I apologize for being a little late in the gameplay thread. I don't think I said, but I'm studying for my medical state licensing boards first week of April and so have been distracted.
I went ahead and bought equipment for Agatha. I upgraded her Silversheen falchion to masterwork (300gp) and bought a Skinsaw mask (1500 gp). The mask has been spelled out in my alias.
I should be up and running now with a stats bar and everything.
Thats cool RL comes first. Letting me know is the main thing, so I can bot you etc.
Silversheen weapons cost 750 + weapon cost BUT do come with MW already built into the cost.
If its alchemical silver? I think big weapons cost 70gp to silver? then pay the extra 300gp for MW but -1 for slashing damage.

Just throw the wolf in when you are using him. To be honest I hadn't considered the animal companion thing. I think for the 1st two parts you'll be without him but after that? He's with you for the lot.

I am confused on the silver weapon. I thought we were getting a silver weapon free. Is that one of the ones that is -1 slashing damage? If so, I'll have to pass - Agatha can't take something with less slicer dicer.
As to alchemical silver, I'd probably just wait to enchant a blade over paying 750 gp. That's a lot of cash and I'm not that far from enchanting it if I hold on to my cash.
As we aren't using weapons in this fight, no hurry on resolving this issue.
We got a silver dagger free, but most of us aren't using daggers, so some of us (me included) shelled out to silver our weapon(s).
I figured it was better to be able to harm spawn and not vampires than be unable to harm both effectively.
My solution was silvering a bludgeoning weapon.
Understood. I'm going to have to go with the silversheen then. Gotta have my slicer-dicer and I'm paying 300 for the masterwork. Another 450 will get me the silver I need and I'll enchant it when it seems convenient. I could come in with it and enchant it very quickly, but I'd rather have my Skinsaw mask for the cool RP.
Once I pay for the weapon, silversheen and mask I have 680 gp. I don't need to buy anything else. I'll keep the silver dagger to throw at people and anything else I need I'll just grab off a victim. 8)
Make sure you are tracking your HPs on your status bar. IF you want you can also add it to the Roll20 site red circle as a x/X format
I am a little confused about the vampire race rules.
We were allowed 2 vampire abilities. I choose darkvision and fangs. I assumed that we got two powers, pick them now. Not we get to powers to use, change them every morning or that some of the powers were the pick 2 and some were for everyone. I thought that part was unclear.
I can use my fangs to get 1d4+1/2 levels temporary hit points that last 1 hour. Biting a living, unwilling person is an evil act.
I assume that this means that biting a living, unwilling non-combatant is an evil act. Seems to me that once you are in a fight, whether you bite someone or stab them are morally equivalent.
Or is it the slurping bit that constitutes an evil act? Don't smack your lips and you remain neutral, use a napkin and you remain good? 8)
Regardless, since the hit points last 1 minute, I assume then that you can only do it once per minute? If not, then I'm either getting a lot of temporary hit points or am healing 1d4+1/2 levels with every bite. That seems excessive to me but your mileage may vary.
And then I thought I remember something about how we can bite people and gain more vampire powers, but if we get all of them we become NPCs. I can't find that bit again however, so I've been afraid to take temporary hit points.
I also don't want to be too evil right out of the gate. I'm going more for the cackling comedy of Harley right now and saving the murderous insanity of Puddin' for later.

Yes, that means that biting them and not drinking isn't evil, and yes it's really damn stupid, but when I wrote it I wanted to stick within the RAW of the game as closely as possible, and that's it. You can thank SKR for that.
Make sure to read the whole thing, there's some fun logic in there.
Also, Temp HP from the same source don't stack.

I can just make it a series of rolling encounters too. I remember asking you if you wanted the social/plot experience.
As I think you've noticed, Agatha is only half interested in our job and is more interested in having fun. With that said however, she is establishing a presence and getting people to remember her. I thought this might come in handy later if the obvious round of question answering doesn't work.
That's why I'm trying to be friendly yet scary at the same time. 8)
