there is no bath in here; this room is very empty.

but after a couple minutes several acolytes come in with steaming bowls of water and some rags and a bunch of scraping sticks; another pushes in metal cart with a bunch of glowing red rocks; they pour a quantity of water on the rocks and the room begins to fill with scented steam; feels very relaxing as your realize just how gritty and grimy and covered with all kinds of garbage you all are; well except for Aahz and Kalona and Nebibit and Kenembi, being cats, naturally are cleaner than the rest of you; but still; blood; entrals; dried extoplasm; dirt and dust from the climb; you guys have had a full day

One acolyte places the rags on the ground in a circle and motions for you to follow; he disrobes; and motions for you to do so, giving his meager garmet to an acolyte; who waits presumably to collect yours.

in a soft rythmic voice the monk states: "your garmets will be washed and returned."

on his leg; side, back and arms you can see a series of masterful tattoes that must have taken a very long time to do by a very good craftsman. this man also has very little body fat; many scars and callouses; some scars are very large.

"Sit and let the steam drain away the days troubles. Scrape off the baggage you carry with you in its entirety; then cast those troubles in the fire."

He begins to use some reed like sticks to gently whip his skin causing it to flush; sweat and steam mearge and he begins to rythmically scrape at his skin and flick it into the fire.

one acolyte maintains the hot rocks and the steam. Other will leave once those who will bathe have given thier things to be laundered and repaired.

Nebibit's and Kenembi's fur coats become damp from the steam; but the herb smell rather nice.

The Monk:
about 6ft tall, placid, serious demeaner.
thin and wirey, oriental and spanish features; his head is mosty bald and shaved except for the top which has a clump of hair pulled into a long braid which ends at his lap.
The tattoes, none of which could be seen with his robe and pants on, have many creatures, greens and blacks and reds and yellows or most dominate; devils of the orient; dragons, temple dogs, an oriental building ,but main tatoo on his chest and back that really grabs your attention is that of as beautiful oriental lady, perhaps a goddess, blowing and immense wind; the wind seems cold and blows down from his shoulder to his thigh.

Just for the record, I said 'young', not 'short' ;)

Kemnebi watches as Aahz's voice changes thoughtfully, then blinks in utter surprise at his outburst. He looks to Nebibit as Aahz goes over to Kalona, then takes a breath and follows him.

Kemnebi kneels down with Kalona and Aahz, and says softly,...

"I apologize Aahz, I intended no joke or offense. I was merely referring to the fact that you LOOK young. It is easy to forget that you have easily lived longer than all of us in this group put together."

"And of COURSE you are good enough! Again, I meant no offense. You can be whatever you wish! For that is the gift of youth, no matter your race or origin. The promise of the future, the potential to grow, to learn, to understand things that you had not seen before. The true gift of life is that you can be whatever you wish to be, you have but to try and strive for it."

Kemnebi sits back on his heels, as if he has just realized something. He glances over at Nebibit, his childhood friend and partner in countless arguments regarding divinity, and the mortals need for them, or not. He looks slightly embarrassed, then very thoughtful.

"Aahz, Kalona. I have spent so much time, and worked so very hard, trying to 'grow up' and get out from under my teacher's watchfulness, that I think I may have forgotten a very important point. May,... May I play with you?" He asks, a kitten-like look on his face.

If Aahz agrees, Kemnebi will sit and play with them for a while, and just try to have a little fun with Aahz and Kalona. Then he will take his much-needed rest to regain his spell-power.

I shrug st Aahz's statement about the drow.

In the Mindlink. Hey June. You get out okay? Not expecting a reply. Knowing she has been silent his the battle against the Gnoll Ghost. All I can do is hope she, as well as my cousin are both safe out there.

I move over the the towels and bowls of water. I take my armour and cloths off while covering myself with a towel to keep myself decent. I clean my wounds, and I watch as the clear water turns a deep red. I move over to the steam area. I take note of the dozens of cuts and scratchs that cover my body as my muscles being to relax in the heat of the steam. I let the dull throb of pain lull me into a meditation. To forget the troubles of the world at least for a few minutes.

Male Dwarf Cleric 6 (Earth and Protection Domain)

I move around the room, offering to heal those with injuries before I take my rest and refreshments.

When I get to Llevnoc, all I can offer is an appologetic smile "Sorry Lad, me God's not ter be helpin' ye unless ye plan on changin' ter another race"

When I have provided all the ad that the others are after, I strip down from my armour and clothing and follow the monks lead. The cleansing feels good, and lets my mind ponder the purpose that Moradin and Durmathoin have left for me.

ooc- I'll offer healing to any that need it. I have 3 cure lights and three cure moderate wounds for anyone to use. Cure lights a 1d8+6, cure moderates are 2d8+7. Aahz, Decidio, Namaste all join the circle and disrobe for the sweat bathing.

Aahz is just a very skinny, wiry kid; seems very enthusiastic and thinks its all great fun.

Namaste is tranquil and seems deep in meditation and tranquility as she participates but is very internalized and doesnt seem to be with the rest of you.

Decidio carefully disrobes, she seems very self conscious; she is beautiful beyond belief; whatever your idea of perfection is; she seems to attain it more and more as you look at her; if you going to look at her more than a few moments then I need to know.

Aahz says; "wow, Decidio; your beautiful but sometime you seem to have many shadows; I wonder if my mother looked like you" then he goes back to trying to copy the monk.

Mr Painted Man; who painted you; can I get painted too; that is cool; hey; we can all paint each other.

Kalona giggles a bit at the various Erkholt remarks but sends privately through the mindlink a sense of understanding sympathy for his predictment both at Kosan and Llvenoc.

To Aahz she answers his question/comments as best she can but is goggling almost as much as he, its not often she is in underground complexes.

In relation to the intracate door she is both agahst and amazed.

"Wow, that...that is quite an item there...it moves there and then that happens, then that, amazing. But, why? It seems quite inconvenient to have such an obstacle...hmmm...I can only think that whoever built this place really made someone else so mad they had to shut themselves off from everyone...I wonder what they did?"

...on to the sauna,

"oh, cleaning time...a bit hot and moist, like summer in the jungle."
...noticing the large pot they are spooning the water out of...
"Ah just perfect." She wades right into the pot, dips her beak in here and there and sprays herself and rubs her feathers down.

At the sound oh the Grymbol and Erkholt offering up healing she breaks into a song...it sounds lively to those around but the words are foreign...nice bathing song. She sings it until it appears no more healing is going around.

Magical visions spoiler;

Spoiler:
A soft white magical glow decends on everyone in the room, the energy is filled with life if that can be descerned. Probably positive plane energy for those who can tell such things

Those healing during the singing and for 5 rounds afterward:

Spoiler:
this song has the effect of adding +9 to all magical healing done that comes from casting conjuration (healing) spells.

After that song she pauses for a bit and looks around. If it appears the healing is done, she dips her beak in the water and sprays herself a bit more. Then launches into another song. This one more of a lullaby in tempo, though fairly long (several minutes) as if telling a story as well. Again in a language most cant speak. if it turns out someone can learn and wants to know what the songs are about let me know and I will spoiler the info

Magical visions spoiler;

Spoiler:
similar to above but it appears softer if possible, less concentrated but slowly being absorbed by everyone's body

Everyone in the room...note that if it appears she misses anyone she will get them later before sleeping...will wake up in the morning refreshed as if they had complete bed rest for 24 hours, I believe that is 2x character level in hit points and probably some drain/damage, fatigue, exhaustion and the like but I dont have that handy

After relaxing in the steam awhile. I will leave and reclothe myself. I will take up my guquin, and look for a seperate room to play in so I don't disturb the others. I will play a song for my patron. It has been three days since I have had the opportunity to do so. It will be a song of longing, and remembering. Longing for friends and loved ones. Remembering why we fight for them. Play Guquin d20=20+10=30.

Wish I would have saved that roll for combat.

I will not partake of the food. Since I ate at the arena and before at the mansion. When I finish playing I will return to the others and pick a cot to get some sleep.

Kemnebi relaxes in the steam, and tries several of his usually successful meditative techniques for relaxing and resting, and focusing the mind.

They are less than successful. The recent maelstrom of events, and the whirlwind of activity and conversation, both verbal and mental, that flies around this group has his furry head spinning. And no matter how hard he tries, his mind, his passions, and even his guilt at what he feels is his failure to keep a promise all have his thoughts continuously circling back around to the same point.

"June,..."

To be continued, at least in my 'journal', IF I ever get to update the silly thing! Just always so busy! ;)

I could help you better if you could tell me why you have an interest in him. I am certain I already know the answer from what The Acorn, The Jewel, The second Oracle, and the Elder Fey told me at the Sun Gods Temple Mount. I just want to hear it from the Monks lips to be certain.

Out loud: Kalona must you always prove yourself a fool by speaking vehemently of what you know nothing of.

To the Monk out loud: Why do you seek information on Lorm Dragonheart. He has been known for a long time to my family. Is your intent to hurt him in any way? Tell me true master monk are ye Friend or Foe of Lorm Dragonheart.

I heard he was that empernagors ambassassinor at Tarantis; some wet northern city and that he murdered his wife horribly to get the job, and that he has a enchanted pet Margoyle and is worshipped by ratmen and lead a bunch of freedom fighters into a big trap and got them all murdered for the pleasure of his evil masters.

<looks around at everyone>

well, that IS what I heard, guess he visits the Well of Life; whatever that is, on the southern continent a lot and spent a lot of time in the jumble there.

people talk you know; seems like every old guy thinks it is his job to tell stories to kids, hehe which is pretty cool by the way; I like stories; and Lorm Feyslayer is in a bunch. I heard he swore to exterminate the whole lot of them fey on some ancient altar not to far from where I was born. But then, I also heard he aint to bright and is scared all the time from some ancient curse he laid on his homeland before he left and since he is always distracted; High Priest Balfic appointed one of his luetents Aunts kids to tell him what to blow up in a fight since he is always ducking monks from his homeland..that..oh boy.

capturing and holding a fey princess will have catacysmic consequences; are you friends agents of chaos? do they not now that the last time a fey princess; thus the youngest of the three near diefic queens of faerie was held; it causes an ice age that nearly swallowed the earth and lasted seven hundred years until the balance between Summer and Winter was restored.

restore the youngest of the Queens of Faerie to her rightful place and avert the death of many millions. I this how it happens; is this how Lorm destroy the fae as Summer battles Winter until summer is extinct and thus the fae without Summer are to weak to stop the incurssion of the demons from the pit.

it is as the ancient scroll of Chang Suel Sam Sang said it would be; and thus all engineered by Lorm; who fled his homeland with the Spetum of Ancient Knowledge thus throwing the High Court of the Emperor into chaos and loosing the plague of demons upon the earth.

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

the monk calmly replies: to answer your question dwarf; I am interested in his atonement.

Male Drow 5th lvl Fighter/2 Order of the Bow (Crossbow) Initiate

I think about the Monks words for a minute before I speak. From what I have seen this Lorm isn't the atoning type. Doesn't have a backbone either. Figure when you shoot a Mage they will say something or just simply blast you. Instead he jumped back and cast more defensive magic on himself. He does have powerful allies though. An Order of Masked Mages.

I challenged him with allegiations of his deeds. He said nothing in his defense. The same allegiations I have heard repeated to me in this room. Even when I told him that Kemnebi and Nebebit were cursed for simply looking like him. He acted like he didn't care.

As for the Margoyle; her name is Cera. She is definately not a friend of Lorms. I met her earlier today. She arrived through a gateway with a horde of Ratmen and Goblins.

Even though Lorm has many powerful allies with this Emperor. He is having a growing number of powerful enemies as well. I become quiet' deep in thought for a moment. Thinking about the words shared here in this room. Conservations with the Acorn and the Oracle that seems so long ago. If the Fey fall because of him. There allies will turn against the Emperor who protects him. With a war of such scale no nation would be left standing. The Daemons would have free reign.

Kemnebi follows the conversation as he dries and fluffs his fur. At first with mere curiosity, but soon with growing attention and concern as the subject changes to captive Fey, the battle between Summer and Winter, and Demons.

"Oh, yeah. That would be 'bad'. I would classify that as 'bad'." He mumbles softly with his usual talent for understatement. He glances aside at Grymbol, to see if he has any reaction.

"Hmmph. It would seem that after we deal with our current quests, rescuing the goddess and freeing the Green Man, I may have to have words with 'Lorm'." He murmurs to Nebibit. (Not whispering, just speaking softly, any close or listening can hear him.)

"After all, if he's going to go around making such an impression on others that we can be cursed merely for looking like him, then I suppose It's only fair that we 'ask' him to,... reconsider his behavior." He adds wryly.

The monk speaks:

If you have no more questions; I shall leave; sleep well. I believe your day tomorrow will be full; maybe you attain victory.

he lingers a moment to see if anyone speaks; then will leave.
