Sorry you took the brunt of it over the weekend Corbyn. I rolled randomly for who they would attack, and unfortunately, the dice were not with you. You also got hit with a confirmed critical. Nothing personal man, I hope you're still enjoying the game. Also, please let me know if you guys think these fights are too hard. I'm shooting for challenging, not overwhelming. Feedback is appreciated.
I actually wanted to talk to you about your hippogriffenanigans. I had a thought regarding them, and I wanted your opinion on it. I'll shoot you an e-mail.
I am also really enjoying the challenge - that moment where Morin was dead, and then only mostly dead - that was awful and awesome. And may have taught me a lesson or two.
And as much as I don't like to see Corbyn lying on the ground, near-dead and paralyzed, it feels like we've got a chance against the bad dogs of doom. In short, seems like a fair fight, which is way more fun than a pushover.
I have a quick question. I have never played a channeling character, if Chloe channels and doesn't do it selectively, do the dogs take damage?
Unfortunately not. She has to select whether her channels will heal the living or harm the undead every time she channels. I think channels did both in the pathfinder Beta test, but they nerfed that before it went through. Pity, that would have made channeling amazing.
Ultimate Magic has a feat called Quick Channel, which lets a character with 5 ranks in Knowledge(Religion) channel as a move action for the cost of two channel uses, so theoretically, with that feat, Chloe could channel twice in a round if she wanted to, at the cost of four uses of her channel ability. So that's a way she could heal the living and harm the undead in the same round, should she choose to do so.
Only after taking feats to give me more channels, as I have a reduced number as an oracle instead of a cleric. However, I need to keep using Chloe's channels to heal. Right now, if Karo gets hit and Chloe doesn't remove the lifelink, twoud be pretty much fatal, so there's that.

How many XP should we have at this point? I have 100 recorded on Morin's sheet, from early on in this game. But I don't know where we started (since we're 3rd level) or what advancement speed we're using, and I don't think I've recorded it each time we've been given XP.
We're on the medium advancement track. Everyone started with 5,000xp. I have awarded a total of 1135xp per player. 4th level is 9,000xp. If you're ever unsure of how much xp has been awarded, just search the game thread for xp. It will bring up all posts that mention xp. Or you could ask Corbyn. He's pretty good about that sort of thing.
