Since the mimics are both hanging on to Garith and draining him dry of vitality Nasira summons up the power to cast another healing spell completely restring the valiant holy warrior to full health.

Trying to help his cause Gairth goes to free his sword but can't resorting instead to draw Radiance.

Morgrym keeps his hammer from being stuck the first time but hits so hard the second time that the hammer sticks and even Morgrym with his great strength can't pull it back quick enough.

Maelchar swings with his hammer and hits once solidly but the demonic skin prevents half the damage. Maelchar has some quickness about him though and keep his hammer free.

Pakak calls out to the group what is needed to bypass their resistances as he waits for an opportune time to dump some dwarven stout on Garith.

Zeriax peppers the mimics 3d20 ⇒ (13, 7, 1) = 21 for 1d8 ⇒ 5 hitting once but failing to drop the injured creature.

Maranse swings thrice as well 3d20 ⇒ (14, 17, 19) = 50
crit confirm 2d20 ⇒ (13, 7) = 20 but his cold does no damage but the sheer power behind the blow leaves the injured mimic dead but still attached to Garith. (ewww)

Shaking a little from the power that Sarenrae has sent coursing through her in the last few seconds, Nasira sees little she can contribute to the combat and takes a moment to look around the chamber.

Maelchar your first attack hits but only does 3 damage. Since your second attack missed your hammer is not stuck so you don't have to lose it this time.

In a rare moment Zeriax hits only once while Maranse likewise only hits once. 1d6 + 1d8 ⇒ (3) + (4) = 7

Both of them are able to do some minor damage but not enough to kill the creature. Garith struck it as well but was able to free Radiance while Morgrym is beginning to loo like Briar Rabbit and the tar baby with his weapon stuck and also his fist.

The mimic forgoes attacking Garith as he already has someone stuck to him and goes after Morgrym. Since Morgrym is stuck he automatically gets hit for 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17

The hammer falls to the floor as Pakak shows that alcohol really can save a situation and is a must have for all adventuring parties. (I like how you poured it on the hammer and not Morgrym)

Maelchar hits the first time but barely dents the mimic but at least he keeps his hammer in his hand and not on the mimic!

Hearing his hammer fall, Morgrym's snaps his attention in that direction, an angry scowl upon him as he's torn up by the mimic. Seeing it unstuck, his scowl relaxes. "Ooooo, me hammer's free. Good." Returning back to the task at hand, he swings his other claw at the mimic...

Tar baby mimic keeps on absorbing blows but is slowly being whittled down even though Radiance and demon slayer and Morgrym and Morgrym's fist is all attached to it. Threading the needle Zeriax fires thrice 3d20 ⇒ (10, 5, 18) = 33 and Maranse attacks as well 3d20 ⇒ (7, 3, 10) = 20

In a mighty show of ineptitude the Mimi still stands as maelchar hit but not for full damage, Garith had his weapon stuck and the smash hit but not driven back for no damage. Morgrym whiffed horribly. Zeriax hit one but not enough due to the dr and the same an be said for Maranse. Can Nasira end this threat before the mimic slowly devours Morgrym and turns its attention to Garith th the rest?

Indeed Zeriax returns from his stupor and manages to imbed an arrow into the mimic. Garith slashes with his old sword while Maelchar oounds it with his hammer. The mimic goes limp hanging onto Morgrym literally being a dead weight until removed or 5 rounds pass.

You think that the mimics have been here quite a while based on the amount of dust in the room and on the floor. They must have been planted as yes they knew exactly what the banner looked like and even had a permanent magic aura attached to one to make it seem like it was the real banner.

The banner and alter both were mimics yes. Everything else in the room is still there including the statue of Iomedae and the 4 statues tot he side.

The armors on the statues are MW fullplate and the armor on the statue of Iomedae is magical now that the mimics are not covering it up.

The banner was just magic aura spell to make it seem like it was magical. The only magical aura left is on the statue of Iomedae up front.

As the mimic if finished off, Morgrym's anger subsides and he just looks at the thing as it remains attached. "Are ya serious? Is this some kinda joke?" Waiting a few moments more, he's relieved to see the thing finally "unstick" itself to him. Moving over and grabbing his hammer, he gives it a look over and sheathes it. Dusting off his hands, he looks around the room.

Garith raises an eyebrow, at the plate looking more closely.

It says plate needs resizing, so can Garith take a suit and use it? Garith could totally take the plate, +10AC v +11, but the bump for Mael would be pretty good. Just need to get it enchanted later, or some made of mithral eventually =P


Plate does need to be resized to wear comfortably. I would allow someone to wear unfitted plate but suffer a -1 to attacks and an additional -1 to armor check penalty until it is refitted.

Nasira:

Your magical detection reveals that the armor on the statue is truly a set of Armor of the Pious. This gold plated +1 mithral fullplate armor has images of Iomedae's symboletched into its immaculately gleaming surface. The armor requires 24 hours to attune itself to the wearer and her patron deity after which point the images on the armor shift to match the symbol of the wearer's patron deity. If the wearer does not have a patron the images stay showing Iomedae's iconography. Thereafter, once per day the armor's wearer can offer a prayer to her deity as a swift action to increase the armor's enhancement bonus to +2 for 10 rounds. For his duration the wearer also recieves a +2 sacred bonus on saving throws. A holy warrior can activate the armor once per day to use the LoH ability as a paladin equivalent to their character level. A mythic holy warrior gains 1 additional use of mythic power per day. Lastly Armor of the Pious grants proficiency in heavy armor while worn.

If an evil character ever wears the Armor of the Pious they sufffer 2 negative levels. These negative levels disappear when the armor is removed.

Awed by the revelation of the armor's nature, Nasira reaches out hesitantly to touch it. "Truly a gift worthy of a goddess. Only a worthy recipient should use such a magnificent item."

She turns to the others, "Gentlemen, this is armor of the pious. It is a holy treasure the likes of which I have never seen."

That it remained here is a wonder, such fine armor... then glancing at his companions, with a grin, And it doesn't turn into a monster that tries to absorb you when you touch it! That's another mark in its favor! Heh heh. *grimace*

Garith will totally change into the Plate of the Pious. I should have the cash for it, just need to finish the math on the new list, and make sure it's properly streamlined. That means the Elven Chain is up for grabs. Mael mentioned wanting that, so the +2 brestplate can go to Nasira, at least for the time being?
-Morgrym, you didn't want to upgrade your armor, did you, you mentioned reticence about it due to ACP?

once ready we go check the last room that needs clearing up at the top end of the castle?

JUST before moving on to the next area, Maelchar creates a new hammer, casts lead blades on it, and enchants it lawful with his scale... He also recovers Demonslayer if Garith is done with it for now.
