I'm Luke Skywalker, I'm here to rescue you!

Fearghus is extremely surprised to hear a voice calling out editorial commentary.

"Y'r pardon, m'lady, 'cuz we only learnt a' th' place yesterday. An' if'n ye'll hold on a mite longer, we'll have th' lot a' ye free. An' I admit, we'd no idear there's so many a' ye 'ere - 't'll make gettin' free that much more difficult. Is anyone from 'round 'ere that'd know a good place f'r us t'take ya'll an' make sure we'll all be safe?"

now only if the place was lit up first and Serendipity said to Krol "You're a little short to be a dwarf." *nerdgasm*

Ava grabs all the cloths, not careing about their condition. She sees no reason for clothing, but knows some creatures care about it. The Lillend like her mother never cared for any, yet the there were some who did wear little clothing. She focuses her mind on the situation as she carries the clothing down and any discarded items that might be in this pile.

Krol looks to the group of women and jumps back as he has the fear of being trampled by the women who were begging for release before one managed to talk them down. Instantly she manages to catch his eye for speaking with such reason.
"What is your name, if I may be so humble as to ask?" he gives a small bow first. "My name is Krolmnite Underhill, Krol for short. I thank you for calming everyone down."

Aasimar Cleric 2 {Initiative +1, Perc +5; F/R/W 4/1/8; AC/T/FF 14/11/13; HP 16/16}

Fortunately, she has darkvision...

"Aren't you a little short for rescuing fair maidens? Not that I mind, though I would certainly love to carry on introductions in less unsavory conditions." With a calming, hand here and there, she organizes those in her cage with healthier women supporting those needing assistance.

Once she has reached the door, she smiles down at the gnome standing below her, "No peaking up skirts now. You may address me as Lady Serendipity, ecclesiastical, minister of the righteous the divine, and the sacred secrets." She holds forth the back of her hand in greeting.

In disbelief at the rescue, Anna stays in the back as the others are evacuated. Not sure how to best help, she does the only thing she can think of and summons a small sphere of light to brighten the room.

As the others are evacuated, she'll stay towards the back out of the rush.

Health Check DC 12:
About half of the women have Filth Fever or Shakessome have both. The last disease is spread by contact...putting all of you at rish

--As the place become more orderly you notice that the majority of the women are half elf, and that they are all under 30 years of age, some of the women look barely 13...they eagerly accept the clothes offered by the party
--Sadly 5 women are too ill to move, and lay shaking on the floor. They were helped too late
heal check DC 12:

M Human Paladin 2; Init +2; Per +0; HP 24; AC 18, T 12, FF 16; F +5, R +2, W +3

When one of the prisoners creates a light in the back of the room, Fearghus shields his eyes for a second at the sudden increase in brightness.

"Aye, an' me thanks f'r the light, m'lady. Any help as can be had is mighty 'ppreciated."

Seeing so many women, he frowns in dismay. Turning to Durnak, he asks quietly, "You've been 'roun' town more 'n me 'r any a' th'res'. Is thar someplace like a temple or somethin' we c'n be takin' all a' these women? Hells, wi' this many we may need all a' temples a' th' gods a' good!"

"But of course, please let me and my companions lead the way." he gives a bow and seems to jump back with a flushed red face. "I...I would not do such a thing. You have all been through such terror I would not do such a thing."

He takes her hand and kisses it softly.
"Lady Serendipity, please help everyone get organised. We don't want to leave a single one of you behind." he says with determination in his eyes. "The more I hear about what this Lord does the more I want to march up there and deal with him. I believe Ava feels the same."

Blessed Elk, none a' th'temples 'round 'ere 'll do f'r all 'ese women!

While the women are all getting dressed, he gathers up his companions.

"I'm after thinkin' as there's some as have fam'ly 'ere in town as 're after lookin' f'r 'em an' could go safely home to so we needn't worry 'bout them over much. Th' worst a' 'em we could take t'Shelyn f'r healin' an' refuge or somesuch, which I'm hopin' leaves us a much smaller number t'have t'take care a' ourselves. A'fore we mention it t'them, is anyone else after havin' any ideas?"

-As most families would notice their children missing rather quickly, it occurs to you that Redwall may be a destination rather than a source of human trafficking.

Luther is shocked at the number of women and their condition, but quickly recovers.
"Let us separate them into three groups: not sick, sick not contagious, and sick contagious. The first group we feed and clothe and let them recover. The second group we take immediately to the temples. We can quarantine the last group and bring healers to them."

"We may need to use this as the quarantine area to minimize exposure as bad as that sounds."

Male Human Rogue (Swashbuckler/Scout)/2

Genisen's normal flamboyant nature is subdued, anger readily apparent on his face as he helps the women.

As Luther starts to organize things, Genisen will look around the building for anything else (offices, etc)

--It dawns on you to hide this many women, would require the city guard to either be directly involved or be turning a very blind eye, heavily bribed eye...Luther's earlier interaction with the guard should not be ignored...

"Alas, I am only newly called, and unable to cure such diseases, yet. I have done what I can to keep as many from dying as possible, though I think that my acts may have only prolonged their suffering." Serendipity continues her efforts to prepare the women for moving.

"Clean water, clean clothes, and fresh air will do for many of the girls. A haven must be located. I did hear the guards speaking of temples to Shelyn and Abadar, I believe either, or both of those would be willing to assist." Ignoring her her own risk, Serendipity will work to stabilize and make as comfortable as possible those that are the worst off. "I tried to keep those most ill closest to me, but there were simply too many, and I could do naught for those in the other cell. Does anyone have a bucket?" Fearghus mutters darkly at news of the Guard's imminent arrival. "A'right, I'd hoped we'd be able t' discuss this more, but I'm after thinkin' as we ain't got a choice but to try it."

Fearghus looks up to address the assembled crowd of women.

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22

Speaking in a calm but firm voice, he begins, "Ladies, please 'ear me out, a'cuz we got a problem. C'rupt members a' th' City Guard 'll be 'ere soon, an' I'm after thinkin' as they'll like nothin' more'n t'lock ye back up again. There's too many a' ye to flee th' place in such a short time, an' even if that was possible we ain't got nowhere's t'take ye: the only temples likely t' be friendly 're too small. So what we're goin' t'do is raise a right holy ruckus outside an' wake all the people livin' nearby t'come out an' make a big crowd. When th'Guard comes, they ain't a-gonna have no choice but t'go along and free ye since accordin' t'th' law this whole place's illegal. Pointed out by one of her rescuers, Anna hesitantly steps forward. "I can try, if you like." The pebble she cast the Light spell on still in hand, she renews the spell and passes it along to another. "Is there something specific you need me to do? I'm afraid I don't have much experience with this kind of thing. I know, maybe this..." She goes to the next woman in line, using her magic to help mend and clean the clothing they have been given.

Prestidigitation to clean, Mending to mend.

"'S a great idear, actually: the better y'all look, the more pity ye'll get from th' townfolk." I hope.... "Aight, help 's many as ye c'n in th' next few minutes, and be ready f'r when the Guard arrives. Th' rest a' us need t'get out an' rouse us a crowd - yesterday!"

Fearghus charges back up the stairs and out the door (hopefully followed by his companions), feeling the stress of the moment and using the exertion to clear his mind. Banging on doors and shuttered windows, he shouts for people to wake up and watch the Guard clear out the nest of pimps and thugs in their midst in the few minutes he has left before Captain Julius arrives.

That should also give everyone else time to prepare, and let me take a break so other people can post. hehehe

Male Human Rogue (Swashbuckler/Scout)/2

Does Genisen have time to disguise himself as one of the guards?

-The marks of the city guard are a purple cloak and a polearm, as well as a shortsword. If you can find these items, you can. However, none of the thugs had polearms...and the bribed guard took his weapons with him.
I'm going to see what others do before responding to Fearghus' post.

I could color a cloak purple for an hour, but the polearm is beyond me at present.

Male Human Rogue (Swashbuckler/Scout)/2

Mayhap you lawless scum took my pole arm from me!

Male Human Ranger/1, Rogue/1

I dunno what I kin do ta help y'all. Iffn it'll h'lp, I kin make da guard so dat he'll 'pear ta be knocked out.

Durnak is pretty open to non-evil options.

Will use prestigitation to turn cloaks purple. Level 0 but can only use it as part of my being a Gnome.

"I, for one, have lost any respect for the guards. Perhaps we should just go rogue and cut down this corrupt authority." he says off-handedly, not interested in attempting to sneak away. Ava seems to smile at that possibility. "It'll be impossible for us to leave here with all these women. We should take down anyone who works for such a corrupt and evil ruler."

"The public eye sees what was hidden in shadows. Wake the neighbors and let the guard captain be a hero." Serendipity leads a small girl, barely 13 years of age by the hand. "These ones should go out first, they are the healthiest, and like young Melody here, will strike the hearts of the people. We must not tarry, for I doubt we have much time." She leads the girl to Krol, and places her in his charge before turning to lead the others out.

Luther grabs one of the young girls that cannot walk and cradles her in his arms and carries her outside to address the people.

Luther throws back his hood and begins to speak in a clear, resonant voice. It is obvious he is practiced at the tones and inflections to inspire others. His skin gives of a divine, golden glow as he is carried away by his speech.

"I am an official voice of the Inheritor, Iomedae, the goddess of justice and valor. She does not approve of ANYONE allowing their women to be sold into slavery to die of malnutrition and lack of basic care. These women will be your wives, daughters, sisters, and girlfriends if we stand around and do nothing."

"If we do not speak for this little one in my arms, who will? Wake your neighbors and take to the streets. I will place this little one in the arms of whoever is in charge here. We will do what needs to be done knowing Iomedae and Erastil have a strong interest in seeing the right thing done through their human instrument."

Diplomacy1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14

Obviously Luther needs practice as his oratory is significantly less effective than Fearghus. Erastil 1/Iomedae 0:-)

Krol nods to Serendipity and helps the girl along, taking her by the hand, even though he is shorter than her being a Gnome and joining Luther outside.

Krol joins in the talk of disgrace with Ava and the girl standing next to him.
"Not to mention young girls!" he adds gritting his teeth. [b]"Shame on you all for letting this go on! This girl, could be your daughter! Your kin!" he then calls out to the group hoping to let the truth hang heavy in front of everyone.

"Hide not in the shadows! For the light of the divine, that which flows through all of us, asks, nay! Demands! That you set aside your tasks and come to the aid of these blameless women!" Leading a string of women out, hand-to-hand, Serendipity kicks over an empty box against the wall and stands on it. With a fit clenched in the air, "Feel the divine light, let it flow through you. Know in your hearts what is right. And help us, o' be won over to the darkness!"

Diplomacy 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25

Aiding as many of the woman as she can, Anna follows behind the group, allowing the others to orate while doing her best to keep the girls in order, watching for any dangers that may try to sneak upon them.

-The crowd that assembles numbers 15. Half of whom are women and children. They look on, mostly confused. They have been living among these wrecked homes and gutters, these lawless streets, and corrupt ways all their lives. They cheer in response to the words of the party, but one woman, bent over wearing a cloak says,
--Your words be mighty fine strangers, but if you're trying to incite a riot, we're either too old, too sick, or too poor. Staying alive is all that interests most people in this district, and the crime that saps this city's strength, is the same crime that gives us a living. Think back to The Ogre's NoseThat brute didn't lose his limb working in the forest, that scarred beauty made plenty of coin before she was mutilated, and that fop Luc used to have enough coin to import the finest liquors for his personal consumption. We've nothing against you, strangers, and your words bring hope and courage to the young and idealistic. But after 100 years, you will see things differently...evil is not evil, but a need to survive, to dominate, and above all, to live. To live if even at the expense of others.

Krol will keep with the group, however Ava will try to mingle in with the women, trying to fit in whilst in her robe in case someone attempt to grab at someone in the crowd so she can lash out at them.
"Ava will protect you all, but pretend she is part of the group. If anyone tries to take you back she'll deal with them." he says as he looks back to Ava with a nod and draws his crossbow out ready, loading it in case trouble starts.

the idea is if someone comes into the crowd of women to kidnap or even sneak up behind one of the members of the ground then Ava can get at them or even jump out if combat starts, emerging from behind all the women where they aren't suspecting it.

Krol asks with interest, unsure about "From what I have heard, I would not be surprised if it was to some vile deity from what I have heard about you and the rest of these corrupt people in charge. I suggest you submit to my friend Fearghus here. He hates the sight of evil as do I, though I am not blessed with any powers from the deity I follow unlike him." Krol points to the man. "These women are free and if you want to lock them up again, go ahead and take them." Krol threatens as he leers at the captain. Ava makes her way slowly to the found, hoping if something does happen she gets picked out from the group.

Intimidate: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 - 4 = 20 -4 for being smaller than the target, unless he's a gnome or small-sized creature

Stealth for Ava: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

Jeez look at those rolls!

"Take your own advise, this can end with you surrendering and telling the lord his days are numbered and to fall upon his own sword, or you can fall upon ours." he grins as he states this to the guard.

How much time has passed? The spell on Ava lasts 2 hours so I want to know if it's gone down or not.

Certainly not two hours
You guys really want to threaten Lord Redwall? Seems a little...premature....
