Erkholt, if you try to cast a heal on a drow; it will fail; your going to have to give one heck of a prayer to convince Moradin to heal a blood enemy, even one not evil or against you; grudges you know; after all; they are currently at war with Kosan and his tribe so their familiarity is a little hard to understand so soon.

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

Kenembi and Nebebit,
you dont see the kitten; but scanning the feild and the stands seems fruitful.

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

ok; anyone looking out the box toward the field; Llvenoc, Kosan, Kenembi, Nebebit and the Kobold; all see several things; I think the other party members are engaged in in-room things. Not sure what Thoronhen is doing; other are engaged in conversation and healing.

The goblins score another victory and after the goal, while the ref is going to get the ball and reset the teams; a black spot opens in the field

anyone with arcane knowlege can roll or anyone with guild knowlege; "theives or assassins guild"

a wierd thing happens on the feild; from the hole climbs a Northman; a rough looking pretty tuff guy; but he looks sheepish and a bit wild.

A halfling in very fine clothes climbs out behind him; obviously berating the Northman with very unkind words; the Northman has his hands out like "hey, its not my fault...again" the halfling looks around; rolls up the black spot; the barbarian looks at the Ogres and snarls; seems to be getting a bit bigger; the halfling throws some beer in his face to get his attention; a quick conversation; the Barbarian looks around; his face amazed; stunned actually; then enbarrassed that so many are lookin at him; get a bit cowardly; and the two run for the sides; each an opposite direction till the halfling hit hits the barbarian with a clod of sod and they run toward a figure on the side lines (goblin side) that is waving a strange flag.

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

now; the goblins shriek and yell; some outright faint; the team runs to the far end of the feild; (anyone with sense motive; can auto figure out the goblins are terrified of the halfling; anyone doing it untrained; need a 12, you can take a 10 if you like or spend entra time and take a 20)

the goblin team is practically fleeing the dugout and team stands; the coach fainted; the ogres look a bit scared; but then they see the goblins reaction and start laughing so hard they can barely stand; one ogre doesnt get it; scratches his head; picks up the ball and runs for a touchdown; score Ogres.

ok; the thug with the flag; you notice what is so strange about him; he is practically naked; pretty much a flag and loin cloth and he still looks nervous; is a big burly Human.

so; the human starts leading them...hmmm, as luck would have it; right to your guys box; they should be here soon; Still looking? the crowd nervously parts around them giving them pleanty of room; the barbarian is growling and looking tuff and thinks it is because of his fearsome appearance; and he does look pleanty feirce; really tuff with good gear; a black eye; cut lip; lots of bruises; tuff as nails; but the crowd is really afraid of that well dressed halfling, wierd. They give him hateful stares and scoot back; quickly.

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

Ah; the kobold with the party says.

"right on time; it would seem grandmaster Bob's known in these parts, yes, this will do nicely."

The kobold; with his three foot nothing stature; looks at you sternly; with a grandfatherly look "I would advise you all to be very polite to Master Bob, none of this rabble rousing; Master Bob is not so forgiving as I; see how he mentors yon Human, you do not wish that to be you. They have been "offically lost" for quite some time now.

The Kobold clears some chairs and makes some room; "the barbarian can be hard of furniture" he explains; he puts all the furnishings to the side of the room; those who help will get appreciative nods.

Well isn't that something.... I try to follow where the Halfing and Barbarian run to. Trying to catch a look at who is waving the flag. Spot d20=12+4=16

Realizing they are heading straight for us. I scan the other box seats to see if I can spot my cousin in any of them. Spot d20=14+4=18

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

ok; the second thing each of you four see out the window; as the goblins exit; there is a vaccum in space around that area; and there is a somewhat familar sight.

Its June; she is a cheerleading with the Goblins; the other goblin cheerleaders are invigored by here and stay; so they just keep on cheering then stop. And begin coaxing the goblin team back to the stands and back on the field.

The ref is calling for the game to continue; the goblins are very demoralized and keep looking toward the box; a couple get crunched and the Ogres score again quickly; the cleer leaders get the coach revived and start getting the crowd back into it.

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

The party has a few moments to act.

Kosan

Spoiler:

you have heard whatever you brother would have told you about Master Bob; he visits you clan quite a bit...but lives in the south; you know he loves a good pipe of tobacco.

In the Mindlink. Nice pom poms June. Good way to work it, and get the crowd and the team back into the game!

To everyone in the room. So who is this Master Bob? What can you tell us of him? Seeing the crowd he obviously has a reputation. What subjects are best avoided around him? I am amazed and curious what this Halfling has done that makes all these people ready to stampede to get out of his way.

Not being comfortable with all the attention being drawn to this box. The only positive note I see is it might draw my cousins gaze this way.

Having seen my efforts to heal the Dark Elf fail, my countenance darkens somewhat. Having tried to heal my companions, I then go and check on the two cat folk who have rejoined us. It is the first chance I've had to really get to see them and I am curious, but wary.

[To the cat folk] - "Are ye ok? There was some talk as to ye bein' in trouble earlier. If'n ye be needin' some healin' I can try ter be of assistance"

When the Kobold speaks up and starts moving furniture, I add my assistance (assuming the two catfolk don't need my help)

-ooc Erkholt is trying hard to be a neutral and friendly party to everyone in the team. With luck, he can act as a rally point for this group to centre themselves and focus their efforts. At the moment he's worried the group is starting to fracture and go their own paths too much.

you have heard through the grapevine, that a near legendary halfling theif named Bob uses a portable hole for various things; to hide in and to put loot in; he once stole a king. rumor has it he has figured out how to travel dimensions with it. There seem to be a whole lot of halflings named Bob who increase the legend; so nobody even knows if a real Bob exists or if all halfling theives are named Bob; but his exploits are legendary. Kind of a Bob knows all; Bob sees all; Bob has stolen it and has three others type thing; lots of jokes around with Bob as the hero outsmarting everyone. That I was caught up watching the game. I try and shake my gloom off as I approach the young boy. Hi there. Say are you hungry? Do you want something to eat and some beer? Would you be interested in watching the ball game with me and Kosan over here? Its actually a great match up so far. Ogres vs Goblins. We are all learning the rules of the game together. Its alot of fun. Figure since June is cheerleading for the Goblin Team, we will cheer for them as well. What do you say?

I watch as Bob the Halfing approachs Kosan offering his hand. I pay little mind to the barbarian feeding himself.

He takes another, desperate, look through the audience for the Kitten, altogether ignoring or missing the effect the passage of the mysterious halfling seems to be having on the crowd in general, except that the parting of the crowd makes portions of the ground easier to see,...

"There!" He hisses softly in Feline, "Just there, past those green guys in black cloaks! Is that the Kittten?!?"

He turns at the imperious tones of the halfling as he and his barbarian companion enter the box. He watches both the newcomers actions, and the responses of the others in the box as they tend to defer to the new arrival. He does not 'stare', but is definitely watching with unabashed curiosity.

I retrieve food for myself and Decidio and seek her opinion on the most recent additions to the chaos.

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

for Decidio:
Ok all; listen up if you will please, we have some choices to make.
it would seem this...Knight Kobold has a plan; we should listen up; seems like either we need to figure out where this seal everyone is talking about is and why it is significant or leave this place after we regain our strength of prayers and study and pursue our goal of freeing the One trapped.

The Kobold says: My plan is simple; we negotiate with Master Bob to investigate the rumor of the trophy and determine if the Seal is there; if it is, then steal it for us; if not track it down then steal it back for us.

Master Bob; hehe yea; I have a tracker, lol
Barbarain: grub bullishmuff doobog tracker wupreme! <mouth full of food>

Decidio: Master Bob; we were told that <she nods> Prince Llvenoc's sister took the seal and hid it as a favor to a dying cleric of Dumathion; supposidly; she hid it in the trophy before the tournement as she knew it would be gaurded and seemed the best short term resting spot; trouble is; who ever wins the tourney; gets the trophy; do we win the trophy or even can we, it looks a brutal game or do we just take it from whomever wins it and take our chances there. Is your skill enough to take it covertly <she looks at Master Bob>

We have time limit before the One we must rescue is sacrificed; I believe we must stay true to that task and leave here after we rest up and follow that course of action each of us; together as a group dedicated to one purpose; not spreading ourselves out on this task and the other like jam on toast. I believe our being here is like a deft fieght or parry; to throw off our pursuers; I think we should procure a team and make appearances to play; then split out and go our way quickly.

Is there any discussion, does anyone have anything to add?

He smiles again at Nebibit, and this time it seems much more energetic.

"Well, Shall we rejoin the conversation, before we are once again left out? When this meeting is done, I'm heading over to where June is at, and look for that Kitten on the way over! Let's start with Llivenoc and young master Aahz, I am most interested in meeting him." Kemnebi says, and brushing his robes into a semblance of neatness, walks over to the other window where Llivenoc and the young deity are watching the game.

Kemnebi waits until they are noticed and acknowledged by Llivenoc and Aahz. The mage bows his head respectfully to the Drow, and more formally to the young deity.

Waiting on Llivenoc before speaking to the boy. While Llivenoc seems to be getting along with him quite well, Kalona DID warn us that first impressions were probably very important with Aahz. And since we missed our 'first chance', I want this one to go as well as possible!

Aahz looks right at you as Llvenoc goes on and on about game theory and tactics; Aahz is certainly interested, but splits his attention.

"Hey, Do cats drink beer?" he holds his mug of beer out to you.

Kemnebi grins.

"I can't vouch for all cats, but this one does! Occasionally." He adds as he accepts the mug from Aahz. The mage takes a drink, then lets out a satisfied sigh and relaxes somewhat. WHen he notices that the lad is dividing his attention between the game and talking, he also turns an ear towards Llivenoc and begins listening to the drow as he speaks about the game. He continues to face the young Power directly when speaking to him.

"Thank you, I needed that. You are Master Aahz I presume? I'm so very sorry to have missed meeting you when you arrived. I was,... trying to help a friend. My name is Kemnebi, and this is my friend, Nebibit. It's very nice to meet you." Kemnebi holds out his hand to the youngster in a traditional greeting with a smile on his face.

In mind LinkWe are here to save the Goddess, to prevent eternal darkness. We have limited time. If playing in this game will further this, then we should do it. Getting the seal would be nice, but can we afford to split our group to get it? If joining the tourney will not help us rescue her, then we must rest up and then continue on our way.

M Human (Greek) Paladin of Athena 5 7/ Knight of Athens 4 6

IN Mindlink It is possible that after rescuing the Goddess we will be required to obtain the seal anyway. Saving the world from one threat is pointless if we ignore another, hatched but the same lunatics.

[mindlink] very true : Namaste responds : no good choices; we will have to trust our allies and rectify what we can afterwards. We cannot afford to split our forces; the Goddess takes precedance; we must maintain our speed and secrecy; all must go or all must stay; thus; we should vote.

male Half-puck Barbarian-1, Cleric of the Grey-3

mindlink Does anyone have any idea of where the Goddess, or is that what they are trying to find out?

Male Drow 5th lvl Fighter/2 Order of the Bow (Crossbow) Initiate

I listen to everyone talk, and debate, and talk some more. Finally I speak.

Decidio, she is my cousin. Not my sister. We find her, and we will get our answer.

The simplest solution is to dangle me out as bait, and she will come find me. Or send me a message. Looking for one person in the stands; compared to finding one person on the field. So I will take the field. Its the easiest solution. If we win the trophy...Great. If not then we still have Plan B.

Meanwhile those who are good at searching; can search for who we are here for.

In the Mindlink. This all or nothing vote garbage isn't going to pass. Everyone has skills unique to them for alot of varied tasks. We have the ability to set in motion several things at once. So if three lives are in danger. An Old Man, a Damsel, and a Kid. Are you only going to save one? Pick and choose who lives and who dies. Thats a bunch of malarkey! We save all three. If you are unwilling to do that. Let me know. Then I will break ranks with you all. Cause I will need as much time as possible to figure out how to save the ones you decided aren't worth saving!

Namaste: It is to much of a security threat to not stay together; we all go one way or the other. Our enemy reads minds; eats brains and can know all you know; we must stay together or have you mind wiped or be put in a realm or state of being where you are not touchable until our task is over.

Llvenoc; we dont even know if your family lives; neither do you, we will not hang you out as bait; your skills are needed with us.

Ronin has promised us information; I believe we shall have it soon. Be ready to set out in twelve hours on our mission to save the goddess; I believe she is the Grecian goddess of the Earth; I know not much more; but loosing and earth goddess in the earth upon which she is the power...is not a good prospect.

hmm, methinks there are many seals; but only one goddess and one ritual in this time and place; we should save her lest they have a seal from some other source or something of equal value. I say to the Goddess and save this seal for another time. Besides; Bob is the greatest evaluator of relics known; he can access the trophy and tell us if it is the real deal or not.

Will you do this Master Bob; please.

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

Master Bob: well shoot; Decidio, your as bad as Lady Ariel, sure, I will do it; take a peak in the trophy and look for a dark seal of the end of the world; hmm, best you find something to occupy your time, this is real work for pros; not simpletons <he directs to the barbarian>

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

<a vast deep voice echoes in the room>
"HEHEH; Simplton; we meet again"

hundreds of separated chain links the same color and size of those in his armor start raining down on him from the darkness above him.

he ignores it and keeps on eating and drinking; occassionally spitting out chain links.

"hey there Dragon, nothing to see here"

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

Aahz laughs; "hehe lookit; foam mustache on a cat

well, why does everyone hate cats so much; I thought maybe cause you dont drink beer <offers the mug to Nebebit> I hear tell anyone who drinks beer cant be all bad. <watches Nebebit>

what in the world; a dragon; oooh; look a black dragon <he looks up to the ceiling;

No one but Kalona and Namaste can see through the impenatrable darkness unless you have some special magic sight.
