Game Master Djivan

During the past decades, Westcrown has lost her god, Aroden. It has lost her throne to Egorian, the streets to criminals and the night to shadows. The struggle for survival is hard and bloody, yet some people believe not all is lost.

"Rather than meet the large creature approaching around the corner, let's instead hurry through the door that Shannon there is interrogating. As fascinating as the wildlife and vistas down here are, I'd as soon be along to our rendezvous without further sightseeing."

"Open the door, I will follow," Mazon snarls. "Drunk! Get up here! Rear-guard!"

Actually, Shannon does not manhandle the marking of the sword and instead opens the door, eager to be free of the sewers.

Ozer moves to cover the rear of the group, making sure the bugs don't follow and that nothing else get them. "Get a move on it, through the door."

Maxis climbs off the orc's shoulder, taking her hand down to reach the floor, and scrambles through the entryway. "Don't fight what you don't need to, Mazon! Come on!"

Mazon follows the others as soon as she hears the door open.

When you open the door, a slightly more decent corridor becomes visible. It's completely dark tough, and even with the rod Janiven gave you it's difficult to see further as 20ft.

As you move inside the corridor, a voice sounds from the tunnel behind the gate. It seems not only a large creature is approaching, it seems to be singing as well.

Jellyfish with rotten wine
Human clothes complete the dine
All mixed up with goblin loot
Who'll be the next to give me food?

Behind Mazon, ahead of Ozer, Ronwn scrambles through the doorway, attempting to make as little noise as possible.

'Big things skulking around in the sewers is bad. Much worse when they sing. I hadn't known that - and wish I still didn't.'

What kind of weird rhyme is that? Sounds like something some kind of ogre would say...uh oh.

Maxis takes the time to find the most protected spot, and holds one of his bomb vials at the ready.

Please dont let it be hostile...

Mazon bears her teeth in a soundless growl and moves ahead as quietly as she can.

Spoiler:
Stealth: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17.

Shannon waits eagerly to close the door quietly when everyone is through.

Ozer motions Shannon on through, the order reversed he stalwartly takes up the rear guard position.

Male Human (Chelaxian) Bard (Chelish Diva) (HP 11/11 | AC 11 | T 11 | FF 10 | CMD 10 | F +0 | R +4 | W +4 | Init +1 | Per +6)

He levels no argument against Ozer and lets the old soldier take the rear guard. Although intrigued by the singing, he would rather their pursuers encounter something that croons of its hunger.

Spoiler:
DM, out of curiosity, how skilled was the singing? Practiced? Good tone? Or clumsy and tone deaf?

Rhonwn:
The corridor you are currently in seems to be a little more decent as the sewer tunnels. No apparent exit tough, you'll have to move forward to see where it leads to.

Shannon:
The singing is quite clumsy and the creature has difficulties keeping a good tone, but there is a certain sense for rhytm.

Ozer:
You take a look upon the creature as it comes near: tentacles waving in every direction and stinking of garbage. It comes as near as possible to the gate, but doesn't seem to make an effort to go beyond. Yet it keeps singing, the creature seems to be in an awfully good mood.

Maxis:

Are you going into the corridor of the opened door with the others or not?

Ozer feels something is out of place, the sewers of Westcrown are not a joyful place and this singing heap of trash fails to fit into the schema of these depths as he understands them.

Perception Check 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
Knowledge Check - local 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Survival Check 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

Attempting to make sense of what the creature is and what it might be doing. Note: I made an error on the top portion of my Character sheet, my Perception should be +8, I have been using +4. Probably saw the Knowledge religion and used that by accident when compiling the stat block.

Huh. made a post yesterday, but it's gone for some reason.

Maxis recoils in shock and disgust at the aberrant entity, and gives up on trying to make sense of it. Instead he hurries to keep up with the others in the middle of the marching order.
