He is still alive he has 2 fatepoints used then I will kill him next turn for sure then >< just one question I have shield that gives me a free parry attempt every turn so do I have it and I haven't used dodge blow I think can I use it also, better ask then just do it, ya know just in case the shield also makes it more difficult to be hit by ranged attacks ^^ I just read it lol only thinking it gave free parry per turn

If you will read the posting in OOC, you may NOT use both Dodge Blow and Parry in the same round. Also the shield just minuses 10% to the Archer's BS, and the archer definitely still hit you with a 09. I'll still need you to roll the parry attempt with the shield. You have 1 Fortune Point left, 2 Fate Points left. Again, refer to the OOC postings for rulings on those. :) Also, not to jinx you but there is never any guarantee that you will hit and the Gor Champion still has HIS fate point left because of the Fury that never went off.:P.

Probably a good idea, although taking the horns instead of the axe is the best option really. Otherwise the axe would be inflicting a +9 Critical Hit which can easily end up severing the arm or killing you in one blow. The next time he hits you though you will be knocked unconscious if you should use your last fate point. This combat is meant to be challenging but by no means deadly to the entire party. In the instance of TBK...idk we might just end up either choosing new characters and avoiding this encounter or simply waking up after the slaughter. shrugs it is up to you guys, I can roll with either.
Also Brother Ottmar, it is your intiative :)
Oh and Brenog? I STILL need you to roll the one parry attempt. If you succeed then you can take the Fate Point to avoid being killed and being reduced to one wound. If you fail, you will skip right to the Fate Point.

The combat swirls around me. Brenog is somehow staving off the herd's leader. The noble and elf face multiple foes... No sign of the young one in the wagon.
Despite the pain in my arm I lift both weapons gauge my opponent and try to cudgel the Gor's skull.
Attack on Gor #1. Half-action to aim, half-action for standard attack.
WS (45) + Aim (10) = 55

Rolling damage, SB 3

As the warhammer connects with the Gor's skull the twisted beast of chaos reels back as stares pop in front of its eyes, loosing a loud bray of pain and swinging wildly to try and stave off the priest who had wounded it so.
The Gor facing the Elf, blood dripping from the long scratch along its arm, roars and again hefts its heavy mace for another attack.
Gor 1, 40% Attack on Ottmar 1d100 ⇒ 2 Damage 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Gor 4, 40% Attack on Laurenor 1d100 ⇒ 17 Damage 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Both Gors find purchase with their weapons, the sword cutting into Ottmar's right arm and ripping a long wound into the priest's bicep, while the mace connects with the elf's chest, ripping a hole through the leather jacket he wears and drawing blood.

I cannot help but wonder what corrupted deity drives these beasts to fight with such fury! My blow would have killed most men yet this creature still draws venomous breath!
Attempting a parry w/unbalanced weapon.
WS 45 - Unbalanced 20 = 25

As my dagger blade meets axe-shaft I scream, "Sigmar lives! Back to the hell whence you came!"

The Gor facing the Elf, blood dripping from the long scratch along its arm, roars and again hefts its heavy mace for another attack.

Laurenor grimaces slightly as the mace connects and snarls a curse in elvish.

The archer sights down his string yet again, leaving the mercenary to his chief's brutal axe and instead focusing on the nearest target.

The archer eyes the sword-wielding noble with disdain and utter hatred and looses the barbed shaft with a snarl.

The arrow sails wide yet again and the Archer growls an oath and eyes its quiver, only 2 arrows left.

The Ungors all roar and jab their spears at their opponents yet again, aiming for vital organs, eager for the meal to come.

Ungor 3, on Laurenor 30% Hit 1d100 ⇒ 93
Ungor 4, on Laurenor 30% Hit 1d100 ⇒ 43
The Ungor's spear lashes out and strikes Wolfgang in the chest, drawing blood as the iron point sinks through fine clothes and into flesh. The wound is far from mortal however, lacking the strength of a Real Gor.

The Champion turns a glowing red eye on the student and sudden recognition flares in its evil mind at the human driving the wagon. With a roar, it swings its horns at the mercenary but cleaves at Marius with its deadly blood-soaked axe!

The axe misses Marius' head by scant inches, shaving off locks of his hair, his ears filled with the sound of the axe rushing by his nose. Brenog however takes the brute's horns right in his gut, the iron-tipped point driving entirely through his armor and into the soft flesh underneath.

YOu don't only moan like one you hit as one too after marius failed attempt to hit the Champion Go help the priest
will wait for my turn ^^ now, hey wait... the champion hit me... I still have my dodge or parry this turn right?
Yes Brenog you still do since last turn im not seeing you hit at all thus no need to roll for either

From the corner of my eye I see how wounded my comrades are... the noble and mercenary especially. The young student, in a move that could be described either brave or foolish, has charged the warband champion.
"Die beast die!"
Making another aimed attack on Gor #1.
WS (45) + Aim (10) = 55

Missing badly, I fear my traveling companions will not last much longer... Sigmar, give them strength!
Arg! I'm getting annoyed w/the dice-roller too!

The two gors still able to fight bray out fierce cries but look hesitant. Both are wounded and not nearly as confident as they were when the battle started, but the fire still burned in their eyes for food and blood and they heft their weapons and attack savagely.

Gor 4, ON Laurenor 40% Hit 1d100 ⇒ 15 Damage1d10 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
The Gor fighting the sigmarite priest attacks cleanly, scything its dark blade into Ottmar's left leg.
Earless, who is still attacking the elf, smashes him in the chest again with its spiked mace.
ummm...yeah really sorry bout this guys...Hopefully you have Fortune Points to try and reroll parrys and dodges. even as a gm in this instance, I hate the dice roller on this messageboard.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news Brenog, but you'll actually be knocked unconscious now :(, because you already spent your other Fate Point as far as we've discussed .
Really!? Because the last times he hit me I parry+dodge it burning all my fortune points of the day on a reroll not Fate Points this is the first time I get pushed under 1 wounds and burning 1 fate point for it leaving me with 1 still or that's what I was thinking, but if ya say so I'm KO! ding! ding! ding!

Translation for brenog and Tzeentch:
Brenog spent his fortune points re-rolling his parry/dodges earlier thus burning up his fortune points for the day.
Fate points are allowed for instead of being killed out right or getting crippled due to the critical hit charts. Thus Brenog you actually dont have to spend a fate point yet! you do however suffer a critical hit if the damage goes past your wounds say you have 3 wounds left and you suffer 7 damage thats a +4 on the crit chart and say you are about to lose an arm you can then use a fate point to not lose it and just fall unconscious instead.
Now Brenog how much damage did you suffer over your limit? cause in warhammer you never fall unconsciousness unless you spent the fate point i think we just need to see what value we need to roll on for the crit table (I dont have book atm) so we shall see :)
Same to you Ottmar if applicable and no you cant use fortune point to reroll a reroll lol
| Tzeentch the Changer of Ways |
|

@Ottmar, i do apologize but I keep rerolls to once per use only. Fatality in this game can be ridiculous at times but that's what gives WFRP its ZING lolz
@Brenog, ah, so you're not unconscious YET, you might just be stunned for a round, not sure as of yet without the details of damage you've taken over zero. a warning tho, if its near a 6-9, it is nothing good.

So you will be at +3 on the Critical Hit chart which is...
+3 Critical Hit Chart: Body
Result 1d100 ⇒ 30 equals...8
"Spine pulverized and character is knocked to the ground. Character may do nothing until medical attention is received and is considered helpless. Use Sudden Death rules for any further Critical Hits on this opponent. If he survives this combat, he must make a successful Toughness test or become permanently paralyzed from the waist down."
Literally. That's the explanation in the book
and THIS, ladies and Gents, mostly Gents, is WHY we have Fate Points. We all root for the guy in the wheelchair but no one here is bad@$$ enough to be Jake Sully from Avatar. lolz sorry for the result Brenog, but if it makes you FEEL any better, if it had been any less...you would have been instantly killed.

I am sorry about this guys :( I'd forgotten the Difficulty setting on this encounter is supposed to be Challenging rather than Standard. If I had removed a Gor and an Ungor it would have been a lot easier while still remaining difficult w the Beastly champion. I really like the adventuring group we have right now and I was eager to see your team get to Black Water. GM may just have to take drastic steps...

Ummm Wolfgang, what Full Defense are you talking about, if you don't mind me asking. In WFRP there is no Full Defense, theres, say, a Guarded Attack which improves your parrying at the cost of weapon skill but that's about it.
Guarded Attack then.
Attack nearest target 1d100 ⇒ 22
Damage 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
