Izra, I wanna say that moving diagonal through difficult terrain would be counted as "2-4-2-4".
I actually looked that up just the other day for another game I'm in. Difficult terrain diagonals count as 3 squares each, period. So it works out as the same 2x over the long run, but it's also more consistent than doubling the "1-2-1-2" rule.
Probably about the only advantage to Difficult Terrain rules. :op

Hey guys, my apologies. My life kinda took a "blow up in your face" direction at the end of June, and I haven't been able to maintain consistency in much of anything. If it's not directly in front of my face, I'm having trouble remembering to do things.
I expect things to remain wobbly until at least the end of July, possibly mid-August, but I'm putting guide rails in place to keep me a bit more on the ball. So I might need the occasional nudge, but I should be here. Mostly.
Thanks.

Not a problem, Izra. Thanks for the heads up. And I hope things settle down for you soon.

Sorry guys, life has been doing life-y things, and I don't always realize when I've been logged out of the Paizo boards, so when I do the quick "any new posts?" check, I don't always realize that no new posts are showing because I'm a "guest."
Anyhoo, posted.

Welcome back; I'm glad you made it through okay! Right after Irma passed you I read an article about how Puerto Rico didn't catch the full brunt, but was still hit pretty hard. I was going to post a link to it here, but then I thought it'd be better if everyone's hoping for the best, and the article was a bit of a downer. So I just kept my yap shut and my fingers off the keyboard.
Not like Barbuda of course, but from what I read and saw it did seem you guys took quite a beating. Were some parts of the island hit harder than others?
Good thoughts to your Florida folks and friends! Is there anything we can do?

Just wanted to say that I won't be able to post for at least a few days because as I've mentioned before I live in Puerto Rico and we're about to get slammed by Hurricane Maria. It's currently a category 5, which is nuts. This has been a pretty crappy month. I'm probably going to be without water and electricty for a good long while.

Well, I survived. I'm back at work. And at home I currently have neither water nor power, but considering everything else going on in Puerto Rico, I'm feeling lucky. My two air conditioners are probably damaged--I won't know for sure until electricity comes back, which could be a couple weeks or more. But aside from that we didn't get any flooding to our home or any major property loss. Like I said, we were very lucky.
I'll be getting back into my games slowly for the time being.

I'm glad you and your family are safe, Ray! The images I've seen from the storm are terrifying.
Also: I'll be packing up to travel on Sunday, so my posting will probably be spotty until next week.

Ray, I've been thinking lots about you since Maria rolled through, and hoped every day to see a post from you.
Based on what I'd been watching and reading about the state of Puerto Rico, I didn't realistically expect such for weeks if not a month or two. You posting so (relatively) soon is a pleasant surprise, and I'm relieved to hear you and yours made it through with minimal/nominal damage and no injuries.
How's the family in Florida doing after their hurricane?

From what I hear, my Florida family members are mostly fine now. Granted, I get most of this information second hand from my dad, since I'm not particularly close to that side of my family. I do know that they are ponying up for a plane ticket to bring my uncle back to Florida, which is a good idea since he has heart disease complications and the hospitals here are full to bursting at the moment.
My brother is also flying my dad up to Maryland to stay with him. That's also for the best since my dad suffers from anxiety and PTSD. And the lack of water and power and the record breaking, 100 degree heat with no fan makes sleep a dicey venture at best.
My mother-in-law can't travel in a plane since her lungs are so weak. She's one of the people stuck at the overflowing hospitals. She's not bad enough for her to get a room, yet they won't release her since there's no power in her home to turn on her oxygen. So she's just sort of stuck there with my brother in law. But at least they have water and power.

Izra, pretending to be a dumb soldier, doesn't want to speak up here, but *someone* might want to ask the dude what his business is, and why we should let him and his buddies leave.

I need to apologize. I've been overseas every other week for work since July. I was hoping to be able to keep up with the game but didn't even have the energy to check my personal email for the past few months. That part phase of the project is done now and I am back to a normal schedule again starting this week.
I would really like to continue in the game if you'll still have me.
