AS Noonan and Mumbar prove their utter unfaithfulness to the god of killy and healy NAri manages to hurt one of the cultists while Weep Not laughs at a guy who largely ignores her (makes his save).

Noonan's wild rampage is cut short as the bowmen back off and shoot him square in the chest 7 damage and 5 damage respectively.

The two clubmen watch the big man fall before approaching 5 ft. shift and lifting their clubs to bash the orcs head in.[ooc]6 damage. your low acs are killing me here I'm not even rolling all that high

The man in the top hat smiles as he lifts his gun into the air and casts anotehr spell.

"REJOICE MY BROTHERS FOR A NON-BELIEVER FALLS! I WIELD IN MY HAND I WIELD THE DARK TOUCH OF NETHYS'S WRATH! IN MY OTHER HAND I HOLD HIS VENGEANCE!"

Ouch. Time to start rolling good guys it's looking bad. I actually forgot about their buff until I finished the turn.

I tried to use the spear to attack from distance. Trying to use reach feature to limit access to his low AC. Keep them clubs away. Apparently this tactic is not a viable one. ;-)

He gives thought to tossing the spear and drawing his sword, but waits for his backup to respond, hopefully soon.

BAcking up and thrusting forward Mumbar manages to catch the wounded cultist by surprise and easily impales him pulling it out just in time for the man to slump to the ground.

NAri's attempts to put fear into the gunman fails and with a smirk he laughs.

"Ya can't bewitch me heretic I hold the will of NEthys in my heart and your DESTRUCTION in maaaah hand."

He raises up his gun and takes aim.

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26 Attack 1 on Mumbar targeting touch AC.
1d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 Damage

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8Crit confirm on Mumbar
3d8 + 9 ⇒ (7, 2, 7) + 9 = 25 Damage

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18 Attack 2 on Mumbar
1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 Damage

And shoots Mumbar in the face.

As the rest of the cultists move in to finish off the group the gunman raises the staff in his otherhand. The cultists halt briefly ready to jump at the merest gesture. Readying actions.

"Surrender now and CONFESS your sins to the master and you may yet be spared the hand of destruction and presented the hand of life."

Meh. Not really might as well just end this since I'm not in the mood for another 'Be a flunky of jerks' schtik I have Skull and Shackles for that.

Up to you guys how this goes. It doesn't have to be a TPK nor even really a "cultist" thing.

I'll be perfectly honest, I'm not really feeling this one anymore and I'm with Noonan about the whole dying or becoming a prisoner (which I was for the first 2 months I was in this game) schtick.

Now isn't this special???? hahaha, I didn't even get to use my "Grit" feat with that crit. The dice hate me.

Edit: Oh yeah for funzies: my HP is at -36. Guess I have a couple of extra holes in my head.

I would hope your touch AC is bigger then 8

Amateur Gunslinger feat, 1 grit point expended for immediate action, Drop prone for +4 AC (or Move5' for +2AC). Bumps Mumbar up to 19 AC.

But I get the feeling that players aint playing.

So a bit of retcon. He is feeling better... But I'll post in two hours.

As another club-wielding thug takes a tumble, Mumbar takes a split second to appreciate the glistening wetness on his spearhead. Casting his eyes about for the next opponent, he hears the distinctive sound of a hammer and cock resounding, without thought he drops to the ground as he feels splash of wetness swinging him back. Hard. A second shot rings out, accompanied by another serious tug on his much repaired hide armor. This one empathetically encouraged him to drop all the way to the ground.
