The charging monk is opposed by Uuranx's falchion and the falchion wins the contest as his shattered form falls to the ground. Balator is only able to connect with a single blow, but it is enough to end the life of the monk while the skeletal creature staggers but does not drop as another blast of holy light hits it. Randtam fires of a brace of magic missiles at one of the skeletal creatures in the distance; his tentacles continue to crush the life out of the grappled men.

The general area appears to be a series of monastic cells including the small rooms running along the hallway leading South. The hallway continues on into darkness and what appears to be a flight of stairs leading down into another area. You are not exactly sure where the skeletons fled to, but you believe it was to the South.

If we tarry we will allow the defenders of this place to prepare. If we push forward we may catch some unawares, although I would guess those mohrgs will alert anyone or any THING close. Grab the loot and head south.


The hallway continues for almost 100' before a flight of stairs descends 10' into a room filled with tremendously complicated alchemical equipment. The equipment crowds the wooden tables in this chamber, while condensing some thick, black fluid. Iron spikes impale several drained corpses to the walls, their bodies sprouting leaky hoses filled with vile ichor.

The room runs about 70' E/W and at the far Eastern side of the room there is a door.

All DC 35 perception:
Two of the large apparatus on either side of the stairs have a strange rickety construction of glass tubing, metal, and wood which conveys to a sturdy crystal dome within which floats a brain and two human eyes.

Randtam DC 30 perception:
A tall form that looks like a coat rack lies close to the door on the far East side of the room. After a moment you realize that it is actually a very thin (man?) in a cloak that is under an invisibility spell.

Randtam sees his missiles drain away harmlessly as they impact on some type of magical shield that protects a gaunt skeletal figure covered in a thin layer of dry leathery skin and pale blue lights where its eyes once were. The undead creature is finely dressed, including a well crafted cloak and a bandolier filled with what looks like various alchemical components.

Uuranx uses the spell energies impact to zero in on the target, letting his innate senses get him close, but his blade is thwarted by the creatures defense.

Balator knocks his golem permanently out of commission with a ferocious fusillade of sword strokes.
