Nahia had been cleaning her room, making sure there were no traces of her various activities and rituals should an investigation happen soon, when the white owl enters through her window. At first, Nahia is concerned about what this could mean, but she grins at hearing Elise, giggling as she examines the owl. Laying back, she thinks of how to best use her limited time, and responds:
”Well. Very much missing your communion.
The fortress is cracking. Soon the gate bursts.
Hope to see you soon. Providence be with you!“

Leaving just a little bit of magic left, Nahia loudly kisses at the bird and then giggles. Her message complete, she feels the last of the spells power drain as the bird flies off and fades from sight. Still lying back, she begins to think about Elise.

I’ve been waiting for a chance to send her a message, but I couldn’t risk asking for such a service here… It is good to hear that her mission is going well. We’re this close but the odds are still high, and this is the kind of encouragement that I needed...

This time in the town hasn’t exactly turned out how I wanted. I was hoping to get some time to spend like I used to, back before Brandescar. But as we keep traveling, and keep on these missions, it is looking more and more like there is no rest for the wicked… But in time what was once wicked will become righteous again...

Hopefully, this will be over soon and we can gather together again. Despite my concerns, I do miss her. I like Seren and all, but she doesn’t exactly warm the bed… Then again, it takes Elise quite some time to throw off her winter chill too…

Nahia moves to take a seat near the window, looking out at the town, feeling the cool breeze on her face, Andros coiled up in her lap. Inspired, she began to sing a song Anahita had taught her, a haunting siren’s song of meant to bring hope, talking of a pocket of spring heat found in the middle of winter. And she sat there for a while, lost in thought, letting the song flow.

The noises, yelling and a possible fight begins to attract a crowd.
The locals, gathering around, one and all side with Rose, cursing and making fists to the soldiers.
They seem resolute in not let Armam have his way, he on the other hand, is clearly out of himself, rage dictating every one of his acts.
At Rose each word, the rage builds Because of that, I’ll level him up as barbariam!, and the crowd get more and more restless.

However, before anything else can happen, you all hear a strong voice sounding in the night.

The soldiers stunned, don’t know if the salute the captain, or keep holding the enraged drunk.

Rose's tear-filled eyes went wide and she curtsied dutifully. Her face bore an obvious bright red handprint and was beginning to swell from the force of the blow she'd taken.

She bashfully turned that side of her face away from the regal man before her, which of course only served to draw his attention to the fact that she had been abused.

Her lip quivered and she stuttered out her words. "A... d-d-disagreement, m'lord. On t-the subject of honor. It seems these soldiers feel that what their captain did was justified. I disagreed and paid the price for speaking my mind."

The captain walks to you, and take a closer look at your face, he then turns to the soldiers and says. ”Take Arman back to the tower. We’ll discuss this later.” his tone however as implied that no good thing would come to the soldiers.
Turning to the young lady he says ”The soldiers have wronged you. That could leave a mark on your face. Accompany me; we will see the acolytes at the watchtower. They can fix this up in no time. Also, you deserve some sort of compensation.”
To the crowd he says ”You had your fun; the soldiers will have what is their due. Get back to your homes.”

”Let us depart then!” Says Sam.
You travel on foot to the watchtower. The captain seems to be a very reserved person.
”Tell me where your parents can be found. I’ll send notice to them, informing you’ll stay as our guest this night. Tomorrow morning, I’ll arrange an escort to take you home.” other than that, the captain ask nothing more of you.
Now that you are near him, you can observe his movements and posture, and you know for sure that he is used to his armor and weapons.
The captain uses a very well made fullplate, in his back a greatsword.
Comparing yourself to him, you know that he is stronger, tougher and faster. In addition, is apparent he has years of experience being a soldier.

You enter the watchtower, to a huge corridor 8 in map with several doors on both sides. Wherever you look, you see soldiers. Being night, most of them are already out of their attire, but there are still soldiers on guard duty.

The captain leads you down the corridor, into another one, smaller, with four doors, two on each side. From the corridor, he leads you into the base of the tower 2 in map, a place that you already knew from your previous incursion, to a stairs leading up.

He then leads you outside the tower, to a very beautiful garden. You pass near a fountain 27 and a larger than life statue 28, that commemorates the man who ordered Balentyne built – King Markadian I called the Victorious. It is a statue of a powerfully built knight clad in plate armor bearing the holy symbol of Mitra. At the base of this statue it written “Hold fast to courage, faith and fellowship and this tower shall never fall.”

The captain then leads you into the The Choir Hall 26, Its vault ceilings soar rising twenty five feet. Around the edge of the ceilings are statues of numerous saints of the Mitran faith. All of them are singing joyous hymns in praise of the shining lord. At the front of the hall is a great altar and carved upon the front is the phrase – “There is no darkness so deep that a single candle cannot defeat it.” Inside it, a half bald, smiling middle aged man, using clergy clothes.
He smiles when he seems Sam, and walk over near you.
”Ah, Sam! It’s always good to see you in these trouble times! Happy coincident it was, I needed to talk with you!” says the priest.
”Happy surprise indeed Father, however, there are some things I need to take care first. ” he then points to Rose ”This young lady was struck by one of our soldiers, I was seeking one of your acolytes, but would you mind to help me instead?”
”Ah, this is no problem at all!” says the father smiling, he then pick up his holy symbol and after a short prayer, a burst of holy light fills the room, healing everyone present.

After being healed Rose curtsied and warmly thanked the holy father, and, having received no further instructions, simply stepped back and waited quietly as the two talked.

Her eyes roamed the impressive Choir Hall taking in every detail.

Funny thing about Darkness she mused to herself. It's patient, and it's everywhere. Candles don't last long and don't shine far. When they burn out, the darkness moves back in like the candle was never there at all.

Candles care so much about darkness. Darkness is the only reason candles exists. It defines their purpose. The darkness doesn't care about candles at all. To the dark a candle is no more significant than a hole in a road to be stepped around.

She waited dutifully and smiled at the priest.

”I’ll send someone to warn her. For now, it’s best if you stay here for the night.” says the captain.
”Donnagin, I’ll escort the young lady to the guest rooms, I’ll be back in some moments.” then he turns to Rose and says ”Follow me, if you will.”

Sam leads you outside again, but this time, instead of returning to the tower, he leads you to a large building in the middle of the place.
”Usually our guests stays with the soldiers bunk. We have some beds prepared to them. In this case, this is hardly the best solution. We have another guest room, usually reserved to official visits; no one is using it now, those will be your quarters tonight. ”
That being said, he leads you into the great hall, two guards at the door, after a briefly explanation from the captain, they let you through.
The great hall 32 is a quiet and largely empty, with chairs and tables pushed against the walls. It also holds the commander seat.
Passing near it, he leads you into a stairs, to the floor above.
You enter then in a long room 34 with lots of names written in the walls, a rough estimative would be about two hundred of them. Two more guards guarding the door.
You can see now, there’s a large stone cap, that can be moved, sealing the keep from access from below.
After that, you enter in a small corridor 36 with a stair leading to the 3rd level of the keep.
The stairs leads to another room without any furniture. Two guards guard the door in this room, but the captain leads you to the other stair, going to 4th level of the keep.
You end up in a large hallway 44. There are two ornate doors to the west, a small door to the south, and a trapdoor in the ceiling. Two soldiers are stationed a beside the ornate doors.
Sam leads you into the south door 45, to a small but comfortable bedroom. It is well furnished, but empty of anything of real note or value.
”These will be your quarters for the night, I will ask you to avoid leaving them. In some minutes, I’ll ask the servants to bring you hot water for you to cleaning, and a hot meal. If you need anything, a soldier will be just beside your door the entire night, just talk to him.” with that he bids you farewell, and leaves the place.

Mysty and fausto (troost?) Sneak back into the inn, concealing the gear in a cupboard in our room. The coinage is seperated from the personal gear, so the personal gear can be used to frame the dwarves.

Nahia smiles at the larcenous crew in front of her and coos ”Excellent. I’ll identify this stuff later, but in the mean time, I agree, we need to plant whatever evidence we can. If you have something personal and identifying of the alchemist, placing that in the bag or pack of their leader might be a good way to start. But I’m open to suggestions.”

Nahia smiles and nods, saying "Thank you miss, I'll be down in a moment." and closes the door. Her calm face is immediately gone, replaced by an angry scowl. She steps towards the bed and reaches a hand out towards Andros, who is himself writhing in irritation under the blanket.

I hope we haven’t been discovered. It is too early for that kind of trouble.

Nahia leaves her room to quietly knock on the doors of her companions, saying ”Come to Mysty’s room. Quickly”

Once everyone has gathered...

Nahia looks out amongst her companions and says ”Ok, Rose is missing and the watchtower sent a guard looking for me. He is waiting downstairs. I don’t know what is going on, but I would greatly appreciate it if you would be at the ready in case things go wrong…”

Her voice is firm and quick, unlike her ‘normal’ self, and the frown that she is wearing looks out of place given her normal smile. But she looks amongst her companions, looking for confirmation.

The soldier stop then turns into your direction again saying ”I am not sure ma’am. I heard she had some issue with some other soldiers, and that the Captain took her to see the priest. But that’s only rumor. I do not know anything else than the message I was charged to deliver.” you can see the soldier is still waiting in case you had any other question.

When she enters into the room, her smile drops, though not as perturbed as before. She says to everyone "So it seems as if Rose is within the fortress as we speak. Apparently there was some commotion with the guard and she was taken to see the priest before the messenger was dispatched to inform me of her location."

Biting her lower lip, she continues "I say we give her until morning to show up. If she doesn't, then we plan a rescue. Until then, we stay on track with the current agenda. Thoughts?" She looks at her companions, waiting to see what they think.

Working with her, you had a more focused live. No more random kills. All seemed to have a purpose, all seemed good until she started to behave just as you did yourself in the past.
The arson spree that followed next ended up with her capture, but she was smiling as they did.
Worse, following leads that she left behind, they found you and in the end, you were caught again.
Your fate was to be sent to Branderscar but alas; someone else got there first and burned it to the ground.
You heard that Rose was send to the salt mines, defying all odd, you escaped again.
Many months have passed since that time; you have kept a low profile, avoiding attracting attention to yourself.
You have just arrived at Aldencross. Rumors about a bugbear gathering in the north, your old homeland, brought you here. If that was really true, this was the opportunity you have been waiting to exact your revenge over this dammed place.

Welcome. Aldencross is a small town, peaceful and just. Hound scratched his chin as he looked at the town. Rose's trail seemed to have grown cold, with Brandenscar burned and no sign at the salt mines Hound was reluctantly beginning to believe that their paths would not cross again.

Hound marched towards the inn, if the bugbears were gathering then when they attacked he might have the chance to rack up a few kills. The bugbears would show no gratitude to him of course, but mayhap setting a section of the town aflame would make excellent cover for an escape into the heartlands.

He just needed some time to scout out the area, but first, a room.

Hound's massive frame pushed through the door.

Mysty finds a piece of cloth, wipes her hands clean of the shop keepers blood, and wraps the personal gear of the shop keeper, and the coins together in it. Then carefully repeat the breakin into the dwarf bosses room, just like last time. Assuming he has keep to his usual pattern of drinking until he sleeps, he will be out like a light.

Mysty unlocks his door, familiar now with the lock. She slips into the room knells beside the bed and pushes the cloth with the blood on it under the bed, as if hiding it. Then she gets up and quietly leaves the room, locking the door.

Then she nicks her hand with her knife, dripping a little blood on thecdoor handle, and a few drops on the floor. Then she retreats to her room, with the happy feeling of a bad job done well

Rose took her time bathing, slowly stripping nude and pinning her hair up to give herself a cat's bath with the water and a rag. She even took off the chain around her waist (but left on the Mitran necklace around her neck). She strategically positioned herself so that she would be in view of anyone who might just so happen to be looking through the keyhole.

The goal of this sort of seduction is to control what your audience sees, without looking like you know you are being watched. her mother's voice rang in her head.

She arranged the candles and lamps in the room to keep her half in silhouette, and put the bowl and the rag at the edge of the table on her right so she always had to reach just a little to use it.

She made just enough noise for whoever was outside the door to realize where she was in the room. She bumped the bowl so it rang out a tone, hummed to herself, bumped the table with a hip, cursed unladylike and rubbed at where the corner had hit her. All the while she bathed, keeping her back to the door, occasionally letting herself twist to profile to reach places behind her with the rag, never quite putting herself in full view of where she might be being watched from. She took her time.

If the soldier outside her door had given into temptation and looked, her job would be much easier.

When she was done she dried herself and let her hair tumble down her back. Then she sat down to eat her meal daintily, still quite naked and positioned just so.

She kept her ears open the whole time, but pretended to be oblivious no matter what she heard.

She even said her evening prayers, kneeling before a statue of Mitra, but silently saying words of worship to an altogether different god.

Eventually she pulled her slip back over her head and found a fine robe embroidered with the heraldry of the Watchtower. Then she made as though she were getting ready for bed, but once out of sight of the keyhole, carefully and quietly slipped back toward the door, staying out of sight and sitting down against the wall to eavesdrop on the men outside.

Well boys? Just what manor of fellows are you? Did you peek?she mused to herself, smiling and stifling a small giggle.

You pray and then you finally dresses and get ready to bed.
Besides the first comment, you could not hear any other talking at all, and despite all your efforts, it seems the guard at your door is a gentleman. He did not peeked.
