Actually I'm getting a much more victorian-esque vibe from this than anythng else, spelljammer meets star trek where everything is powered by magic not technology per say.

Does a Animi's metal armor interfere with the druid class casting ability? Does the an armored carapace that's the equivalent of medium armor slow the wearer down?

Also, what exactly do Animi look like. Are they like statues made of blue glass, marble and covered in metal, or are they more blocky and unfinished looking?

What do you think of Alpha? Any changes that need to be made?

And this game does sound pretty awesome, doesn't it!

Thrak'el Raal'orn is ready to explore the stars, I figure caracter development (revealing his personality and his more intricate background) will take place in game just like on any good tv-show worth it's salt ;P

I'm frankly surprised at the amount of monks im seeing. Also surprised we haven't seen more full casting gestalts either. Or at least full casting halves of gestalts.

My first character was a Kensai Magus/Transmuter (I still have half a sheet written) but then I was glammoured by the whole Xenogenisism jam and figured I'd approach it with a Gnosticism/Deism inspired mesh. Monk/Inquisitor seemed a fitting combo. I have backtrack through my txt's with Tyrn to get most of my PC's religious views back. Probably should have wrote those down in an easier place...

Also the point system validates the class a little better. I'll give you that, Ben. haha

Good morning, fellow star-seekers. I apologize for my delays, I've been busy. Well, that's not true. Yesterday I just got drunk with a buddy and watched Story of Ricky (Riki-oh) so it was a much needed defrag of my brain. But today I have school all day and then I work tonight. I'll hopefully have responses for everyone by midnight.

Raal has the concept down pretty well! Definitely Victorian/Fantasy aesthetics with magic augmented through technology. I know it can be hard to picture as I metamorphosed a lot of concepts, but I really enjoy what's pictured in my head! haha. The Rhaelians definitely have more of that Victorian-esque style, and the Kajiiatans I picture same style but more elven-like decor.

Marko, the animi have there armor made of marble, and inside are combinations of atmatite, rare-earths, and some metals.

Okay, I have to house some cottage-cheese, rip this, and get back to school. I'll answer more questions later, comrades.

Tyrn, don't push yourself to hard and have a good day!

Putting together Gharvis Un'Lkinden, Rhaelian wizard/roguish type.

Gharvis finds that his daily life on the Avanestra amounts to something of a ship's psychologist. Or maybe therapist would be a better term since he doesn't dwell much on who your father was or whether you were breast fed. It's rather boring work. What else would a diplomat do when the ship is away from port? Gharvis rather enjoys being the face of Rhae (Rhael?). But its why he's there. And as long as that's what people think, he can do his real job.

You see, Gharvis works for Section 17. Which doesn't exist, you have never heard of it, and you will forget ever hearing about. No really, forget about it. His real job is to protect the greater interests of Rhae, there is always another side to a situation, and its his job to find it. Space is dangerous, you never know what kind of xenophobic beings you might run into. Take for instance the Kelad's. A race that placed themselves into constructs at birth and lived their entire lives encased in hard, inorganic shells. They seemed friendly, they freely shared technology, but if Gharvis hadn't done a little digging, he wouldn't have uncovered their true plans to infiltrate the Avanestra and use the technology of space travel to start a campaign of genocide across the space lanes. Even now they were experimentation with rudimentary space flight. Fortunately, the military has been successful in blockading their home planet.

So that's what Gharvis finds his days filled with, listening to petty problems in the day, playing diplomat with other races, and uncovering hidden truths in the evening, while finding something to bed for the evening.

I haven't seen much on this, so I am assuming that technology is magical based? Spaceship engines are powered by atmatite, etc.

Is there a prestige class that is the equivalent of an arcane engineer? OR will you be using know:engineering and some craft skill to cover running the machines?

Well i passed out writing my stories last night and lost them. Round 2 after work today.

Also all this talk about start seeking got me thinking about a dear friend in new orleans. Whenever wed head out back to the shed to smoke hed ask. "going to look at the stars eh?" To which we'd nod a smile on our face in anticipaion of what was to come. I guess what im saying is im quite happy to find out that our humble DM may allegedly enjoy partaking in some star gazing...as do I.

Haha. Funny you mention that. The name Avanestra is a name my friend and I created for our "thought-ship". Basically we'd partake, board the Avanestra, and explore space with our brain-pieces. I should mention that Kajiiatans are mostly his creation, even the name. I tweaked things with his permission to fit the game setting, but I still want to give credit where it's due (and so he doesn't sue me 10 years from now).

Wow, I made it sound like him and eye smoke and then go to a park at night somewhere and spread our arms and pretend we're flying. haha. It's nothing like that I swear!

eye should be I* ::smacks self in the dick::

I am in process in responding to questions. We got out of class early so I have some time before work.

Anyway is my backstory consistent now? For the ship, is there a huge galactic ship that house thousands of inhabitants and that we are the representative of these people. Imagine Gundam Flying space civilization or its more like Mass effect where the ship just comprises of the heroes and a skeletal crew.

Also since you mentioned its like high space asgard fantasy, how is the design of the interior of the ship look like? Is it like a medieval warship setting with modified steering wheel magical crystal balls for communications and navigation etc or its like star trek setting where people sit front of a system feeling them information and navigating with a keyboards etc.

Lastly I am checking is there an ecosystem on board lol a garden dome etc etc.

Good questions, Laz! Yes, I your backstory is fine and fits well. I like that you rationalized your abilities with techniques. And the Avanestra is definitely big. There are civilians on the ship as well, as sustaining a population out in space is essential to continue the prime objective. Basically civs are there to breed people to run the ship. Hahaha. Of course that's not the mentality behind it. But you get it. Logistics! If I had to give a size, I'd say double the size of category colossal. I will save details on the interior, as your character would not know what it is yet, so I don't want to "thin the veil" if you know what I mean.

When you say that pistols will have more capacity than 1 how do you envision it working? A magazine? Some sort of clip? And how much capacity?

I'm asking so's I can figure out how many bullets to buy and if I need black powder to go along with them.

Ah, yes. This I'm still kind of debating. One idea I had was that clips are these cylinders that contain bullets that slide into a loading chamber on the gun (visible or not, depends on model), and to dislodge the clip you hold the trigger down and whip the gun toward the ground or wherever, ejecting the rod. Bullet-rods? Ram-rods? Rookie-rears? RAm-jasms? Bods? Bullet-rods technically, but in slang they are generally called tubes or clips. For now, we will stick with this :)

Hey Mathesar. I know the feat says it doesn't affect Bard spells, but I don't see why the hell not? That isn't fair. What do they discriminate against bards? A-holes. You're good man. Everyone's source of raw-atma comes from static atma or amatite crystals, there are no like, divine source or arcane source other than for interpreting some rules (just so I don't butcher the core book to oblivion and back). So you're good.

You can do what they do and pick your olfactory cavities instead. I don't really see the appeal myself but Ensign Bradley suddenly gained another level of expert for doing it for two hours straight.

I taichi all my gas out of the system you see. It's not farting, it's an actual class skill my ability uses therefore entitles me to xp. LOL

You have a very cool backstory and I admire your creativity. Unfortunately though, Rhaelians would never conduct drastic bio-experiments ever again because of a specific event in their history. This event is called the Midgar Holocaust, and it ended 100 years ago. Basically, the Rhaelians had a much higher population and extremely dense cities, with the leading nations' military might exceeding well beyond what they were capable of. A classic example of people having their technology 10,000 years ahead of their ethics. What ended up happening was an outbreak of bio-engineered organisms that were to be used in war (this was done more specifically by an imperialistic genius, who you'd learn in history class as Lexer Hewes). The Kajiiatans and Rhaelians were maintaining communication between this time, though first contact wouldn't happen for another 90 years. With their help, and the unity of the free people, they survived the outbreak, and eventually the abominations died off (as they were designed to do). A lot of Midgar is dotted with Rhaelians ruins of abandoned cities, but a lot has been rebuilt. With the worlds' power in the hands of free people, the Kajiiatans provided the ethical education that their society has excelled and advanced in to the Rhaelians, and so began what the people of Midgar are today.

I should mention that the Rhaelians most prominent city is Illia, the Kajiiatans is Kajiiata (it's the name of their sun, Kajiiata, so it would be interpreted as their City of the Sun). I had read some confusion about that so thought I'd clarify.

Hahaha. You guys are too funny.

Ehren Karn Fighter2:Ranger2

Thak Val Zsing: ZenArcherMonk 2/ Infiltrator Inquisitor 2

Mathesar Leesma Alchemist: (Internal Alchemist, Mindchemist, Psychonaut) 2 // Bard (Archivist) 2

Alpha: Druid (Pack Lord)2/Ranger (Shapeshifter)2

Lazarus Warp Ghost: Male Rhaelian Monk/Vitalist 2

Thrak'el Raal'orn: Kajiiatan Ninja/Magus (myrmidarch) 2

Yasserian: Male Animus Fighter 2/ Xenogenic Cleric 2

Kieran Crane: Rhaelian Inquisitor//Monk (Ki Mystic) 2

Who am I missing?

Nice! Thanks for the comprehensive list, man. I think you got everyone that I am aware of. This helps! You can be the captain's secretary ;)

Now organize my s$%@!

Oh, and one last question to add to my host of questions! How long ago would say Alpha woke up? It would give me a number to work with when I write his back story. (which I'll do once you okay the concept.)

Also, is Alpha okay? The concept is on the last page but I can repost it if you'd like.

I would make the following changes. Not that you made anything bad! I like the idea of an Animus with a childish mentality that identifies with animals and uses them in combat. That has a cool Final Fantasy feel to me. And I think I would just justify wildshape with an Animus as transforming or something. I know it's fantasy, but something like that can have many other implications aaaaand.... well, I can't explain to much. But lets just say wild-shape is harder for me to justify unless it was more biological. Haha. Like, I had originally had only the Eridani able to take classes with wildshape with all of these made up processes that allowed them to. I'm a bio-nerd. Haha.

Not that I know of and I'm not sure yet if I'm going to do prestige classes. Just because I think the saves change at weird rate or something and it can get messy with gestlalt. We'll play that by ear but regardless, I am not aware of any prestige. I'd say definitely engineering but arcane would be a good secondary skill for those things. Just for understanding atmatic properties of machines.

Transforming how?

I pictured it as Alpha remaining as a statue like creature, but becoming statues of different animals when he uses wildshape. So he's not actually becoming an animal, just changing his shape to match that of an animal it.

Ah, I see. Well, I suppose if that's how you imagine it then that's fine. I won't cast thought control or anything and make you think otherwise ;) Here, I'll try to describe the Animus in clearer detail...

Take the muscles of a humanoid body. Those are made of a composite material of marble, stone, and rare-earths (gold, platinum, etc.). These "muscles" are essentially sectioned, and holding them together is essentially the "pull" created from your gyro-heart. This powers your atmatic currents, and completes your circuity, giving you electron-harmoneous-awakening (you awaken into life). Now, between these sections of your "muscles" are inlaid, granular beds of atmatite. So when you cast spells and all of that, you'd be all glowy! I don't picture a mouth, but when you speak, a faint glow beneath where your mouth would be would dim and brighten with the rhythm of your voice. And you can have whatever color glow to.

This goes for you too, H1. But again, your thoughts are yours so if you want to look a certain way, then that's cool. Just as long as your wildshape doesn't make you turn into a fuzzy animal.... when you're not even made of protein at all.

So any chance of maintaining with some alterations or scrap and start again. I made a point of mentioning they were stored in stasis, and they are clearly sentient. Would they be workable as soldiers from that era that were left over from either side? Something to be left on the shelf until needed for conflict?

Ah. No. XD I never considered him turning into an actual animal. And I was using statue as a general frame of reference, since rock person thing with glowy bits is a lot less descriptive. I'll start writing up a more detailed backstory. Will have it done soon. Going to say he's only a few months old, unless you have any objections.

Also, as much as I like final fantasy, I will not be emulating them when Alpha uses his wolf in combat. The reason why? I don't want to shoot wolf off of an arm cannon at an enemy like a missile.

You could do what Shadow does and make your doberman run up and bite them in the crotch area. You know like the superior final fantasy.

I think H1's mouth is going to have to move a bit. If for nothign else in that she's supposed to look like her creators enough to be identified with them and not just another construct.

This being said since I have you here considering the alt. backstory we discussed earlier I would like a suggestion, based on H1's sheet. As to what position on the ship H1 is best suited for.

Oh, H1! I was wondering if you wanted to colborate any with our characters. I think I remember reading that H1 was an older Animi so she might be able to help Alpha get situated.

Alpha's Journal 0001 Year 7512
Animi, Science Department, Wildlife expert
Title: I remember

Spoiler:
I remember seven weeks ago... I remember waking up to the sound of people talking. They were hovering around me, observing me, even poking at me with pencils. I remember looking at them and looking around the room. Back then, however, I did not have words to describe what I felt. It is harder now, then, to describe what I was feeling. I simply was... but I can try. I think I was surprised, just a little, at seeing. Perhaps I was a tad afraid at all the small people walking about the room looking at me and making sounds. One thing for certain, however, was that I was curious. So many people talking, so many crystals in the room glowing, and items of metal, machines and technology all centered on me. I was curious. But I didn't have words yet, so I could put a voice to such a feeling.

I was taken through the steps like others had been before me. The people, three in all I recall, were excited to see how quickly I picked up on things. Words took a week or so, even with the UT, but eventually I was talking, barely. But I didn't have much to say then. I still didn't understand how to phrase what I was feeling. And the people were confused at my reticence. I understood that I was alive now and thinking. But I didn't care about that. I wanted to understand what was happening around me, but what the people said held little interest for me.

I remember six weeks ago... I remember meeting Wolf for the first time. Wolf is a wolf. He was sick, injured or ill. I don't remember which. But I remember the people, one of them, bringing Wolf in after treating Wolf for whatever had been wrong with him. I remember looking at Wolf and understanding, when I had looked at people and not understood. He was curious, nervous, but curious like me. When he saw me, he was confused at first, especially when I moved. But when I spoke to him, not with words, he understood. The people with me were fascinated, but I didn't care. I had found something interesting in Wolf.

I remember five weeks ago... I remember requesting to study something for the first time. They had tried to teach me some things, but I wasn't interested in them. It came as no surprise to the people when I requested to study animals. Wolf had been following me around almost constantly by this point and they seemed to think it better to let such things happen then try to curb my interests to what they wanted. I understood this, though they never said anything of the sort. I understood such intentions despite understanding things they were not saying. I learned quickly. I wasn't stupid, as some of them feared. I just didn't want to learn what they wanted to teach me. It wasn't interesting.

I remember four weeks ago... I remember the first time I went hunting with Wolf. We were in a small base by that point near a large wooded area. The people, they were curious how we would work together. Wolf and I, however, had been working together since we met. He followed my lead and I led him. But hunting, hunting was different. The people had made me large, clunky, slow. I was tough, but catching something big would be hard. So I let Wolf take the lead. Find the prey, slow it down, let me finish it. It did not take long. Wolf ate well. I did not need to eat, but I found that I was happy that Wolf was happy.

I remember three weeks ago... I remember the day I walked back with Hawk on my shoulder. The people were surprised and amazed, but when they tried to study Hawk, all three of us tried to stop them. It took several minutes for them to reassure me they wouldn't hurt Hawk. I watched over their studies. It turns out that Hawk was completely ordinary. But that wasn't right. Hawk was like Wolf had been. He was interesting. I watched and made sure they did not hurt Hawk as they gave him a U.T. like Wolfs. And he would become like Wolf was. He would become part of my Pack.

I remember two weeks ago... I remember the first time used Atma. It was by accident, actually. But we had come across a bear that had wandered to close to the station. One of the people had scared it, made it angry. It charged. Wolf and I charged. The bear did not last long against me, but it's claws scratched me some and had hurt Wolf. I was worried for wolf. Afraid for him. The people called for help, but I did not think they would make it in time. I held Wolf in my arms, carefully because I had always been very strong, and wished him to be better. I began to glow blue, then his injuries glowed blue and then his injuries closed. They did not heal all the way, but he was breathing normally again. He was awake and whining as well, because he did not like to be held so close sometimes.

I remember one week ago... days upon days of study, of practicing atma use, of hunting. I was made strong, I awoke smart, and I was curious about so much with nature because there was so much to learn. Eventually Wolf and Hawk came to trust each other as they trusted me. Eventually we could work together. Eventually, I could even see what my pack could see by using atma. It was hard at first, but now I can do it quickly.

And finally, I remember being asked if I wanted to go into space. That was a few days ago. I had been recommended for my skill in nature, my knowledge and my ability to understand and deal with wild life. I remember being asked if I wanted to go to the stars. I remember asking if there would be animals there.

Ok so here are my two submissions in background info form. I have the basics of the character sheet spoiled as well.

Izz E. Elehandar the Atma Manipulator:

Izz is born. In his youth he was immediately found to be proficient with amatite. To his misfortune he was soon involved in training in the use of artillery. War had been playing out since the day of his birth and with no end in sight more bodies were needed to become killers. By the time he was old enough to enlist he was given a large allowance and immediately sent to the front lines to man the cannons.

It was there he learned what war meant. He did not like it and in his spare time developed a plot to end it quickly. He snuck into the armory and stole the biggest meanest, still-portable looking gun and slipped into the night. Under the cover of darkness he crossed the field of battle, using his vast understanding of statistics to be in the right place at the right time to avoid detection. His path brought him to the headquarters for the opposition where he single-handedly assassinated the three highest in command, from far outside the camp, using his amatite gun, and Precision. He was a fine product of military training. They kicked him out, after awarding him a medal of course.

Izz was free. That made him happy. He settled in, enjoying the peace as he took up a job as a librarian. He never forgot the power he held in his hands that day, however. He spent his adolescence reading and then rereading every book in the library. Upon completing this task he gave his 2 weeks notice and left for the city. He had determination in his heart and a strong desire to learn more.

Here he found a job as a Repair man. All things have a tendency to fall apart over time, creations of "intelligent beings" included. In fixing the world around him he learned how easy it was to mold. He started not only fixing things but improving, making them better, faster, smarter. Sometimes he overdid it, but always for a good reason. He never got the hang of convincing his customers of this fact. Soon there was no room for the cooky repair man anymore and he set off for parts unknown.

No one knows what happened to Izz next. It wasn't until war struck again that he was sought out by the MAN to fight for hearth and home. They found him on a beach, nude, with a splif in his mouth. He also had a amatite Engineered left arm. They didn't ask where he had been for the past 123 years, they didn't ask about the arm, they just grabbed him. "You are needed for a very important mission", is what they said. "Farking Prigs", is what he thought. "Oh Sweet!" is what he said when they handed him the mark II of the beautiful piece of amatite engineering he had used to end the war before.

His mission should he choose to accept it, which he did because they said he could keep the gun, was to infiltrate the enemy camp and wait for a moment to strike at the heart of the enemy. In no time he was inserted in the wilderness, a man and his gun. Things were going well until he was discovered. Worse still it wasn't long until they discovered his true identity. He was held in a cell striped naked, for months kept barely alive. They kept telling him that someone was coming to see him, he was special.

Soon he was blessed by the presence of the man with the plan on the enemy side. This man knew all about Izz, for he had been the one pulling the stings of the previous war. He had lost much due to Izz good aim and was very intent on seeing him in pain. The man, thinking himself safe with the unarmed Izz came closer. His foot step rhythm, the way he put weight on his left foot, the smell of sweat, in all probability this was the time Izz had been waiting for. With a discrete application of his soul knife the bindings were cut. The man took his last step before winding back to assault Izz. In a flash of Blue steel the man fell to the ground dead and Izz ran for his life. Many died that day, Izz was not one of them.

The war did not last long with it's main financial backer eliminated. Izz was sent home again, this time with an even better reward, a design contract for the mark III. This model was meant to be mounted on a new shuttle one that was meant for peace, but required the ability to defend itself.

The Avanestra was a beauty. He fell in love the second he saw her framework shell. He rushed through the installation of his payload so that he could be free to investigate the remainder of the ship. He saw something that he really couldn't leave alone. A diode that wasn't optimized. Without thinking he set to work "fixing" it. Before long the entire ship was on high alert, "INTRUDER INTRUDER" "WAHH WOOO WAHH WOO" ect ect. He was apprehended and interrogated, and after they actually figured out what he did, offered a job.

Here we find Izz, mechanic on the greatest ship ever made. Member of the occasional ground crew, especially when a bit of discrete force is required. Owner of the only Mark IV in existence. Always learning, always open.

There is more but I think this is the basics. IT sort of explains his abilities and who he is hopefully. If you aren't cool with the metal arm that's cool. I have a story for why he has it but thought it better that that come out in character.

Xan the Savage Philosopher:

Xan never fit in with the community he was born with. He was born during a solar storm, though no one around him knew what that meant. His soul burned with the fire of the sun though those around him wished for calm serenity, or in extreme cases cautions defense. In his youth he could often be found on his back staring at the sky. Weather it be night or day he was constantly observing the cosmos. He wished for something more, action, motion, anything but the calm waters of his village.

He found solace and an internal calm in the knowledge that one elder had to share. Akum spoke of boring things that Xan had no interest in but he also spoke of the stars. A massive world was out there with other planets like ours, other people like us, intelligence, experience wonderful things. Xan was very interested in these things. He spent all of his free time with Akum. Thankfully Akum gave Xan something to focus his fire through. He gave him faith in the Universe. Mise en place as they say, everything in it's place.

All things fade away with time, and life is no exception. Soon Akum was dead of old age. Akum left his seat on the elder council to the one he trusted most, Xan. This was controversial to say the least. One cannot be on the elder council if they are not elder, is that not true. Whispers of the decree resonated around the village and soon reached Xans ears. To deny him a spot on the council was to deny his teachers final wishes. This was not the way things were done, a last request was always fulfilled, a dying elders appointment always respected. In refusing him his right they had only one goal in mind. The decision was a message that Xan should leave and never return. He did not think this was just and so on the day of the new elders inauguration he was there to receive his rightful title.

The more cautious and active elders anticipated his arrival and he was quickly met by guards who attempted to remove him from the ceremony. In his first real moment of anger he lashed out at the guard slicing a hole in his chest with a large Purple blade of force. The guard dropped wounded but still alive. Xan turned into a whirlwind of action. He threw the other guard off of him and ran towards the elder council shouting the whole time of his intents, and apologies. The council saw nothing but an angry man, and Xan felt their fear. The fire in his soul ignited his new-found emotions and upon seeing the reactions of the elders he howled out in glorious agony and ran for all he was worth. He did it to save the people around him as he slowly lost control.

Had anyone tried looking for him it would have been easy as he left a trail of felled trees and broken undergrowth. Noone dared go after him, nor did they dare speak of him again. The events of that day did not exist, nor did Xan. Xan, the forgotten is what he called himself now, knowing full well the response the village would have. They were a lake and he was a rock. Throw it in and ripples are made but over time the ripples disappear and the lake is calm again. Xan, was calm again but he felt the fire within, now he knew it's power, and it's burden.

He hid away in the wilds, staying away from the other tribes. He lived from the earth and observed the miracle of the universe in every waking moment. He was content in his life of solitude, peace, exploration, questing, survival against those that would end his life. He was content at least until he saw something he'd never seen before, a new strange metal moon. (hint: it's the Avanestra)

A bit shorter, but I don't really know a lot about the Eridani. Heck I don't even know if they are tribal or developed. I got a tribal vibe from their abilities however so hopefully this all makes sense. It can be changed if necessary.

Hi DM, gonna ask you an epic question. Any chance you can start a character level 3 campaign? As level 2 is great buuuttttt it's just lacking a little bit and level 3 would definitely give us more chance to flesh it out a bit. Just asking, I am.cool with level 2 too. ; P

Why you being a nimby-bimby?! ;) Nah guy. You'll be fine. I like starting you out young a fresh.....

::cough:: I lvl pretty quickly. You can fart in game and I'll give you xp.

Explains why all energy beings are so powerful. They're just raw XP.

Well that's the answer to my dillema. I just need to hit them with a bendy straw and consume them.

@Alpha: I'd like to avoid that collab for now until we know what the group is going to be exactly. It'd be a pity to tie backgrounds close and then come to nothing.

@Harbinger: Understood! Hope to see you on the other side then!

Tyrn- could I get it resolved as to whether I can have a Psicrystal as a familiar? It occurred to me I could implant it into a regular familiar and maybe combine the abilities like that....

I will throw in a plug for a Rhaelian. I'm thinking something like a special investigations and operations (PSIOP) Rogue/Wizard or more likely, Rogue/Psion.

I will work on the crunch and fluff later (egads) today.

That is a great angle. I just went fighter/cleric. Pretty vanilla in comparison to the great archetypes here. Trying to be "universalist" as my character evolves. I am pretty excited about the revolving alignment for Animus.

When is recruitment ending?

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

I'm thinking of having the diplomat also being the king's assassin, aka robin hobb's farseer trilogy.

I've only read the DM's posts in this thread, and it looks like there are already a lot of characters submitted. However it sounds awesome. I'm actually running a game along the same lines on these boards. If there is still time to submit, I'd like to create a Kajiiatan Witch/Rogue. He'd be the equivalent of a professor of Neuroscience (studying minds and consciousness with magic). Genius level intellect, with a wide breadth of knowledge. Also diplomatic and suave due to a lot of public speaking. He was possibly involved in developing the UTI?

Messsage from the Cosmic Society of Adelene

Dear Applicants,

After extensive review of your applications, the CSA has had all of its positions satiated. Many aspects were considered, and certainly not all was based on your written applications alone. Nonetheless, we were very intrigued by all of your talents, and if any are interested in more "static" or "passive" roles (meaning, play on a call-in bases), please state so on the recruitment thread and should the need for your skills arise we will have you transported to the Avanestra promptly. With these roles, you would not need to continually check for threads, as you would receive a private message from the Avanestra. Updates from the Avanestra will continually feed from the Captain's log to CSA, which then is distributed to the public, so feel free to follow the story if it interests you. We at the CSA thank you for your time and enthusiasm, and will provide a small favor for your effort.

::You received Kukri Sword::(dah nah nah NAH!)

Though you will not be traversing the Great Expanse with the Avanestra, the CSA still encourages you to know thy cosmos with brilliant passion and wonder.

Yours,
Captain A'dhelis Sigma

Congrats to all those who got in!

So im assuming we woulf have gotten a pm if accepted. As i have not recieved one yet I will assume as much. Izz would very much like to be on call as he would be working the ship anyways. Xan on the other hand might be hard to integrate as on call.

Have fun crew! This is the best pbp I have seen posted. Enjoy. Thanks for the experience DM!
