The immediate danger seeming to have passed, Izra came over to Kwin and gave him a quick look. "Poison," she said, unnecessarily. "Sit down. Let me look at that. And while you're at it, suck on this." She handed the young Kitsune a small square of cloth that had been soaked in something purple. Then she opened the leather satchel hanging at her waist, and went to work, placing a thumb-sized glass tube over the snake bite, and then compressing and releasing a gum-rubber bladder attached to the other end of the tube. "This should help draw out - or at least slow - the poison."

Heal Check/Treat Poison - DC15: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16

She can Treat Poison with a Heal Check equal to the poison's DC. Success gives Kwin a +4 Competence bonus to his next save. She can do this each round that he needs it.

If he doesn't make the next one, she also has two doses of Anti-Toxin, but I'm trying to limit use of consumables, if we can. With the successful Heal check, and Dj's Resistance, that gives Kwin a total +7 (4 from Heal, 1 from Dj, 2 from Iron Liver = 7) on a DC 15 check. He should be able to swing an 8, right? Right? ;-)

"Well done, Suri. Your great courage is a lesson to learn from."

Koshukhep knelt by Kwin, his ears flat in distress. "If only I had perceived the beast sooner! I am sorry to have failed you, my friends." He reached out to touch Kwin's shoulder, gently for once. "I will endeavor to do better... once we all are on our feet again."

"This was a snake bite, Koshu," Izra corrected the big warrior almost idly, clearly concentrating on her patient, "we all saw the snake - this wasn't your fault. It just moved faster than any of us anticipated."

The way DiceBot's been treating Kwin lately, I wouldn't count on it. :o/ Also: "9", because he's taken two points of Con damage. Anyway, save the antitoxin for when we really need it. Con damage isn't fun, but it ain't gonna kill him.

Kwin slides down into a sitting position against the wall, taking the proffered bit of fabric. "Grape-flavored cloth?" he says quizzically before popping it in his mouth.

"Gah! Okay, definitely not grape," he blurts out, making a face at the unexpected flavor.

He watches Izra's ministrations from beneath drooping eyelids as he responds to Koshukhep. "Stop that. You've saved me -- saved us -- more times than I care to recount. If anyone's to blame for this bite, it's me. It was foolish to think serpents here would behave like the ones back home. I should have been more wary." He closes his eyes and leans his head back against the wall. "Daikitsu's tails, that thing was fast!"

He sits quietly resting for a while.

1d20 - 1 + 2 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (17) - 1 + 2 + 1 + 4 = 23 Sure, bonuses when I don't need 'em.
1d20 - 1 + 2 + 1 + 3 ⇒ (19) - 1 + 2 + 1 + 3 = 24 Ditto. Burning the last Charmed Life.

"Thank you Izra," he says, eyes still closed. "Drawing out the poison helped, I think. I feel... not weak really, more sort of... marginal. But it's not getting any worse."

He opens his eyes and, with some effort, struggles to his feet, wobbling a bit at first. "Thank you as well, Djehuti. And as for you, you big lug," he says, weakly punching Koshukhep in the shoulder, "no more discounting your efforts. We probably wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you. If it wasn't for any of you."

He tries to draw himself up straighter. "I think I'll be okay. Let's be about our task."

OK, so Kwin's Constitution should be 7 with a (-2) modifier. That drops his Max HP to 14. That's either 3 days of healing or a lesser restoration spell. You could get that cast in a church for 60gp and be back in a couple hours, if you'd like. It's still pretty early in the day.

Not sure where you're getting your numbers. Con was 10 so is now 8, 16 HP, -1 Fortitude. Maybe you looked at the update I'd already made for the first point of damage which took him to Con 9? Or am I misunderstanding something?

Good catch. I miscounted. Constitution is 8 (-1), Max HP is 16. Still pretty bad though for a damage dealer.

Undead! Izra's blood ran cold, and her eyes narrowed. The abominations needed to die (again), but there was little she could do against them at the moment, and less room for her in the fray, so she watched her companions, and moved to assist them as best she could.

She goes last, and doesn't have much in the way of ranged attacks that would be helpful here. And just as a note of curiosity, Ray, wouldn't Ahmed have Cover from the skelleys on either side, as they'll be attacking around hard corners? Which, by the way, would also prevent them from performing AoO's against him, as well....

Bah! Well, better on a heal than a fumbled attack roll. The command word for a wand of CLW is a running joke in a tabletop camp I run. We have a character who isn't terribly bright, but who has a rank in UMD. He has heard the healer in the group cast CLW, and use CLW wands, with that command word. So he bought his own wand, and he is commonly found treating himself with the "Chtupid-stick" after fights, trying to prove to the healer that he's fine, and doesn't need the help. Multiple failed trigger attempts manifest as him smacking himself on the head repeatedly, chanting "Chtupid, chtupid, chtupid..." :-)

Still have issues with my Internet. But I'll do my best to move us forward. But until I have my home connection again, things will be slowed down. Sorry.

A small granary with a domed roof and a small door in the front sits against the North wall of the compound. Both the door and roof are unlocked.

"You can't plan for the unexpected," offers Kwin supportively as he stows the quarterstaff and follows the group onward.

Djehuti gives Kwin a small, wry smile. "Undead in a city-sized mausoleum? Who could have predicted that?"

Torin opens the door to the granary. And then a faint chorus of thousands of clicking and clacking jaws can be heard as a mass of iridescent blue-black insects, emitting a foul stench, emerges from it engulfing the dwarf.

Swarm Damage vs Torin : 1d6 ⇒ 2

Make a DC 13 Fortitude Save. This is disease, not poison.

K. Nature DC 9:
This is a swarm of scarab beetles. They are very common out in the dessert. They are known to carry filth fever.

Torin, Koshukhep, Djehuti and Ahmed are up. Then the swarm. I'll update the map tonight.

Letting out a yell, as the vermin swarm him, Torin falls back and pulls out an acid flask from his person.

Not sure about the map positioning, but MA away from the swarm and MA to draw the flask

Koshukhep fell into a ready position, but wasn't sure what he could do to help Torin. "Izra! What of your shield?"

Held action. I'm not actually sure if Izra sold the shield? If so, ignore Koshu's words.
