It is a funny visual, overall. If we keep going after this adventure, we'll probably have to think of a way to accommodate the lack of a DPS machine.

Isamu will actually become a decent DPS at next level, as he'll get Fencing Grace which will allow him to apply his Dex to damage, and he'll start getting smite. He'll get even better at fifth level when he gets Precise Strike like a Swashbuckler. He just doesn't do much damage now. :D

I've caught the cold, and won't be posting very frequently over the next week.

I'm back! The sickness is just about past, too.

I'm sorry that the climax to this adventure has been so start-stop, all. In general, I'm sorry for the flaws in general organization, too—I've learned a lot from how this first adventure went, so if we decide to continue after the Writhing Wood, I can at least promise that things should be a lot less makeshift.

Arrogance. It led to some problems in how I planned things out, or, in all honesty, didn't.

All that said, if there's anything I can do to make the ending to this story satisfying, let me know. I'm mostly waiting on posts to describe what the PCs do next, and maybe some interparty roleplay on the aftermath, if you like.

I am alive, and I survived November. That was definitely overextending. Like, in a literal way, I actually had a moment three-quarters through November where I said, "S%&&, I have Play-By-Posts!" I hadn't opened Firefox in weeks. To paraphrase Ron Swanson, don't third-ass three things. Whole-ass one thing.

I am definitely going to post tomorrow. Busy today with cooking gifts and trying to get some testing appointments resolved. Next week I'll be doing my teaching observations, too, but that shouldn't be a big problem. I just need a day to get re-settled in my games. The next post will aim to kind of move things along at long last.

Glad to see you back! Hopefull life will quiet down for you after the holiday season. Or even during it. :D

Alrighty! There's space for epilogue, of course, and we can decide now if we want to keep going or end it here. The next chapter, if pursued, will be much more carefully outlined, and if we're going to keep going, this is a level-up point.

Alternatively, it's also a good point for the party to decide to stay or part ways—perhaps to take care of Trin, or to go back to the forest, or to just stop chasing aristocratic giants around the world to catch up with an old woman's house that's being used as a shoe.

Glad to hear it! We can consider recruiting for new players, of course, but it'd be nice to keep at least some of the original band if we're going to keep going.

I know that Garbage-Tier Waifu has been crazy busy of late, and it did seem like Trekkie was angling for Lily to return to the woods after all this. That said, it's the holidays. No hurry on an answer!

Yes, I might reach out to some of them, or I might just start a new line of recruitment. I'm a little concerned that the original advertisement may have been neither very clear nor very attractive to long-term players—"play whatever race you like" definitely attracts a certain attitude.

Okay, I honestly do have a reason for the silence this time—my computer has been repeatedly crashing since sometime after Christmas, and it's not restoring my BLEEPIN' sessions. I'm still around! It's just that between that and school starting, it's been really easy to forget about things. I'm still around and still planning to get back to PbPs soon. Just sorting out the chaos.

Ouch! Hopefully you find a solution to that problem soon.

Alright, so having reviewed my workload, I've decided to let this game go on "indefinite hiatus" so I can focus on writing, drawing, and classes. Honestly, I just don't have the time to do it justice, and I do a disservice to my players by being this irregular and disorganized when I really just don't have the time.

I appreciate you sticking with the game to the end, Almonihah, and I honestly apologize, since I can tell you're dedicated to this character and Isamu's a lot of fun. You've been very patient, and you really engaged well with the campaign premise. I hope you find a place for Isamu elsewhere, should you choose to re-purpose him for another campaign.

I'm making no promises that I will or won't come back to this in the future, when I have more time, of course. "The Travelogue" remains a kind of game I really enjoy. Maybe I'll try running it with Ryuutama or something, a game system more intuitively based on journeys and roleplay. You'll all be quite welcome if anything of that sort ever comes up.

It's been a ton of fun, everyone, and I'm glad we at least managed to see it through to the sort of ending this campaign is suited to—the end of one chapter, and beginning of a new one. That's a good note to leave off on.
