the text entry instead of in a word processor, I suppose.

Whatever works for you is fine by me, DM!

I recommend Lazarus. It saves automatically as you type so if things go DELETE you can go back and use it to refill the entire form.

It's saved me literally hours over my time ranting about things on the internet.

As for NPCs, shaman seems interesting for sure. I've never seen one before.

I'll be out of town until Friday night on a work trip. Taking my tablet but don't know about my posting capabilities. So if I'm unable to post, see you all Friday.

So after having been back with the folks for 10 months now (!) since my fiance and I split, I'm finally in the process of moving back out, so bear with me over the next week. Been carting stuff to the new place after work the past few days and most of my free time will be spent this week doing so with an official move in date of the 15th. Hopefully I'll have internet up and running very shortly after I move in. I'm going to get a post up tomorrow (Monday) after work and I'll see how it goes from there for the rest of this week.

My father is having open heart surgery in the next couple days, so there will probably be no posts from me until Sunday. If anything changes, I will let you all know.

Site problems indeed...was afflicted with an infected lymph node the past 4 days, and when I could get to the computer, I couldn't get the site to load properly. Lost a post once or twice. Oh well, got it up now anyway!

Just thought I'd share the Norwegian Elkhound, Fenris, that I got this past weekend. A long wait and a dip into the wallet but he was sure worth it!

That is a beautiful animal, woodsmoke! I’m a crazy animal guy myself. I’m more of getting a dog at the pound type of guy, but I love them all. Congrats on your new addition to your family.

I'm more of a cat person, but I have always wanted a Norwegian Elkhound. Was the perfect crossroads of being at a point in my life where I really needed something like this and happening upon a breeder in my state with an expecting litter a few months ago, so I kind of figured I should jump on it. He's super smart, already receptive to certain commands and all. Looking forward to getting into the meat of the training!

@Woodsmoke: Like the emphasis on yet :) Speaking of "meat" in the training - Only advice I can give is (if possible) raw feed him. Our boy is raw fed and has been super healthy on it. See if you can source locally or in-state, but PM me if you want more info on it.

Just a wee heads up to Woodsmoke et al - me and the missus are heading off to Dubai for the festives with my bro-in-law and family from this Wednesday.

I'm not back until the 30th of Dec, and while I hope to post if/when I can, I've no idea on how often I'll manage.

I'll hopefully get some posting done tomorrow, but we've a busy run-up until the flight Wednesday so wanted to give everyone the heads up now.
