Goodwin Wintrish wrote:Any option is fine with me. Since option 2 seems to be the favorite I need a reason to like these people as Goodwin is a bit of a loner. He would likely jump up to defend some one who appears weak or unable to defend themselves so I could work with that but ideally I would like to be "friends" with one of you. When Goodwin needs to rest from his sorties in the wild he could easily have become acquainted with a straggling bands of gypsies and vagrants. A small circle of carts and tents outside of town, a warm fire and some food. Easy acceptance without social scrutiny. A chance for some healing. Here he might have befriended Longthorn.
I do like this option, I could see him setting up a tent just outside of their circle only bothering to join the others and share stories when it gets really cold or when he gets really drunk. The safety he would feel for being in a large group is a plus for him so this works out pretty well.

Are their any trait restrictions/are we using traits?
The opening post said to pick two traits.
So pick two which will be interesting and cool for Goodwin. I am sure DM Salsa will let you know if they aren't suitable for the campaign.
Here are a few that seem suitable for Goodwin....but whatever you think is cool...go for it!

I'm still new to PBP and have a few questions.
Are we following the turn order? There are so many posts and so much text flying around that I find I'm getting turned around in circles.
Can I make posts if its not my turn? Is posting between turns proper etiquette?
Should I wait until my turn before I post my attack or should I post it ahead of time to keep things moving along?
Tips? Other?
Just want to make sure I'm doing everything properly.
Thanks.

I just post what I'm doing on my turn so people don't have to wait for me. In the "We Be Halflings" pbp I'm in we post our actions and the GM arranges things so they happen in the Initiative order.
Don't know how Salsa wants it done though.

I find this statement confusing. What if you don't post for a whole day, wouldn't everyone be waiting for you? Wouldn't it make more sense to post before your turn so people don't have to wait for you?
In reading the DM Screen Spoilers more thoroughly I think I found out that the turn order is actually running in order. DM-Salsa never noted the peoples turns whom weren't taking actions and I think thats where I was getting confused. So far we've been through the surprise round and turn 1. It is my turn now except that I posted about 4 hours ago when I didn't know it was my turn which would count as my turn. Therefore, it's now Kyle's turn. Correct?

Actions are easier to coordinate if everyone posts in order. I may adopt a system being used in a CoT game I'm in, but generally I'd like to keep it close.
I'm thinking that following the GM's lead in the Kingmaker game me and ray are in might be the best choice.
Actually that's how I need to do it.
Okay post as you can. Don't worry about editing your actions to fit. I'll do that if necessary. talking is a free action, so you can do that at any time, but try and keep it down to something that could reasonably be said in less than 20 seconds.

There is a game in need of new players.
It's a 2 party game, and unfortunately, I can't play both sides of the fence. (Would have been a lot of fun to be able to argue with myself)
You'd have to play an elf, hale-elf, or a human. The GM is pretty good, if a bit brutal. As he put it, great players may still die, but at least combat won't be boring.

Thanks for the recommendation Adam.
You have to admit putting 2 suits of armor on a ledge 4 feet off the ground within sight of the entire party for a 50 ton portcullis to slam down on them would have been a lethal event :-) Kind of like 2 super grenades. I had to have some divine intervention there.
But yes, the elf team seems to be suffering some attrition as any elf party often does. Two melee frontliners are needed.

Well, to be fair, we weren't expecting them to turn into frag grenades. I thought that it would have crumpled myself.
Thank you for running the game. I still think it'd be fun to watch a player argue with himself. :) It's your game though and I'll respect any decisions you make.

Lmao @ Malcom, Shael prefers to stay clean if she can, hence a cleaner tub XD. I tried to depict that despite her fire resistance that eventually that boiling water gets a mite bit annoying. :)
Traveling right now will post when I can :)

Thanks Shael. I'm liking your character concept. I'm still surprised we both got chosen despite the fact our characters are virtually the same build.
If I may criticize though, Would you be OK with me asking you to slow down a bit in your posting. I keep wanting to respond to things you say but you have already moved on to 2 or 3 other events in 1 post before I get the chance. Its too difficult for me to throw things in without retconning everything that has happened.

Ray may be a simple farm boy, but he's seen some people do some hilarious stuff when drunk and has no intention of being one of them.
Again, I'll also point out that Shael hasn't come down stairs. Since she hasn't, and Malcom pretty much said there was an empty tub...
Poor farm boy is completely confused at this point.

I will try and slow down, apologies there. ^.^:: I grey to post often and most the time the only time I slow down is when I am out of a room. But I will try and slowmy pace down. Still trying to get a feel for how quick of a pace we are going to have in Wayward:)

I don't mind at all. My jokes would all go to waste if you didn't.
On that note, is there a set policy on reading other peoples spoilers?
On one hand it really helps fill out the story to see all of them. On the other I figure if metagaming was a huge issue people would just send PM's if they really didn't want other people to read what their writing.
