Janrose has some inkling of who Nethys was, but he probably should have paid better attention during his father's lectures.
Even a cursory glance is enough to tell that the Jenivere will never sail again. Only the fortuitous presence of a sharp ridge of rock near the side of the sheer cliff wall has prevented the wreckage from sinking entirely into the sea, for only the ship's stern seems to have survived the wreck. This portion is wedged at an angle between the cliff and the rocks, and each wave shakes and tosses the wreck alarmingly. It won't be long before the constant pounding ofthe waves dislodges the wreck and allows the hungry sea to claim the once fine vessel.

I will ready my great sword, because I don't think there will be much room for a lot of archers, and besides, why waste perfectly good armor?

"there's something up on the lower deck. also some one tried to anchor the life boat up to the ship"
M Gnome Animist 1
"Yes i saw it...unfortunately only got one fire spell left"
My character readies his staff, "And i am not that good at combat. If it is an animal though i could probably try talking to its spirit and see if we can come to an understanding."
Male Human Paladin 1
"I hear it, But what does it look like friend Malchi?"
M Gnome Animist 1
"How should i know? It is not in line of sight. As i said hopefully it is an unhostile animal that we can befriend."
if i have a common language with an animal (via a spell) could use diplomacy?
Male Human Paladin 1
"But you said you saw it?"
Female Half elf Rogue 1
did any one else notice the Life boat???
Female Elf Arcanist 1
Is there a position that I can reach to see the lower decks without going onto it?
Male Human Paladin 1
"yeah, I noticed the lifeboat."
I'm going to head towards the boat, slowly
Arinka Talathel wrote: Is there a position that I can reach to see the lower decks without going onto it? You could try climbing up the cliff face.
Janrose wrote: I'm going to head towards the boat, slowly Boat or Ship?
Janrose has his sword out.
Clambering up onto the lower deck of the ship will take a DC 12 climb check.
I want to go ahead and climb up onto the ship, careflly of course. . I'm lighter than the paladin and can quickly fire at whatever danger is inside as soon as I am standing. attacking doesn't require swinging a heavy sword, which may rock the ship. I can also calm animals as Malichi can.
I want to convince Janrose to let me in first.
How would I roll this?
I know climbing would be Climb: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Is this right? Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Male Human Paladin 1
Ship, sorry.
climb: 1d20 - 4 ⇒ (3) - 4 = -1
If I make it up I want to make a perception roll
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
For the future, is it possible to lend someone my bow? Would they be able to shoot it?
Male Human Paladin 1
yes, you may lend someone your bow, but it is a composite +0 bow, which means in order to use it well they must have a strength of 10 at least.
Male Human Paladin 1
Can I try again? If so, here:
climb: 1d20 - 4 ⇒ (18) - 4 = 14
Did I hear something about a life boat? Someone should grab that.
M Gnome Animist 1
Janrose, Knight of Erastil wrote: "But you said you saw it?" Sorry heard it.
We need to limit the number of people who go inside this thing. it is extremely unstable.
M Gnome Animist 1
I am not much for climbing or swimming but i think i'll try getting to the lifeboat if it doesn't look difficult. "Don't die." i tell the others.
however if it looks like it might be difficult trying to get the lifeboat i will instead stick with the team. Do the climb.
When i say difficult if it is just by the shore i'll get it. If it is around dangerous looking rocks or a ways out i'll let someone else.
My roll for either is going to be the same so Climb or Swim: 1d20 ⇒ 19
let us hope high

Female Half elf Rogue 1
I'm going into the ship. how high up is the entrance. is it low enough that i can use an acrobatics check to make it up there? or do i have to climb?
Female Half elf Rogue 1
if i have to climb i have a rope and a grappling hook
Female Half elf Rogue 1
climb: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Female Elf Arcanist 1
I shall climb up the cliff face.
Climb: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0
Female Elf Arcanist 1
Caasi, Klania and Malchi all clamber up onto the lower deck.
Once on the lower deck, the three companions see the source of the noise. A creature, very similar to the ones that attacked on the beach, but much larger, perhaps four to five feet in length, is battering at the door of the supply room with its heavy claws. Hearing the newcomers on the deck, it ceases its banging and skuttles in a circle until its small eyes are fixed on the three. With a clack of its claws it begins to move forward.
Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Caasi can act first, as can anybody who beats a 7 initiative. Janrose is apparently trying to once more climb up.
Seeing what it is and noting the blood, it isn't friendly. I shoot.
attack&damage: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 201d83 ⇒ 11
M Gnome Animist 1
Well even though i probably am to far away to reach it i am going to roll initiative anyway.
initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
also when it is my turn i am going to head back. Swim: 1d20 ⇒ 1
M Gnome Animist 1
Right i am probably not going to help
Male Human Paladin 1
initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Are you fleeing? I thought I had said you had climbed up. :) The lifeboat is a non-factor, so there was no point in you swimming.
Also, I don't think I am going to allow Caasi's bow to do 1d83 points of damage ;D

fumble check: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

I guess I am going to attempt to reach the deck.
Climb: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1
Female Elf Arcanist 1
It has a x3 critical, do I factor that into the roll or is it just
attack&damage: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 91d8 ⇒ 2
M Gnome Animist 1
Oh i thought i went somewhere else...Okay then i want to get in range (15ft) and let it burn with my last offensive spell.
Burning Hands: 2d4 ⇒ (4, 2) = 6
it gets a DC 14 reflex to half
Caasi looses an arrow at the creature (using the first roll) and strikes it for 4 damage (using the second damage roll). Meanwhile Malchi unleashes fire at it, angling it to avoid hitting the charging Klania.
Reflex: 1d20 ⇒ 1
The fire hits the large crustacean full in the face, but also causes Klania to come up short with her lunging attack. The creature snaps at Klania, and then its stinger curls up to strike at her.
Claw 1: 1d20 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 1 - 2 = 16 Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 1
Stinger: 1d20 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 1 - 2 = 1
Klania takes 1 point of damage.
One more arrow (extremely careful not to hit Klania) before I decide to shove metal in its face.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Female Elf Arcanist 1
I shall once again attempt a climb.
Climb: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (17) - 1 = 16
