"I see no danger, but I trust Sheelah's senses" - the tiefling adds - "I have a dagger, it will have to do" - he nods at Ringeirr - "And yes, I guess I can still turn into a wolf if fighting becomes a need" - he finished with a smile at Jetro, apparently pleased with the idea.


the group makes it another 25 feet to the west where Ringeirr knows of a small little recess in the buildings that he hopes to take some shelter in and bide their time. However as you come to the corner you see that some crates and a hand cart have been overturned creating a small rudimentary barricade. Behind the barricade you see the squat stumpy figures of 4 winter goblins. Alerted by Sheelah you are not too surprised and you suspected something to be afoot.

The goblins whoop and holler at the sight of you as the goblin that Sheelah caught the scent of appears from the rooftop again (20ft up) and throws a flask at the group. The bomb flies towards Duardlara and explodes in burst of flame that hits Sheelah, Venja and Jetro as well.

Duardlara casts mage armor, cursing herself for not being better prepared. As the eldritch glow fades over her and the spell takes effect, she moves to AE28.


Correct no chance of catching fire this time. That is only in wrath that something like that would happen...I did forget to say that those in the splash damage could make a reflex save DC 14 for half damage.

Venja just double checking but I do not see anywhere that it has distraction or any other secondary effects on your swarm correct?

Ringeirr there is nothing different about winter snow goblins than regular goblins outside of their color.

Venja summons a swarm of frogs to target the goblin on top of the building while Jetro gets his bow and arrows out. Ringeirr moves up to threaten the goblins but his club does little to show any signs of a threat. Helgash tries to come to reason with the goblins but they just laugh Look at the pansy winter wolf. Bring the pansy down Clearly diplomacy is a wasted effort but others may not be so wasted. Duardlara moves to the east and protects herself with a mage armor spell hoping that it will deflect most of the blows coming her way. Sheelah moves away from the fire taking the cart with her but Jetro was still able to get his weapons out.

Round 2

The alchemist at the top of the building moves out of the swarma nd then lobs another flask at Venja covering Jetro as well. ranged touch attack 1d20 + 8 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (18) + 8 + 1 - 2 = 25 for 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 1) + 2 = 7 Jetro reflex save DC 14 for 2 fire or fail and take 4 damage

"Pansy you say?" - Helgash roars, moving forward with dagger in hand, and stabbing hard at the closest goblin - "I'm sure your entrails will not think the same!" - he adds, unusually aggressive for the paladin.

Not really sure which one is up after the actions from the others - Helgash will move in on the closest one still standing.

ringeirr, I think you were looking at the old map based on your coordinates. As such I don't see it possible to get the flank you are trying for. Ad lib'ing so hopefully that is ok.

Jetro, with bow and arrows in hand starts off by unleashing a solid blow to the lead goblin that would have killed a normal goblin. These goblins thouhh seem a bit tougher and better trained. (class levels) Not to be outdone though a second arrow comes quickly after the first and the second arrow does indeed drop the front goblin.

Venja directs the swarm onto the bomber again as the alchemist is starting to show signs of major damage.

Ringeirr directs Sheelah with the cart to attack the goblins while he does as well. (correct on the handle animal at +1) Sheelah is able to move up and bite the second goblin in line but Ringierr just missed by not being able to flank. the goblin was not to be long for this world though.

Helgash, with a roar at being called a pansy, rushes forward shocking everyone. With a mere dagger he slams it into the wounded goblin and kills it leaving just 2 remaining onthe ground and the bomber up on the roof. really, 10 points of damage with a dagger? Impressive...

MUAH!!! At last! Power attack! Since it only came online about at the same time my BAB hit +4, that sudden +8 to damage with a 1h weapon makes quite a difference regarding what Helgash usually does :D

Duardlara sees that the goblins on the ground appear to be well in hand, so she directs her arcana at the one on the roof.

After letting the missiles fly, she moves toward the scrum on the ground.

Not clear where everyone will be or which goblins are down, but I think moving to Z28 will work. Feel free to ad-lib if you think that doesn't make sense.


Duardlara aims at the alchemist with her deadly magic missle and the twin bolts fly true as always killing the goblin on the rooftop. The 2 remaining goblins see what happened and scram out of the area before they too end up like their comrades.

all is not over though as Ringeirr spots movement to the north west. The creature there is known to him slightly. Damn it, That is a mirror man. They are the watch dogs of the winter witches so to speak. They roam around looking to uncover anything to report back to their masters and it is in the way of our food delivery. We either have to hide the bodies of the goblins and hide ourselves, kill it or make it ignore us or we could be in trouble. Hurry...

Well, if I understand the pelt's powers correctly - to all effects, Helgash should 'look' like a winter wolf in human form - correct?

The tiefling approaches the fallen goblins with a snarl, starting to relieve them of their properties (not sure if there is anything useful to us) and roaring - "Why would you rats ever think I would give up my catch? Since when does a wolf bow to mice?!"

Shh, gimme a minute, Ringier whispers. And gets to work. He looks for an empty building, or one with a friend in it, and the tries to unlock the door as quietly as possible, oiling the hinges and then getting to work.

To Helgash, he says, "You and I will be fine, but the others need to make themselves scairce, hide themselves up on a roof, or in one of the houses real quick. Else we'll have to fight it, and be quick about that looking at the others as well, trying to get the door so they can hide.


It will take Ringeirr a full 2 rounds to find the door, get his lock picks out and unlock the door.

If nothing from Duardlara by tonight i will bot her to move to the next round in this scenario.

Not being much for climbing up onto roofs, Venja just hides behind Helgash until Ringeirr gets the door open.

Round recap...

With the alert from Ringeirr everyone goes in different directions to try and cover up their actions. Helgash's loud boisterous voice echoes in the alley in a rage against the goblins. Venja moves teh swarm 40ft away as they can't be dismissed but will expire next round anyways.

Jetro spends the time stashing his bow and arrows under the fish, once again making him seem less threatening. Duardlara helps Ringeirr look for an escape route and a viable door to open. Together they find one that is locked but does not have any lights from the building. Hoping that there is no one home Ringeirr gets out his thieves tools.

The mirror men continus his trek to the south and you loose sight of him for a moment as buildings are in the way.

Second round thus far...

Jetro manages to hide well one of the goblins while Ringeirr gets the lock picked but the door is still shut. The fang swarm disappears leaving Venja, Helgash, and Duardlara still to go.

Ringeirr gets the door unlocked as Venja takes full opportunity to open the door and move in. Duardlara and Jetro grab the last remaining goblin and half carry half drag the goblin into the building with them. all that leaves is Helgash and Ringeirr outside with Sheelah when the mirror man reappears south of the buildings to the west. It seems to be taking its time as it walks methodically onward looking at the buildings closest to it and not yet in your direction. Should you act quickly and quietly you might be able to escape its attention but for Sheelah and the cart outside.

Good guys up round 3 of this scenario. Jetro, Venja and Duardlara are in the house.

He then proceeds in acting as casual as possible, stacking the fish neatly back together on the cart, and actually throwing one at Sheelah in the process, with a wink.

Ooooh how I wished Bluff was a class skill for Helgash - adding even a single point to it would make a difference :/

The mirror man stops and stares at Helgash and Ringeirr for the longest time. It seems to peer at the house as well where everyone else is hiding but that could just be coincidence. finally it starts coming closer and closer to the cart and Sheelah. Once it can see what is in the cart and that Helgash is doing the labor it intones in almost a mechanical voice. You should have your slaves do that for you.

It stares looking at you for 20 seconds as Helgash keeps working with just a grunt of a reply. Apparently the grunt was enough as finally the mirror man turns north and continues his slow walk down the street. It is 5 minutes though before he is fully out of sight.

once teh Mirror man is safely away, Ringierr whispers to the group, Alright, here's the issue, I need to get my cargo off-loaded, and if we have any more trouble, I may not be able to. But once we do that, we won't have the fish for movin yer friend's body. We could try to get to get your papers in order first, then maybe avoid trouble while making the delivery... but I've got a job to do, and want to get it done sooner rather than later.

Helgash cannot help but laugh at Jetro's words - "I'm not even sure that would work, do you think it would?" - his tone goes dead serious then - "Do you think slaves would get eaten like that?"

Turning to Ringeirr, he adds decisively - "Let us keep the fish for now. If any harm comes to your cargo, we will make sure to compensate you for the lost value. Sounds fair?"
