The two groups of Orks you can see, continue their quick rush towards the scattered squad,
closing the gap way to quickly for your liking.
The first two already charge at Anatoly, clubbing down at him with their sharpened choppers.
Ork Charge 37+10+20: 2d100 ⇒ (7, 55) = 62
Both swings are life-threatening and Anatoly is hard pressed to keep his head on his shoulders.

Two more Kommandos emerge out of the dust and smoke to the front-right of the Chimera in full sprint. One has
bundle of grenades in his hands, the other wields a giant axe-like Chopper. They will be on you in moments!
@Lind: They are PB-range for you and the first attack will be made against unaware targets, since they
didn't see you - yet.

"Dammit, Headache, help the Cogboy.
Don't want to know what Margret will do to us if we let her lover die!
Everyone else, roast those two - grenade-wielder first!"

Brazer follows his actions with a quick step around the edge of the chimera, opening up with his combat
shotgun at the closing Orks.

Headache grunts and hisses as the gets back up from the ground and rushes to Anatoly's side, evening the odds
against the two Kommandos.

Finally the Chimeras turret turns around targeting the two rushing Orks on the right flank, housing them with

Sorry for the slow response. I hope I am correct in assuming that since the Orks cannot see out of the smoke they count as unaware of the incoming attacks. Otherwise adjust my hits and damages as needed.

Anatoly swiftly adjusts the firing mode of the lasgun to its overload mode and tries to keep pace with the Chimera. He fires short bursts at the Orks that he can still see on the the Auspex, that perhaps others might not be able to acquire.

After the Orks start their rush:

Anatoly's voice comes over the vox-net a little tight with tension, <<Orks rush our position in tight group. Follow vector of shots.>> After speaking, and a brief pause to allow others to understand, Anatoly fires a short burst into the smoke once more.

The Commissar grumbles without activating the vox as he dashes over to the Priest with the downed Trooper. "Safety is NOT towards the chimera. Follow me further in. Towards the flank of the large cloud."
With that the Commissar leads Bolus further inside the cloud and towards the edges.
Going over the 3 round limit there but I guess the 2nd and 3rd shot might not be necessary with the work of the others? Anyway to clarify the given orders: The chimera is to use its speed to stay outside of the orks range and fire the sh!t out of them. The Commissar will stay inside the smoke at the edge of the cloud - staying quite and letting the orks charge past them. Once they ran past and gained some distance, chasing after the loud, firing and very visible chimera the Troops can fire from the smoke and put the Orks into a neat crossfire.
Of course some risk is taken if the Orks can't be avoided inside the Smoke, but getting out of the way of a charging stampede shouldn't be so hard if you go to the side. We're not a saturday morning cartoon x3

Bolus does as the Commissar orders

Liam scrambles out of the top hatch of the Chimera, jumping of the apc and runs over to the crispy trooper just as the Commissar and Bolus leave the cover and vanish into the smoke cloud.

But it proves difficult to treat a patient that just wants to get back into a bloody melee with Orks and is highly uncooperative.
You would probably have to wrestle him down first before applying proper first aid.
You can roll an opposed ST test to do so.

Meanwhile, Anatoly steps back step after step, spraying lasfire into the smoke, using his Auspex to target the remaining ork from the melee, scoring several hits, but the lifesigns doe not vanish, actually the ork seems to stumble forward, using the attacks as a way to orientate himself!

I think we're all done, yes?

If I can use my previous attack roll to arc my promethium jet up over my allies and douse the lone ork in flame I will. Otherwise I'm done.

@Choon: The nice thing is: flamers does not require an attack roll at all. You just declare an attack and the ankle of the cone and let loose. Targets inside the cone must test an agility test to avoid getting hit. If the cone is dead center on them and large enough (larger than their base movement speed), evasion is impossible.
I'll allow an attack above the heads of Liam&Headache since the weapon is mounted on a vehicle rather than hand-held. Usually it would not be possible.

While Liam still tries to pacify the crispy trooper, he reflexively duck low as a long, powerful stream of burning promethium is sent over them.
This is not the comparatively small stream he is quite accustomed to from Bolus hand-held flamer.
Nooo.
This is a solid 30m jet of burning hell coming from Margret, passing overhead by no more than two meter. The heat is intense and robs your breath for one or two moments, but MacVyger (!) has aimed well, and no actual damage is inflicted on the two troopers.

Caught in the hellstorm the lone Ork burns - but whether is he breaking, nor does he die! Those with goggles on him, will see him drop to the ground and put out the flames by slapping his burning body parts against the ground repeatedly. This is the yellow one.

Then the relative peace is over, and the Orkish warcry echoes from within the cloud that penetrates your very souls.
"WAAAAAAGH!!!!
Anatoly warns the squad from the approaching doom and sends tracer fire into the front ranks, knocking one down, which is quickly left behind by the others.
Marked orange for lone Ork. The others are double-packs.
The mad charge brings the Orks nearly out of the smoke, the first charging, madly grinning Orks already emerged on the right flank. They are fast!
The charge is greeted by a hailstorm of lasfire from the two multilasers of Margret and Longleg, using their auspexes and Anatolies tracer fire for great effect, scoring hit after hit on the onrushing ranks, slowing their advance noticeably.
Your new CO tries to join in with the Stubber, but the gun jams after the very first round with an audible *crack* causing along stream of selected swearing.
"Oh damn you frikkin box of rotten screws wielded together by a blind grox in a backwater world full of xeno piss!

The crossfire of the two heavy weapons, that are designed for this very task, take a terrible toll of the charging brutes.
One group of two near the center of the mob ceases to exits, eradicated and vaporized by the energy that washes them away.
The last shot of the salvo, finally ends the suffering of the burning Ork that once was in melee with the squads CC expert (read: madman).
What remains is the biggest lifesign of the mob and the two-ork grp at the right flank and a lone signal to the back, limping after the others.
Nice rolls of your big guns. You're up.

Liams analytical mind quickly makes a summary of his situation.
A: He is trying to treat a patient that is berserk, either naturally or chemically. He would need to wrestle him down (and in the current stage the patient is likely to be a lot stronger), the patient wants to get back into the fighting, AND they are under fire.

After a moment, he comes up with the following solution.
B: No, hell no, all the hell no's he has in him at the moment in fact.

Instead he moves to the closest cover.

Anatoly's head snaps around at the sound of the misfire. Though none can see it, the displeased narrowing of his eyes can be heard in his voice, <<With your permission I will handle misfire, sir. Prepare to fire again.>> He does not actually wait for permission, simply fetching the stubber a solid thump with his manipulator mechadendrite, <<By Omnissiah's name, you will not fail us this day.>> A quick burst of binary chatter, and there is an audible ka-chunk from the weapon. It cycles a somewhat mangled shell out of the chamber, and a new one settles neatly into position. <<That should do job, sir.>>

Half action to use Technical Knock.

Even as the heavy stubber is cycling its fresh shell, Anatoly is lining up his next shot. Aiming at the larger ork, he squeezes the trigger as he was taught during the hated 'basic training', but the las bolt goes wide.

Sigh, getting out of the way doesn't help if we don't have Headache with us ~ thats the only reason the Commissar met up with Bolus. Oh well, lets take this ingame.
The cloud having a diameter of 6m the big guy charging past us should be at point blank range of us so lets use that to our advantage.

"This is not going to plan. Let's have Trooper Gerring help us out. The weapon, please."
Taking the Melta from Bolus the Commissar wastes no time - letting the thing get too far for a shot from his untrained hands - he simply points it roughly in the direction of the largest ork heat signature rushing past them and pulls the trigger.

Ready Action - take Melta
Attack Action - fire Melta
Should leave Bolus with the half action needed to flame the ugly frakker too, since handing the weapon to the Commissar should be akin to a ready action
