Male Duergar Alchemist (Vivisectionist) 1

@DM Doomed - Sorry, I forgot to make my save. Would you like it in here as I can not edit now?

@Ryujin - You know you do not have any ammunition yet, right?

HP 14/20, AC 17 T 17 FF 10, CMD 23, Fort +5, Ref +6, Will +5,

Well got my post in, that was a lot to process in a short amount of time (or else I'm slow!) and then my first post got lost when my internet flaked. Thanks for a great start to the games!

@Zar'zan When you are driving you always have ammunition

Male Changeling Fighter 1, Monk 1, Rogue 1, Ranger 1, Actor 5

Ryujin, I saw when you laid out your course on the map. Vicious way to start, boxing in the small guys and cutting of the folks behind you. Nicely done.

I feel like there's a joke here that I'm missing...

Male Duergar Alchemist (Vivisectionist) 1

Ah, my apologies sir. I mistook your text for something else.

Cutting off all but my teammate's chariot too (well hopefully at least)

Yes, please.

Big money, big money, no whammy, no whammy, stop...

Fort 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Doomed - what are the cannon stats? - are they as per UC?

Will have an action tonight regardless, just waiting a little on whether Cedrica launches at me ;)

Male Changeling Fighter 1, Monk 1, Rogue 1, Ranger 1, Actor 5

Lorth

You don't know, you haven't seen one used yet. They don't really look like regular cannons at all. Much too light weight. If you'd like you can investigate.

Give me a Knowledge: Engineering, Disable Device or straight Perception check. What you roll will determine the difficulty and type of knowledge you gain.

HP 29/29; CMD 21/17; AC 20/14/16 F:+6 R:+3 W:-3

Whoever marked my x on the map and moved me, thanks, I had to leave the house when I wasn't quite done with my post earlier and posted it unfinished since I wasn't sure I'd be back in time. Also posted my proper stats to the game thread since it sounds like I've now made myself a target :)

Edit: Looks like I'm dazzled this game since us light sensitive folks never bought our riddick glasses (that I know of). Can't edit my original post but it's -1 on my attack and perception. Should still hit on a flat footed opponent I believe. I'll use the penalty from here on.

Profile not in use

Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8 - I'll roll any information gained or not into the first round post I put up tonight.

Even if I find out nothing, I think I'll use the age old adage of pressing the button and seeing what happens ;)

Male Changeling Fighter 1, Monk 1, Rogue 1, Ranger 1, Actor 5

Lorth

Spoiler:
It's a long metallic tube with two handles on the back, mounted on a swivel/pivot. It has a crosshair at the end of the tube for aiming and some kind of loading mechanism in the base. A magical display reading AMMO COUNTER reads 1. The trigger is like a bike break requiring both hands to squeeze to fire.

HP 22/22, AC 17/11 T/16 FF, CMD 16, Fort +9, Ref +5, Will +6

Is Severus out? Cause he seems to think he isnt. :)

Just want to make sure my commentary is accurate.

Sir Loric the Righteous wrote:

Only if he counted as flat foot is he out. Does he have uncanny dodge is big question.

Cheliax

as i understand it, severus will be flatfooted if the orc beat him in initiative.

if yes, then just ignore my last post in the IC thread.

Profile not in use

Well, one wagers I'll find out what the cannon does soon enough :)

HP 17/18, AC 18/14/13 CMD 17, Fort +1, Ref +7, Will +0,

That's not a cannon you're trying to inspect Lorth :o

edit: Initiative order is quite important with this amount of characters. Stating your actions early could lead to some nasty surprises but I hope no one is delaying because keeping the pace will be hard enough with 16 PC's.

Male Duergar Alchemist (Vivisectionist) 1

Looking at the initiative list shows the GWRRR'RRR did have the higher initiative. He be a ragin cajun orc.

Edit: And there is a map link under the Gameplay section.

And DM Doomed stated that he rolled initiatives for us Severus. The list is the order he came up with. First being first, last being last was my understanding.

Lorth - I don't mean to be a pest, but shouldn't your attack be one higher?

HP 22/22, AC 17/11 T/16 FF, CMD 16, Fort +9, Ref +5, Will +6

Speaking of being a pest about someone else's stats, Samson still has a 23-pt build. In PF, 1/2 orcs just get +2 to any one score. Just like a human. That means he's paying 5 for one of his 16s and 10 for the other. Paying another 5 for the 14 should use up all his points, but he has a 10/11/12 in the remaining ones.

I noticed his was off because I did a similar build, but my lower 3 scores were 8/10/12 instead of 10/11/12. ;)

Zar'zan the Big wrote:

Did you account for light sensitivity (-1 hit)?

Does he have something special that gives a Halfling Light Sensitivity?

Male Changeling Fighter 1, Monk 1, Rogue 1, Ranger 1, Actor 5

Severus, the Map will always be linked in the Campaign Info tab, along with all of the current round special rules. I know how annoying it can be to hunt through previous posts to find links, so I put it there for convenience.

Persistant Conditions: No ambient light, Uneven Floor (group 2 only) Current Map Loot Sheet

Everyone-

Obviously there was no surprise round. Everyone was going in expecting a fight, and no one was trying to be particularly stealthy about anything so far. As such, no one is flat footed. You were all on-edge and ready for people to swing at you even if you were confused by the change of surroundings.

In the case of Gwrrr vs. Severus, even though Severus was not Flat Footed at the time, he had not yet been able to go into a defensive stance (Fighting Defensively/Combat Expertise) by the time Gwrrr swung at him.

Severus had a 23 AC. With his Light Sensitivity, Gwrrr hit a 22. A near miss.

Severus you're still up. Good job.

Male Duergar Alchemist (Vivisectionist) 1

Um...sorry to be a pain, but I don't believe GWRRR'RRR included his light sensitivity into the roll.

HP 17/18, AC 18/14/13 CMD 17, Fort +1, Ref +7, Will +0,

-Skill check to get back on board, Fort save if you fail and get trampled- sounds like fun to me (unless, of course, Lorn gets knocked out)

Oh yeah, I do remember reading that post now.

Edited my earlier post. Thanks for helping me out folks.

Severus is still up.

Male Duergar Alchemist (Vivisectionist) 1

No problem. I think we were all just waiting to see your ruling on the Flat-Footed condition.

And Zar'zan might be a bit despicable, but I would like to see the match played out fairly otherwise.

Doomed - I forgot to ask last night about escape artist checks for the manacles. I thought about after going to sleep, is that possible or do you need the key?

I'll post my reaction after you rule on it

You guys have been waiting for this fight for two weeks. Making you flat footed when it finally started would just be mean.

Yeah, but I doubt we were expecting to suddenly have ourselves teleported into a blizzard. And game mechanics are game mechanics. Its your right to change them, not ours.

Male Human Samurai 1 (Order of Cockatrice)

Is Gwrrr'rrr doing this fight naked because he should have a lower skill total if not (Breastplate has a minus 4 to balance).

(HP 16/16, AC 12 CMD 12, Fort +5, Ref +2, Will +5)

I don't know how much it matters, but he has an agile breastplate.

DM DH: Do things like driving the sled and firing the cannon prove AoOs? And how do you want us to handle an AoO?

HP 22/22, AC 17/11 T/16 FF, CMD 16, Fort +9, Ref +5, Will +6

agile is just for jump and climb i believe

Gwrrr will have to answer that one. I haven't checked.

Gwrrr?

Driving, no.

Gunning, yes (it's a ranged weapon and follows all the normal rules)

Male Elf Alchemist (Clone Master/Preservationist)

Woops that bomb missed I believe. Correcting...

EDIT: Fixed and on the map now. Sorry monkey.

Round 1 ends in 3 hours

Male Drow Noble Dawnflower Dervish (Bard) 1

Loric, you sound like Gilderoy Lockheart. It's appropriately awful. Great roleplaying. Also, please roll an sense motive check if you're going to call my bluff, to see if he's even aware in the first place!

HP 22/22, AC 17/11 T/16 FF, CMD 16, Fort +9, Ref +5, Will +6

my bad. i missed that you had bluffed being able to see. :)

sense motive:
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18

phew. ok. my commentary stands. hehe.

Hehe, I thought the same thing.

You know the bard or rogue archetype (can't remember what it's called) that lets you start a rumor and everyone takes it as true? I wanted to make a charismatic guy that is a terrible fighter but has good Cha and bluff and starts rumors that he's this great warrior a la Gilderoy Lockheart. Just scare everyone into not wanting to fight him. :-)

HP 29/29; CMD 21/17; AC 20/14/16 F:+6 R:+3 W:-3

Yes, in armor I lose 4 on acrobatics. DM DH: Please take that change into account! My balance check would be 11 this round, not 15.

If Sev wasn't flat footed and I didn't take him down, I'm not dropping my rage after missing.

(HP 16/16, AC 12 CMD 12, Fort +5, Ref +2, Will +5)

I had to sneak in one more post before the round ended. :-)

Male Gnome Alchemist(Grenadier) 1

I feel like there should be a perception check to understand Zib :P I imagine he talks so fast its like a squirrel on caffine...with more boom

Ever seen Over the Hedge? I saw that a while back and thought it was hilarious when the squirrel was in Matrix-style bullet time after drinking a Coke.

So Zib, your Disable Device Check was to separate our sleds? I somehow missed that when I read your post originally.

DM DH, is a 17 Disable Device enough to disengage our sleds?

Male Gnome Alchemist(Grenadier) 1

I hope it is, it only now that I should of have taken the master tinker gnome trait, By back story has no reason to have the hatred trait but too late now :P

As a side note it sounds like the drow is forming a crush ;)

Mel wrote:

I also thought of the squirrel from Hoodwinked

Male Changeling Fighter 1, Monk 1, Rogue 1, Ranger 1, Actor 5

Sorry about the delay folks. I was supposed to have work tonight and my schedule got changed at the last minute. Having an unexpectedly free evening resulted in being pulled away by friends. I'll get the round 1 wrap-up done within the next couple hours.

Great job so far everyone.

Male Drow Noble Dawnflower Dervish (Bard) 1

A drow crush is a very strange and complicated thing in juxtaposition to a regular crush. *amused*
And no problem Doomed! You're doing a fantastic job with running this, and I haven't had so much fun with a game in so little time for ages!
