Male Human Rogue (Swashbuckler/Scout)/2

Genisen enjoys the "Good Cop/Bad Cop scene". Its always his favorite in any "guardsmen serial drama" plays in the park.

Aasimar Cleric 2 {Initiative +1, Perc +5; F/R/W 4/1/8; AC/T/FF 14/11/13; HP 16/16}

"these are some of the girls needing care. If the lordling asks, they wandered in off the street, and you were beholden to care for them, regardless of their legal status. All true."

Serendipity helps lead the girls in that were brought with them and gets them settled along one wall and trying to make them as comfortable as possible.

--I can offer you my personal support, but that is all. I can not speak for the temple, of the people who come here, officially. I'm sure that words of your dramatic rescue of the women will spread and people look kindly upon you. That said, until I know you can defend yourself, I will not endanger my fellow priests and worshipers.

M Human Paladin 2; Init +2; Per +0; HP 24; AC 18, T 12, FF 16; F +5, R +2, W +3

"Right. Well. Y'r after sayin' as 'ere might be some a' th'lords in a' city as're 'pposed t' Lord Redwall. Ye've an idear a' who'd be good t' talk to? Like as some kin' a' patronage'd be right good f'r us t'help un'ermine Lord Redwall an' give us a place t'hide t'boot."

Male Human Ranger/1, Rogue/1

I kinnot say dat dis done be what I done be good fer. P'haps one a y'alls 'd be bett'r at talk'n wit dem dat dunnot like da Lord Deadball. We's gonna succeed, but we needs to make sure we gots all da help we kin.

Male Human Rogue (Swashbuckler/Scout)/2

Genisen is amused at Durnak's names for Lord Redwall and starts to brainstorm new ones in his head in preparation for a drinking contest later. leadballs, headstalls, spreadall. Genisen's gaze is far away as he chuckles internally at the names.

Female Elf Transmuter 2 {HP 12/12 | AC 13 FF 10 T 13 CMD 15 | F/R/W 0/3/3 | Init +3 Per +2}

"Perhaps there's some task we can do to prove ourselves?"

Annastriana wrote:
"Perhaps there's some task we can do to prove ourselves?"

"Good idea." he smiles up to Annastriana "I assure you we can complete any task you give us." he states as h hopes this might convince the priest.

"Well pass these fresh baked goods among yourselves. We will avoid a confrontation with Lord Redwall as long as possible. Just remember, a great man once said: All this is necessary for evil to flourish is for good men and women to not endanger their priests and worshippers."

Luther moves among the temple acquainting himself with those within as if he was visiting royalty. It appears he hasn't spent much time in temples and you would think there is no way the vacuous smile plastered on his face could be genuine.

I am sure that memorizing entire quotes was quite tedious. I am glad I learned just the beginnings of many of them so I could modify them to suit the occasion.

On to the next temple?

As strange as this sounds, why not send of the best actors among you to the temple of Asmodeus and see if you can hear the arch-diabolist's take on the matter. I'm sure he'd be a good source of information. For obvious reasons the man makes me uncomfortable.
-She pauses and continues A task? You want to fetch my missing muffin? Actually, if you wish to help the people of the city, why not ask the guards about any unsolved crimes or wanted persons? Perhaps they could point you in the right direction.

Male Human Ranger/1, Rogue/1

Now den, I just thinks of a'nutter thing. Iffn we's gonna need da help a da peeple, den p'haps we kin start gett'n da peeple ta sa'port us. We kin buy em food 'n help em wit prob'm dey gots. Iffn da temples kinnot help us, den we gots ta git da people. Iffn we gots lots a houses where'n we kin hide from Lord Deadball, den we kin strike em quick 'n hide when da incomp'tents dey gots as guards come to find us.

Luther quotes some words of wisdom about guerilla warfare. "We need the active support of the people. The enemy advances, we retreat; the enemy camps, we harass; the enemy tires, we attack; the enemy retreats, we pursue."

Adding some words of his own, "Since the enemy already advanced and we already retreated, now as the enemy camps we harass. We should probably send some of our more diplomatic folks to the Asmodeus temple as the lady suggests to scout the opposition, it is a wonderful idea."

"But who?" Krol asks as he looks up at Luther and around at the group, wondering who could pose as a follower of Asmodeus.

M Human Paladin 2; Init +2; Per +0; HP 24; AC 18, T 12, FF 16; F +5, R +2, W +3

Fearghus scowls at the thought of making nice with Asmodeus or any of his followers.

Luther scraches his chin in mock thought, "Who is the best qualified person with an eyepatch or a scraggly, unwashed beard to lead the visit to Temple Asmodeus?"

I'm well aware of the dangers invovled, but think they are the best source of information. Remember as Asmodeus worshippers, they seldom feel a need to lie. They are evil, but up front and in your face with it. Murder your own child to save the city, or to gain secret knowledge. They aren't likely to murder a possible cultist...

Male Human Rogue (Swashbuckler/Scout)/2
Luther Lightblade wrote:

Genisen shrugs, "Sounds like a fun time, not everyday you get to do something like that!"

Male Human Ranger/1, Rogue/1

I look down at Krol.

I dunno, but yer friend Ava. She don't not none look like a cit'zen. P'haps iffn ya kin stay close, she could go wit Gen'sen 'n iffn Gen'sen 'voids da big priests, da As'mo'dus foll'rs 'll think she done be a dev'l. Dat 'll give Gen'sen more cred'bility.

M Human Paladin 2; Init +2; Per +0; HP 24; AC 18, T 12, FF 16; F +5, R +2, W +3

Fearghus looks and Ava, and looks to Genisen, now looks back to Ava and imagines her with red skin and horns, and again at Genisen.

Thinking furiously, he scratches his armpit.

"Aye, an' hope t'ain't neither a'em give 't'all 'way. We all know Gen'sen t'ain't got a ser'us bone in 'is body - well, 'cept one, sometimes, I s'pose - but honest t'say I'm thinkin' as any lot as consorts wi' devils'll know Ava weren't one as like as not."

Male Human Rogue (Swashbuckler/Scout)/2

Genisen goes into a private room for a moment and comes back in. He now wears some dirty rough spun clothes over his armor. His hat and eyepatch is gone and he walks with a limp. A nasty scar runs down his sneering face and he appears a decade or more older. His greatsword is still with him however.

Disguise: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19

"P'haps dis will work when we go t'da temple 'n talk wit dem As'mo'dus d'bags?"

Aasimar Cleric 2 {Initiative +1, Perc +5; F/R/W 4/1/8; AC/T/FF 14/11/13; HP 16/16}

"Somebody that speaks a common dialect of common.", Serendipity looks at Genisen, "nice, I think you need someone to watch your back though. And my clothes already look worse than yours."

Male Human Ranger/1, Rogue/1

Do I sense that Genisen is making fun of my rural accent?

Male Human Rogue (Swashbuckler/Scout)/2

Would he do that?

Genisen went through a whole transformation into this new guy. If he took on a particular speech pattern to help with that transformation and was able to poke some fun at it....a man has got to have hobbies! But otherwise his new persona is all business.

The Gnome of the group should strike you as quite Charismatic, however he would probably stick out like a sour thumb in this town, let alone in a temple to Asmodeus.

M Human Paladin 2; Init +2; Per +0; HP 24; AC 18, T 12, FF 16; F +5, R +2, W +3

I don't think my previous post lived up to its intended comedic effect.

Aasimar Cleric 2 {Initiative +1, Perc +5; F/R/W 4/1/8; AC/T/FF 14/11/13; HP 16/16}

"On second thought, maybe a skin tight suit of red leather would work better for going into a temple of Asmodeus. The better to hide the blood stains..."

Male Human Rogue (Swashbuckler/Scout)/2

Genisen would have appreciated it more if it would have come from a woman. But recognition is recognition.

M Human Paladin 2; Init +2; Per +0; HP 24; AC 18, T 12, FF 16; F +5, R +2, W +3

LOL!

To quote Seinfeld -- Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Great disguise! So I need to know who is going to go to the temple.

M Human Paladin 2; Init +2; Per +0; HP 24; AC 18, T 12, FF 16; F +5, R +2, W +3

Fearghus will go if necessary, but is obviously reluctant to do so.

Male Human Rogue (Swashbuckler/Scout)/2

Genisen is, of course, going

Male Human Ranger/1, Rogue/1

I kin join ya goin' ta da tem'ple a evil, but someone else otta be da one talk'n. Mind ya, I don't do dees 'guises none to good, 'n iffn we's gonna be in da town, whoever be going inta da temple otta not be recognized iffn we's gets caught later.

M Human Paladin 2; Init +2; Per +0; HP 24; AC 18, T 12, FF 16; F +5, R +2, W +3

Both Fearghus and Luther have an Aura of Good; I suspect either of us going would be unwise.

Male Human Rogue (Swashbuckler/Scout)/2

"I like talking"

Aasimar Cleric 2 {Initiative +1, Perc +5; F/R/W 4/1/8; AC/T/FF 14/11/13; HP 16/16}

Serendipity is going, even though she also has an aura.

M Human Paladin 2; Init +2; Per +0; HP 24; AC 18, T 12, FF 16; F +5, R +2, W +3

While I forgot you were a cleric, having three Auras of Good coming into their temple would likely send the Asmodean priests running for the temple guards PDQ.

Krol looks up at Ava for a moment, picturing that he could perhaps hide in her robe and ride on her shoulders, but decides against it as he found that never worked as kids and would doupt that it would work against the temple of Asmodeus, unless they are all incredibly dense.

Male Human Ranger/1, Rogue/1

Iffn y'alls thinks ya priests 'n pal'dins kin be detected by da evil church, den I sa'pose dat Ava bein' a good gal dats not 'uman 'll also be easy fer dem ta detect?

Male Human Rogue (Swashbuckler/Scout)/2

"If we aren't going to try and go under the radar, then its best to go in force otherwise no amount of disguising or subterfuge will help and we'll be weaker and in smaller numbers because of it"

M Human Paladin 2; Init +2; Per +0; HP 24; AC 18, T 12, FF 16; F +5, R +2, W +3

"Ha! 'By force' it is!"

Aasimar Cleric 2 {Initiative +1, Perc +5; F/R/W 4/1/8; AC/T/FF 14/11/13; HP 16/16}

Serendipity laughs, "well this shall be an interesting meeting then, to the temple of effluvial evil it is."
