He looks human, but he looks 'different' almost corpselike.

You are hasted but also fatigued so you can't run or charge?

I'll rule that you can get off a full volley of arrows and 5' step or regular move plus haste mod and 1 standard action and 1 attack from haste.


Uuranx and Alamin drop the last of their boney foes and make a 5' step towards the spellcaster. Randtam's Archons land a light attack on it causing some apparent damage, while his nerve breaks and he runs out of the area screaming in terror. Vraxel does something amazing to soon be posted and then the spellcaster will do his thing.

I did look at the revised post. I am not sure what you want me to see. I rolled 2 fort saves. Missed the first and was panicked ran away. Passed second fort save so loss of 2 con. Loss of 3 con total. Am I not in correct order of attack? Hoping magic shield only stops magic missiles?

Round-Randtam fails save and runs away out of the tower
Round-Randtam runs back into the tower as his panic fades
Round-Randtam is now in the tower/gas and fires a barrage of magic missiles that are deflected away from the man/thing. FORT save for CON.
Round (current)-Randtam (still in gas) sees Uuranx swing away at air. FORT save for CON.

A few notes:

Archons have been firing light beams at the man-thing while visible the entire time. They can fly, so as the man-thing flew away they could follow. They can't see invisible (from what I saw) but they can detect evil, but as the spell not as a paladin so it would take 3 rounds to find what area the thing is at to attack.

The man-thing is in the cone of the tower so would not be visible from outside it, forcing Randtam back into the gas if he wants to attack. Also, haste gives an extra natural/weapon attack during a full attack action so no extra spells or wand shots.

Only Uuranx has determined what 'square' the thing is in (will have to re-detect next round) and is able to attack with a 50/50 miss chance.

Does all this make sense?


Current situation:

Alamin and Vraxel have vacated the tower, escaping the deadly effects of the gas.

Uuranx flies in the middle of the tower cylinder desperately battling away at the man-thing.

Randtam can revise his last 2 rounds if he likes or stick with what he has done so far.

Once I hear any change from Randtam, I'll post the next round.

Randtam never went into the tower. He watches outside And does nothing. Thought MM was definitely away from gases. So Randtam sits outside the tower and does nothing. He cannot see anything. So if Randtam does see the bone man again then he will fire his MM (once)and see they do not work. That will be my next round since that was what I thought was happening.

If a hit take 2d4/round for the next 3 additional rounds.

To melee you will need to detect evil (25% chance) and then attack (50/50 chance).

I think you should save your magics Randtam; this battle will be over soon one way or the other. I can't imagine that thing has much magic left and I don't believe it will be able to withstand Uuranx's fury if he finds it.

Increase chance to find 'square' he's in to 40% with both detects running.

You can try to detect this round but if you find can not attack until next round. Detect magic is a standard action vs. detect evil which is a move action for a Paladin.
