Hi there. I'm recruiting for two open spots for a new PbP built around a slightly modified version of Feast of Ravenmoor. I'm currently playing in several PbP's here on the boards and have decided to try my hand at running a game. There are currently four players signed up for this game, they are all running or playing in active games with me. The party consists of a half-orc two-handed weapon melee fighter, a life oracle, an archery ranger and a menhir savant druid. I am looking for character submissions that complement the current party makeup and/or fill in the missing pieces.

Character creation guidelines are as follows:

- 25 point buy
- characters start at 3rd level
- 2 traits
- average wealth by level (3,000 gp) in gear, characters should begin play with roughly 10gp or less in available funds
- the following classes are not available for play in this game: gunslinger, ninja, summoner, or any build that focuses on controlling/creating undead.
- any non-evil alignment, but please be a grownup if you're hoping to play CN. Disruption for its own sake isn't fun for me.
- core races are fine, exotic races will be approved on a case by case basis, custom races are not available
- subject to the restrictions above, if it's in a Paizo book it's fair game. 3pp materials are not likely to be approved, but hey, it doesn't hurt to ask.
- please complete your character in a dedicated alias including a backstory not to exceed 750 words.

I personally don't use herolabs, but their format is very easy to read , so I would appreciate it if you can emulate that format.

Aside from that, please give us all the basics of your character, fluff and crunch and we can figure out how you guys know each other. Right now I'm envisioning somewhat established adventurers who may or may not have worked together in the past. You're down to your last few coins, and may have a reason to get out of Magnimar quickly.

Ah i take it back. I have already submitted to be in like 6 campaigns. Granted i know at least two of them i have no chance in and the others could vary greatly. I just don't want to end up being in more than two campaigns. But i honestly think i will only get accepted for one at max. Just feel bad submitting to every recruitment that comes along.

OK. You have convinced me. I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE rpgs. and even if i do end up in multiple games posting is as easy as texting to me due to the fact i cant post from my phone. And thats when im not behind my computer which is practically never.

Born to a wealthy Family, well educated and keen to help the sick and beat them to health.

Appearance, Background, and Personality:

APPEARANCE

Dimitrio is sexy (and he knows it). The rogue has long black hair, a goatee, and a mustache. He wears golden loop earings and a large gold necklace and medallion. His shirt is open to show off his hairy chest and he wears loose pantaloons with leather boots. A couple of colorful sashes and an embroidered vest with lots of gold adornments complete his casual outfit.

BACKGROUND

Dimitrio was one of the main attractions of the traveling Varisian Troupe of entertainers. His dancing mesmerized audiences and attracted lots of attention from the opposite sex (OK, he also attracted attention from the same sex but Dimitrio doesn’t like to talk about that). An archetypical band of scroundels, the troupe would hold the attention of an audience while others fleeced them. So it was a win-win situation for the Varisians as they gained money from their performance and also augmented it with their petty thievery.
Everything was going well for Dimitrio until the daughter of their leader, Petre Carini, came of age and started looking at the young dancer. Warned by his brothers to ’leave that one alone’, Dimitrio could not help himself. When news of his fleeting romance reached Petre, the dancer was expelled and told not to come back on pain of death. Saddened by the whole ordeal, Dimitrio pushed his luck by ’taking’ a parting gift before he left; he stole Petre’s magic shortsword.
Dimitrio quickly forgot about the young girl but the troupe has not forgotten about him. On the run and constantly looking over his shoulder, the young dancer tries to make money with the odd performance, supplementing his income with easy targets. He had briefly settled in Magnimar but news that the Carini Troupe is coming to town has the rogue looking for a excuse to leave—quickly.

PERSONALITY

Dimitrio is a charmer and vain about his looks and dancing. He is very greedy and likes to hoard jewelry and such. He is very superstitious and sees omens everywhere. He is a skilled performer and likes to take the non-violent way out of situations when possible. Gambling goes with the territory and Dimitrio is an addict, sometimes betting his jewelry and clothes of his back (literally).

You can find the crunch part of Dimitrio in the alias. I think I met all your requirements with the exception of the formatting (Herolabs). Although I think you should have no trouble finding things, I promise to take my time and format as desired should Dimitrio be selected for the game.

Silver Crusade

Hi DM completed Lanfearon. 2 alchemist/1 inquisitor.

Lanfearon was born to an alchemist in a relatively unknown village. Her father Randel Lannister a human married her mother Ristil Austil an elf. Due to his love for Aluria, he decided to leave the city so as to spare her future society discrimination due to her mixed heritage. Aluria shows great promise and potential in alchemy as he father taught her the mysteries of chemicals. Her father told her that he is on a verge of a huge alchemy discovery that can help enhance the quality of many disabled lives.One night on a full moon, a certain resident of the village is rumored to be possessed. It was not known what happened but after the resident was warded in the local hospital chaos took place on the next full moon. Soon the chaos was on the streets as demons burst into Aluria's living room and started attacking Ristil's household. Alarmed, Ristil reminded of Aluria's breath mastery training and beckon her to enter into a state of death. Crying, Aluria controlled her emotions as she began to slowly cutoff her breath as her vision faded. The demons killed the entire village and proceeded to run into the wild sparing the only survivor of the village whom they thought was dead.When Lanfearon awoke, the carnage was terrible. A certain demon hunter sent from the Church of Iomedae came to the village and took her back to the church. Lanfearon took the remnants of her father's belongings including his journal containing his research.At the church, Lanfearon continued to delve in her studies determine to find out more about these demons. She completed her father's research and decided that she will try it on herself. After 20 years of training and preparation, Lanfearon took the scrolls from the High Priest mandating her to rid the world of demons. She was named Demonbane. She heard of an expedition formed to find out what happened to the tax collector. Sounds like work of demons she thought as she volunteered.

Variel Staffel Spellweave

Back-story:

This Human Magus was raised in one of the finest Arcane Schools learning from the best. However in a backlash at his parents he began skipping class and would go to a monastery and learn with the monks. He began early on to favor Quarterstaff and ultimately that was his only weapon of choice. However his parents eventually found out about this and he was made to go to the arcane school. He continued to learn Quarterstaff on his own and learned how to cast while still wielding his weapon of choice. This ultimately led to a Magus as opposed to the Wizard his parents tried to make him. But as he trained with his staff and spells the two began to blend together and the two in combat would become indistinguishable to him. He eventually ran away from home due to his continued arcane schooling. He began to use his skills for money. Becoming a bouncer and hired muscle. Eventually when he got the skill he went off to find adventure in this big world.

Personality:

He can be rude at times and uptight(do to the environment he grew up in). But in the end the monks taught him love and compassion so he tries to be nice when he can and knows when he is mean. He may come of as NE but on the inside he is NG. And when the time calls for it you will know which side he stands on.

Here's Loup's submission, Korinil Ironfist! A hardy dwarf monk, who currently specializes in close-quarters combat, and will soon enough be able to get some nice magical abilities.

Crunchwork is done with updating him to 3rd level and all, though I have yet to spend the gold... Also need to write some new fluff for his backstory, since he was built for a Carrion Crown AP.

Some of you have taken it upon yourselves to PM me with questions and requests for feedback. I applaud your initiative, but would like everyone to be on a level playing field. So, if you would like any feedback on your character, please send me a PM by Wednesday, November 14th and I will do my best to reply in a timely fashion.


I'm Fine GM, with all things here and open, I always find the PM back door leads to Met-super half races walking in with mad feats and 3pp stuff dripping off them if a GM dos not keep an eye on whats being built. In the open other players can post things broken and make a call. In two games now where GM alone had to spot check PCs stuff slipped past, (Im a GM as well and know you just can not cross check every thing) that has doomed games, one players is just rolling over us with his bespoke Eidolons of doom, we may as well not be in the game. Cool thing is as you have banned the most misused classes gunslinger, ninja, summoner, (I may do that myself in my next games its a good idea) I have every faith in your skills at keeping the Nuttiness at bay hehe. :)

Looking at the characters currently in the group, what this party needs is some sneak!

Here is Morin Tidelock, a nimble halfling rogue skill monkey - salt water runs in his veins, and he's had a streak of bad luck longer than an ogre's...somethin'. But he's hopeful things will turn around soon.

Crunch and fluff are all complete, equipment mostly done but mundane stuff will need touching up once details of campaign are clear. I re-skinned a trait slightly to mesh with his maritime background - can undo if you don't like it.

It has recently been determined that halfling genes are recessive. This explains why there's no such thing as a half-halfling (sometimes referred to as a 'quarterling'), and also provides the rather amusing possibility of a halfling being born to two full-sized humans.

All right guys, based on the strength of the current submissions I'm going to shorten the recruitment period. This Friday, November 16th at 5pm Central time will be the new cutoff. So if you have a character that you've yet to submit, please do so before then. I will post my choices and two alternates sometime before 5pm on Monday the 19th. Good luck to all. Today is also the last day to request character feedback from me.
