Male Human Ranger 1

Are their any trait restrictions/are we using traits?

Any option is fine with me. Since option 2 seems to be the favorite I need a reason to like these people as Goodwin is a bit of a loner. He would likely jump up to defend some one who appears weak or unable to defend themselves so I could work with that but ideally I would like to be "friends" with one of you.
When Goodwin needs to rest from his sorties in the wild he could easily have become acquainted with a straggling bands of gypsies and vagrants. A small circle of carts and tents outside of town, a warm fire and some food. Easy acceptance without social scrutiny. A chance for some healing. Here he might have befriended Longthorn.

I do like this option, I could see him setting up a tent just outside of their circle only bothering to join the others and share stories when it gets really cold or when he gets really drunk. The safety he would feel for being in a large group is a plus for him so this works out pretty well.

The opening post said to pick two traits.

So pick two which will be interesting and cool for Goodwin. I am sure DM Salsa will let you know if they aren't suitable for the campaign.

Here are a few that seem suitable for Goodwin....but whatever you think is cool...go for it!

Eyes of the Wild.

Suspicious.

Resilient.

Just to confirm what Unspunnen said, pick two traits.

Only restriction is that you can't pick a campaign trait, other than that, as long as you qualify for it, you're good.

Lobo Gris right here.

Game thread will be up sometime tonight. May be late tonight, but it will be up.

Hooray!!! Can't wait.

I'm going to regret this, aren't I? ;)

Male Human Ranger 1

Only a little bit, but don't worry I got your back, keep your head low and your spells sharp, with a little luck those nasty forest dwelling beasts will only make of with an arm or leg and we might make enough coin to eat for another night.

Male Human(Varisian by birth, Chelish by blood) Summoner lv1

Hm, eat again or lose an appendage... such a tough choice!

Male Dwarf Fighter (Brawler) 1 HP 13/13 - F+4.R+1.W+0 AC 17.11.16 Init. +1 - Perc. +1

Or you could just be efficient and eat your appendage....

Male Human Ranger 1

I do have a question. Eyes of the wild appeals to me very much, but the green faith does not. Is there anyway I can make this work?

RotRL: battle map || The Shadow Queen: Battle Map

Sure, I let you have in exchange for having a little fun.

On anything below a five on a knowledge check, you get totally ludicrous information. Sound good?

Finger food only goes so far.

I apologize. My mom's mother is in the hospital under observation right now. We thought she'd be home today, but they're keeping her another night. I'll try and have a map ready and up tonight, then we'll get moving.

Magus 1st - HP 7/9 - AC (20 w/Shield)16.13.13 - F+3.R+3W+2 - Init +3 - Perc. +0

No problem RL takes precedence especially hospital stuff! See ya in a few!

Family first.

Though I am anxious to get moving, take all the time you need.

I can wait. Take your time, please.

RotRL: battle map || The Shadow Queen: Battle Map

Okay, after some technical difficulties I should be able to have a map done and get this going. I apologize for this gross lack of prepration on my part and I will be taking steps to ensure this doesn't happen again.

I will post once my turn comes up, still lurking in the mean time. Just so you know DM. ;)

I'm still new to PBP and have a few questions.

Are we following the turn order? There are so many posts and so much text flying around that I find I'm getting turned around in circles.

Can I make posts if its not my turn? Is posting between turns proper etiquette?

Should I wait until my turn before I post my attack or should I post it ahead of time to keep things moving along?

Tips? Other?

Just want to make sure I'm doing everything properly.

Thanks.

I just post what I'm doing on my turn so people don't have to wait for me. In the "We Be Halflings" pbp I'm in we post our actions and the GM arranges things so they happen in the Initiative order.

Don't know how Salsa wants it done though.

Ray "Demon Caller" Remiar wrote:

I find this statement confusing. What if you don't post for a whole day, wouldn't everyone be waiting for you? Wouldn't it make more sense to post before your turn so people don't have to wait for you?

In reading the DM Screen Spoilers more thoroughly I think I found out that the turn order is actually running in order. DM-Salsa never noted the peoples turns whom weren't taking actions and I think thats where I was getting confused. So far we've been through the surprise round and turn 1. It is my turn now except that I posted about 4 hours ago when I didn't know it was my turn which would count as my turn. Therefore, it's now Kyle's turn. Correct?

RotRL: battle map || The Shadow Queen: Battle Map

Actions are easier to coordinate if everyone posts in order. I may adopt a system being used in a CoT game I'm in, but generally I'd like to keep it close.

I'm thinking that following the GM's lead in the Kingmaker game me and ray are in might be the best choice.

Actually that's how I need to do it.

Okay post as you can. Don't worry about editing your actions to fit. I'll do that if necessary. talking is a free action, so you can do that at any time, but try and keep it down to something that could reasonably be said in less than 20 seconds.

Magus 1st - HP 7/9 - AC (20 w/Shield)16.13.13 - F+3.R+3W+2 - Init +3 - Perc. +0

Oh okay, I was used to waiting until Initiative came up before posting but I will have my actions posted in advance as you requested boss. :)

There is a game in need of new players.

It's a 2 party game, and unfortunately, I can't play both sides of the fence. (Would have been a lot of fun to be able to argue with myself)

You'd have to play an elf, hale-elf, or a human. The GM is pretty good, if a bit brutal. As he put it, great players may still die, but at least combat won't be boring.

Thanks for the recommendation Adam.

You have to admit putting 2 suits of armor on a ledge 4 feet off the ground within sight of the entire party for a 50 ton portcullis to slam down on them would have been a lethal event :-) Kind of like 2 super grenades. I had to have some divine intervention there.

But yes, the elf team seems to be suffering some attrition as any elf party often does. Two melee frontliners are needed.

Well, to be fair, we weren't expecting them to turn into frag grenades. I thought that it would have crumpled myself.

Thank you for running the game. I still think it'd be fun to watch a player argue with himself. :) It's your game though and I'll respect any decisions you make.

So sorry for the lack of posting on my part, my computer has been unable to connect to paizo for some reason, im catching up now

I think we all experienced that Loren. Surely there was an outage of some kind.

Magus 1st - HP 7/9 - AC (20 w/Shield)16.13.13 - F+3.R+3W+2 - Init +3 - Perc. +0

Lmao @ Malcom, Shael prefers to stay clean if she can, hence a cleaner tub XD. I tried to depict that despite her fire resistance that eventually that boiling water gets a mite bit annoying. :)

Traveling right now will post when I can :)

Thanks Shael. I'm liking your character concept. I'm still surprised we both got chosen despite the fact our characters are virtually the same build.

If I may criticize though, Would you be OK with me asking you to slow down a bit in your posting. I keep wanting to respond to things you say but you have already moved on to 2 or 3 other events in 1 post before I get the chance. Its too difficult for me to throw things in without retconning everything that has happened.

Cheliax

Male Human(Varisian by birth, Chelish by blood) Summoner lv1

You know, since Shael hasn't come back from the bath, I don't think I'll go take mine just yet.

Especially since Malcom told me to bring wine. :P

Malcom doesn't swing that way if that's what your implying.

Cheliax

Male Human(Varisian by birth, Chelish by blood) Summoner lv1

Ray may be a simple farm boy, but he's seen some people do some hilarious stuff when drunk and has no intention of being one of them.

Again, I'll also point out that Shael hasn't come down stairs. Since she hasn't, and Malcom pretty much said there was an empty tub...

Poor farm boy is completely confused at this point.

Magus 1st - HP 7/9 - AC (20 w/Shield)16.13.13 - F+3.R+3W+2 - Init +3 - Perc. +0

I will try and slow down, apologies there. ^.^:: I grey to post often and most the time the only time I slow down is when I am out of a room. But I will try and slowmy pace down. Still trying to get a feel for how quick of a pace we are going to have in Wayward:)

I have no issues with you typing until you run out if room. Just when you post, please focus on one thing and let people react before moving to the next.

Thanks

No Problem Malcom :)

I'm sorry Ray. I tried to hold back. I really did.

Magus 1st - HP 7/9 - AC (20 w/Shield)16.13.13 - F+3.R+3W+2 - Init +3 - Perc. +0

lmao - After you posted that I had to read it. >.>;

I sowwy. ;)

I don't mind at all. My jokes would all go to waste if you didn't.

On that note, is there a set policy on reading other peoples spoilers?

On one hand it really helps fill out the story to see all of them. On the other I figure if metagaming was a huge issue people would just send PM's if they really didn't want other people to read what their writing.

RotRL: battle map || The Shadow Queen: Battle Map

As long as you're able to separate character knowledge from Player knowledge it's okay. In other words, if your character would not have known what was in the spoiler, they can't act on it.

So basically as long as you don't metagame, we're good.

Thats what I figured.
