*sigh* So I manage to be actually effective with shuriken and it ends up being negated by surprise rules - oh, and Scoria is the only one to get hit again. -_- 2nd level can't get here fast enough.

Scoria winces as the goblin's cutter slices into her side - confound it. Why were they always coming after her? Maybe they saw her decorative fleshgems as something they wanted. Regardless, Scoria takes a step back, throwing a set of shuriken at her assailant. "Switch!" She calls to the party, hoping that someone would step in so she could tend to her wound.

5ft step back to C13, Flurry of Shuriken. For future purposes, if we're ever in a surprise round again, her action then will be Total Defense. Every time. No Exceptions.

For some reason I keep getting a "500 server error" when I try to see the map. Also, since the gobs go before all of us, could you update them on the map when they go before you link it. When I could see it, I didn't have time to figure out where they ended up, and now I can't see it.

Thaddeus steps once unto the breach, hoping to insert himself alongside Iron-forged, to strike at the goblin at the fore threatening Scoria. He prays for divine assistance, "Bringer of righteousness, bless my blade that it may strike sure against the enemies of civility and peace." and swings. The nimble little thing dodged away from his swing just as easily as it avoided that of Iron-forged.

Move, to square between Scoria and the goblin if possible.

Notick quickly rotates his torso out of the way of the swinging goblin. Shaking his head at the creature as he swings his exotic blade for the creature - his eyes still shining with anger for their massacre of the workers, but the realization of his luck flashing in his mind.

He decides a quick retreat, but helping Bel'Tanis with his pressing attack.

Bel'Tanis your quick reactions allow you to attack the goblin making a flying leap at Notick. Your scimitar nearly cleaves the little beast in two.

Scoria your flurry of punches catches the goblin square in the face instantly killing it.

Thaddeus you quickly move into position against the goblin that Ironforged is battling, taking it out as it is distracted trying to avoid the barbarian's klar.

Once in position though, he spins around and brings the scimitar arcing down in a vicious diagonal slash.

Having problems seeing the map again, but as it flashes before the error pops up,I think I'm already beside Goblin 6.

Thaddeus swings out at the creature, hoping to put an end to this fight, but it easily dances away from his blade.

Khrondak shakes off the goblin's attack swinging the earth-breaker once again. The massive hammer's head goes down cracking the table as, once more, the goblin easily dodges the attack.

Scoria looks at the little monster dancing around on the table with annoyance, before lashing out with several blows.

Scoria's first punch slams hard into the goblin's throat, making it choke and sputter. Her second blow is an elbow jab right to the creature's temple, making it fall over on the table and twitch uncontrollably before laying still, dead.

"Are we finished, now?" Scoria asks, almost bored.

As the last goblin falls, Midori starts a frantic search among the bodies, hoping not to find Ameiko.

No no, I believe that Bel'Tanis finished off Goblin 1. Scoria and Midori were attacking Goblin 6, the one surrounded by them and Khrondak and Thaddeus on the map. You even said that it went down to Bel'Tanis' blow. Both of us just finished off the last one.

Scoria takes a look at the Lord Kaijutsu's body - such a terrible way to go. The same could be said for all of the workers here - hopefully some of them had managed to hide away or lock themselves up so that they couldn't be killed.

She looked over at Thaddeus, speaking her mind. "We should search the Glassworks for Ameiko now. Perhaps we will also uncover a clue to how these goblins managed to infiltrate this place without anyone noticing as well."

Once everyone is ready to start moving along, Scoria will start searching as they move along, taking her time in doing so.

Unless everyone is in a rush, Scoria will take 20 on all her Perception checks as they search the Glassworks - total result, 27.

I actually think taking 10 may be a better idea for times sake. We may have to pursue someone - taking the time for a full indepth search that taking 20 could require could make the trail go too cold.

Notick, the quizzical individual who lacks the typical social graces, walks over to Ameiko's deceased father and checks over his corpse in pursuit of any clues. "[/b]I don't understand why they would kill him, especially if he's the one who had hired them as we thought... This is making less and less sense with each step.[/b]"

Thaddeus takes in the macabre scene of the room, deciding that there is only so much they could gain right now, and agreeing to act with haste. "We do not know the situation, whether these beasts turned on Lord Kaijitsu, or were directed by another. We are still missing Tsuto and Lady Kaijitsu, and I agree that we are best served now by moving through the place with less caution and more hurry."

He moves to examine any other doors exiting the room, hoping that their quarry lay just beyond any of them.

As the last goblin falls, Bel'Tanis snaps his scimitar into the sheath. He joins Midori in frantically calling out Ameiko's name. "Ameiko! AMEIKO!"

You are correct Scoria, Bel'Tanis did indeed kill Goblin 1.

You find nothing more of interest in this room. There is a double door on the far wall from where the party entered.

Scoria looks over at both Bel'Tanis and Midori, speaking up to them, calmly. "You should not shout. There may be more goblins around, and if so, you'll only alert them to our presence. Try and maintain calm - we will find her."

She'll lead the way out through the double doors towards the south, keeping quiet - she does not want to alert any more goblins if she can help it.

By your suggestion, she'll take 10 instead - 17 should find some stuff without taking too long about it. She'll also take 10 on her Stealth check for 17 as well.

Thaddeus nods at Scoria's assessment of the shouting, actually agreeing with the woman. "We should try to move forward with both speed, and silence. The surprise of our entrance helped us get the upper hand on the large group here."

He follows along with Scoria, relighting his blade whenever it is needed for darkened corridors. It's easily obvious that sneaking wasn't a strong part of his religious training.
