Turning slightly in your arms she trails one hand up your back till her fingers can play with your hair. Her other hand she points towards the direction you already came down unbeknownst to her. I am sure that if you keep following that direction she will be found in one of the rooms there.

Hand still playing with Jetro's hair she asks coyly, You don't mean me do you? I would hate to be called other stuff.

Answering Helgash though she ponders resting in Jetro's embrace,The cookbook of Augmentation? No, I am sorry I have not heard of that. What does it look like? Maybe I have seen it without realizing it. There is so much stuff here in Artrosa that is just sitting on shelves or seems to be in random locations.

Duardlara keeps her distance, uncertain as to what to make of the woman's actions. Is she what she seems? Is anything in this place what it seems?

Taking your leave of Caigrial, which is quite difficult with the way she is pressing her body up against Jetro, you take the path that she mentioned. Duardlara gets a funny feeling as this was the same path that Poryphanes was taking her down earlier as well.

Right where the group finally caught up and freed the kidnapped elf a chamber opens up to the left while the passage continues down. The chamber entrance is an elaborate stone arch. Beyond the stone arch lies an impossible expanse of broad meadow in bright daylight filled with swaying wildflowers. A young farm maiden stands in the center of the field, her right arm draped over the muscular neck of a great ox. Seeing you pass along she turns and stands there with a curious look seeing what you are up to. Meeting her eye she gives a friendly wave in greeting but does not say anything.

That is interesting news you bring Helgash. If what you say is true then please answer me this, what are the giants and centaurs doing here?

Turning to Duardlara the maiden answers with a slight shake of her head side to side. All things coexist in nature with a certain balance. When that balance is disrupted then how they coexist is threatened as well. If Baba Yaga has befallen some ill will then there are those who would seek to take advantage of it.

Almost ignoring the last part from Duardlara she finally does answer, I am here because its a choice I once made.

Lastly she turns to Venja as she studies the once was apprentice winter witch, Thank you for the kind words of the oasis. Yet you of all people should know from your initial studies that it is wise to say little regarding Baba Yaga. Much is assumed about her but little is truly known. Does that satisfy your inquiry? I am not Baba Yaga's kin if you must know.

We found a couple of them near the entrance that is guarded by that killer tree. Dunno how they got in.


She nods her head at Jetro and shrugs her shoulders, If you find out more about them please let me know. In the meantime I find that I like the sound of your voices. Until next time... She removes her hand from the ox and you see a ring of gold around her third finger. Turning it with her thumb she disappears but not before something small and metallic drops to the ground.

All around her the beautiful spring vista disappears leaving the room cold, dank, and dreary. The ox paws the ground and you realize it is not an ox anymore but something much worse: a gorgon.

Helgash moves forward taking control of the center of the scrum preventing any advance by the gorgon. Greta moves laterally to him and with her speed manages to get in a heavy handed attack that draws forth gouts of blood.

Beck boosts Sheelah's offensive firepower as the kitty piunces forward with fang and claw. Only 1 of her claws manages to hit the gorgon though but it penetrates the thick skin to draw blood as well.

Hoping the fighters can hold their own against the mighty Gorgon Jetro, Venja and Duardlara scatter out of sight of the beast but not before Duardlara lets fly with a shot from her bow.

Jetro fires a perfectly placed shot that hits the gorgon right between the eyes. The gorgon stands there stunned, eyes blinking as Helgash and Greta make steaks out of the flanks of the beast. The gorgon falls to the ground dead in a pool of his own blood but what damage did he cause to the party as Sheelah and Beck are immobile as they have been turned to stone...

That was quick...and deadly

You know that Beck and Sheela should not be permanently turned to stone. A gorgon's breath attack requires 2 instances before they are completely paralyzed and turned to stone. The effect should wear off in less than a minute.
